  1. X3 on the OE wire not being on a relay. Comes straight from the ECM. Best to get the load off of it.
  2. I am a cat owner and pretty fond of him. But I aint never been that drunk. Now Cat woman brings a whole new outlook.
  3. I put the LMC dash in mine about 3 years ago. It fit well and looks just fine. I am very happy with it. Some of the screws you have to install on the driver side are PITA to get to since you hinge the dash on that side. Put the new dash on before reinstalling the HVAC box. An extra pair of hands for those screws is very helpful. The skinnier the better.
  4. I have to add something here. I remember Mike's hyper mileage runs and there not ones I reproduce. But last week on a fresh tank of fuel I had to make to runs to the house. I am only 100 miles from home so it was easy to do on this one tank. I made 2 trips home and back plus two trips to work and back on the interstate running 70, 75 mph. The trips home I ran 60 tops and 40 minimum. This was about a 70 30 mix, with 30 being the interstate. Now I know slower speeds will net better mileage but the weird thing to me was the lower speeds happened while traveling up and over the Blue Ridge Mountains. My gas gauge was telling me that I was getting some superior mileage and I was not sure something had not gone wrong with.the gauge. But sure enough I filled up with fuel and netted 20.7 mpg. That is a personal best for me. I have only seen north of 20 on 2 or 3 occasions in the 14 plus years I have driven this truck. I just never expected to see that kind of mileage even at lower speeds while traveling the route I take. I was Impressed. All this was with the comp on 5X3 and without my foot to the floor. I did however use the throttle when appropriate. So Mike, keep on hypermiling and I am slowly coming around.
  5. I saw an increase of 1 to 1.5 mpg with the RV275's over stock. I also never got 20 mpg running the interstates but I also run 70 to 75 mph down the interstate. Now slow that down to secondary roads and I did hit 20mg a few times.
  6. FWIW I put on one from AA or AZ or some other 125k ago and it is still working. Mine went and I had no choice. Wish i could remember who because it probably had a life time guarantee with it.
  7. You never told us the camper came with kennels built in.The dogs seem to like them.
  8. 70 mph 6th gear nv5600 edge comp 5X3 rv275 265 75r 16's HX35 level ground around 750*
  9. I do not do a lot of offroading like CDP but still have the OE joints on my truck. Spicer non greseable is what is on it and I would be hard pressed not to put the same back on it. 375lk miles on the truck.
  10. Bought my first one new in 98 in Arkansas. Stayed there 2.5 months and moved on back to the east coast. Traded that one in in 2005 on my current one. Never had to take either of them back for warranty. Had a few small issues but was too far away and just fixed them myself. I live in mine and it is not as easy to take one in. Something major and I would have found a way. But, knock wood, I never did have any major issues.
  11. To save removing the shift tower, if you have a slope you can pull onto you can just add a quart thru the fill hole.
  12. Better get that fixed or we might have to start calling you Jaggett.
  13. Mine idles around 28 or so psi. per the scan gauge that is.
  14. I take it you mean the data for boost on the Scan Gauge. Mine is way out there.
  15. Good to here you got it going no matter what the cause. I have had my fair share of moments.
  16. That was my poor stab at Whos on First with Abbott and Costello if you remember them. Interacting with Me gets a little comical to me sometimes. Are you using these on your 2000?
  17. I only have the one truck and most times it has bed very easy and a few others nothing but a PITA. Go figure.
  18. I was sitting here typing up a response and trying to look things up to link and just give up. ME, I like Dennys prices just not convinced it is OE. Then again I am not promoting Quad 4X4, just saw the kit( a little over board for me ) but contains non grease-able lowers, which I am after, but still not convinced it is oe. Plus the "kit" lists things like the nut, the cotter pins, and other things that should come with an individual ball joint of any brand when purchased. My Moog's came with all that hardware for about 50 bucks each. All the other stuff is just I candy. The only other thing I have seen that gets my attention is some of the "Mopar" sites that sell parts for us lists a set of 1 upper and lower for about $160 and claim them to be OE. It you have not seen them Google the part number from the parts look up and they will pop up. On a side note to ME. When I say ME I mean you. When I say me in my text I mean me it is not you. So ME, this aint helping the head ache I get whenever we talk about ball joints. KATOOM, I hope I have not derailed your topic. The only experience I have is with the Moog that I bought and have served me (I) pretty well over the years. Most I see speaking of them now do not speak well of them.
  19. Her is the kit I have seen. I have not checked out any part numbers since I am not that close to doing yet and I have not tried to see if you can just buy the joints themselves,http://www.quad4x4.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?preadd=acton&key=4510
  20. 16 psi on the cap. As far as I know the orange is fine. Mine had the green when new.
  21. Plain ole green ethylene glycol here since new. No need for anything special. I just flush mine with with the garden hose. then drive ii around flush some more till the water is clear. Then drain and fill. My last change was with Super Tech from wally world. I am by they way on well water.
  22. I had to make an emergency trip home today and hate i missed all of this. My GCW is near 23k with the 5th wheel in tow from a standing start I run my lower gears different than the upper gears. 1st thru 3rd I dont wind it as tight. A shift around 2k rpm works great pulls good. 4th gets wound up to about 2200 to 2300, then 5th I am looking for about 24 or 2500. Not doing this by the torque/hp graphs just the butt dyno and how it feels getting up to speed. My lower gears just work better a lower rpm than the upper ones towing. Empty I keep the rpm lower unless getting on the interstate or just having a little fun. I have also pretty much always towed in 6th. As long as I can maintain my speed at 1/2 throttle on an incline, flat ground is never problem. EGTs stay around 850 IIRC on level ground, maybe 1150 on 1 or 2% grade, again IIRC. The only time I towed without using it was when new. It would barely pull on flat ground then and I was 3k lighter then. It was only after I got some miles on the engine that I could really use OD while towing I guess I will have to pay a little more attention to some TT. I never would have guessed Mike's trailer was that tall. Mine is 12'8" tall according to Cardinal. That leaves me over 6' above that cab and creates alot of drag. Never pulled a TT to see what difference there is in the drag. Not sure how the air flows over the bed with the 5th wheel in tow. Saw some stuff on myth buster about it when they were trying to see what gave better mileage, tail gate up or down.
