loud bang
Have not figured it out yet. Started raining here. I cant see anything out of the ordinary. No dangling parts or anything loose and no fluid leaking anywhere. Truck is driving fine. I guess I could have run over something but as loud as the bang was it seems like I would have seen something or felt something. So for now it is still a mystery.

Truck loses power and wires are cut
The intank pump fuel module will work, but you do have to modify it. My AD came with a kit to do just that. I removed the pump, modified the pickup into a second return for the AD and added a new fitting to the top for the pick up line. No issues with it since the install 5 or 6 years ago. But there is no need to buy an in tank pump module just to throw away the pump. The draw straw is a good option though. Not knocking it at all. Here is a article on Mike's install of his AD. Scroll toward the bottom and it shows how he installed his draw straw. Notice the way that he cut the end of the straw so it would not suck down to the tank. It is cut square with 4 notches 90* from each other. He seems to have very good service with it for at least a decade.

Truck loses power and wires are cut
I think what is being asked is is there any difference between a gas fuel module as compared to the diesel. I have module in mine from the intank pump from dodge. It looks just like the Liberty module that Vualcan sells minus the mods made for the fass and the mods I did for the air dog install. Are there any seals in the module? I dont remember any in mine when I modded it, all the fuels just clamped on.The only seals I remember are on the external connections. I have another question about the modules in general. Does the fuel module not stay on the bottom of the tank all the time? It appeared that what to me when I did mine.

I am using the screw ins myself but also have the Camco with the retainer that screws over the spirals in the hose. They both work fine.

New guy here and a high mile vp44...stock lift pump
I have an 02 ho like yours. lost the 1st VP at 75K miles. Lost the OE lift pump around 140k and it was replaced with the in tank pump from Dodge. Starting issues with the VP around 180k and found out how low my pressure was, about 5 at idle and near 0 at WOT. Installed a booster pump and ran that set up until I lost the 2nd vp at 217K. I ended up swapping to an AD fuel pump around 230k. I am sitting at 367k right now and the VP seems very happy. Not sure why some can some can run around stock and others not. I dont believe the HO part makes much difference personally. A mystery of life I guess. Enjoy what you got. And welcome.

Purchasing my first Travel Trailer need advice
The sewer hoses they give you are usually junk and wont last long. When you replace them just get the thickest ones you can find. They can be pricey but worth it. You just dont want to be messing with &^%$ any more that necessary. They also ought to fill your propane tanks for free when you drive off with it. A lot of the other stuff you need is kind of dependent on your family. Only you can know that. And as IBMobile says. "make some memories".

Bio Diesel?
It is on the rise. Closed today at over $38 a barrel, My understanding is the bio is more solvent like and will loosen up any crud that might be in the fuel. Last time I had my tank out there was no crud in there. Some small debris that looked a lot like bug parts more than dirt. Not sure what else can hide in the fuel system. My last fuel filters were change at about 50k miles. I have just not seen any thing detrimental about running the bio diesel. The truck runs quieter than it ever has, fuel mileage is good, and in some cases better. The comp might deserve some of the credit though. You do need to be sure your fuel lines are compatible with the bio in the percentages you are buying. Mine are supposedly good for up to 20% per the manufacturer, but nothing over that amount. Again the thing that is going to bug me is if the bio is as bad on food cost as the corn ethanol has been. I know we have to fuel our engines, but at the cost of folks eating afford ably, something is just not right about that.

Is this a TV cable thing?
It is things like this that make me happy I have a stick. I have been looking for another truck and the autos around here are the only ones that are reasonable. So maybe I am speaking out to soon.

Absolutely. I bought mine about 8 or 9 months ago I believe. On sale for $500 from DAP.

I think I made a mistake.. axle dump
I have been running a 4" since 2006 and I hear more noise from under the hood than the exhaust. I do still hear it and want to put a FTE resonator on it one day just to see what difference it makes.

I have made one 475 mile trip towing with the comp. Had it set on 2X3 and it pulled great. Plenty of power on short, 1/4 mile or so, 6 or 7% grades. Cruised easily on the flat stretches. EGT's never exceeded 1200* to 1250*. And I netted 11.2 mpg. The trailer is a 35' 5th wheel, 12'-8" tall at 15k #'s.

I like my comp, the adjustability is nicer than I thought it would be. but I have not tried a quad to compare it. I had a Banks Ottomind for many years that was nice. A little less power at 75 hp but it worked well. I would not mind trying some others but that would get a little pricey. I guess they all have their pros and cons.

Bio Diesel?
Similar to what i have experienced. I did leave one thing out of my using the bio. I installed the Edge comp on mine the same time I started running the bio. Not sure how much this would have affected the mileage. I think if had a lot to do with the towing mileage. I will keep using it. I just wish they label the B5 so you would know when you were getting it. I believe it is inevitable that all of us will be seeing it more often. It is pretty wide spread out my. I also wonder if the production of bio has the same effect on food costs as corn ethanol?

Raptor 150 lift pump cummins 2000
I knew I left out an important step. I thought about using the Mike quad. Case of beer, a buddy who will drop the tank in his own lap, then heat up a ball joint until it explodes almost taking out said buudy's left &%$. Oh my!!!

I use the Ripley quad. Adjust screw, climb out from under truck and look at gauge.Climb back under and adjust as necessary.

Raptor 150 lift pump cummins 2000
You can do it either way it does not make much difference. You either have to bump the starter or run the engine tho see pressure for setting purposes. I left mine running since the pressure might vary a little from a non running engine

Morning Pic For Today...........Post A Pic around your place.....
The wife and I took a cruise many years ago and really enjoyed it. It was only a weekend deal with a lay over in the Bahamas. Not long enough to check off the bucket list but very enjoyable. Great deal for the money. One of my favorite arts was winning $2k at the casino. Paid for the trip. What tired of talking to a chicken head? All kidding aside, it is good to see who we are at times.

Bio Diesel?
I don't know about all the technical data. It does work good in my truck. I have better mileage while cruising the highway both empty and towing. About 5-6% empty and about 9-10% on the one towing run I have done. No controlled scientific data. Just my experience.

T The view for me right now. Laney under the right arm and Abigail under the left. My two youngest grand children. My job is close enough to them to live with them and their Mom, my daughter. 2.5 months left here also. It don't get much better folks.

- Bio Diesel?
The thing that gets about the price is everything I read about bio diesel and ethanol talks about the higher cost of production. Yet I see at a couple stations around home that do carry straight UL gas at about 30 cents a gallon more than fuel with 10% ethanol. I guess that is our government subsidies at work. I have noticed a small drop in mileage for the wife's car with the ethanol. I never noticed any drop in my trucks mileage even up to the B15. It is hard for me to tell some times with mixed driving and idleing the engine when it is cold out.- Pilothouse/RAM3500 build
- Bio Diesel?
I have run B15 and maybe a tank or 2 of B20 with no ill effect. Never run a tank out with one style of driving to know what the difference in mileage is on the higher percentage. But I have gotten some good numbers on the B5. I saw no mileage loss on the B5. Since the B5 does not have to be labeled, I dont know how often I get it. I have had no trouble with filters clogging. I would give it a try if like me you go thru alot fuel. Right now I run about 6 days or less on a tank. - Bio Diesel?
