  1. Welcome. I share the same curiosity Mopar does, wher do you hail from?
  2. I cant rule out an electronics issue, but there is no part of the cooling system I cannot grab and hold on to after I am up temp(gauge reading 165* maybe). I can grab the top radiator hose right at the tstat housing and hold onto it. I don't ever remember being able to do that before or on any other vehicle I have owned. The other day, right after shutdown, I noticed how cool everything felt and decided to open the radiator cap. It sprayed my hand with luke warm antifreeze. I know these trucks have very good cooling systems, but I would have expected the anti freeze to at least cause some discomfort to my hand if it was up to temp going into the other side of the radiator. A temp gauge is on the to do list, I just cant seem to get that far down the list just yet.
  3. I am on tstat #6 and it keeps getting colder and colder even in 60 to 70 degree weather, with winter fronts installed.
  4. They started that campaign 15 years ago when I built my first one. The bill boards are exceptional. I don't think there are many that are alike. It has been successful for them and been keeping food on my table for quite some time now.
  5. I had to mow my grass in NC this past weekend. I am in Terre Haute In right now, what do you know about over cooling problems? - - - Updated - - - Cant help with the D'max though.
  6. I just put a set of A1 Auto head lights on my truck. They were $75 for both w/o the turn signals. They also came with bulbs, probably like the oe ones. The light is much better, but there is a small problem with the light dispersion from one side to the other. The brights were extraordinary though however. I have some photos and wanted to mess with them a little before I posted it though. They were cheap and might not last long:shrug:, only time will tell. It is an alternative if you are strapped for cash. Even with the light dispersion problem, they are a great improvement over what I had.
  7. I will let Mike answer the last question. As for the rest you have to replace the lift pump when ever it quits supplying proper pressure. For a new oe lift pump that might be 2 minutes or who knows. A fuel pressure gauge is what you need to have. It is the only way you will ever know if the vp receiving the fuel it needs to be happy. It appears we are a little late with an answer as well.
  8. I have a BC on mine also, but he does not build them in house. The last conversation I had with about, he told me he used more than one rebuilder , but did not volunteer who. He does have a great site with a lot of info and will take a lot of time speak with you. He sells pump w and w/o, or at least he used to.
  9. Eat More Chicken!!!!
  10. If I remember correctly DAP sells them both ways, with and without new electronics.
  11. I found these at RockAutohttp://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=3065934&cc=1440064. They don't appear to have the dhttp://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=3065934&cc=1440064odge logo on them. Well I cant seem to fix the link, but they are at RockAuto.com
  12. I bought my first dodge(V-10) for the truck and the second one for the truck and the Cummins. I felt it was the best engine offered in a pickup. There are some things I don't like, but all in all after almost 12 years of service I cant complain a lot. I have been further and traveled longer in this one than any other I have ever owned.
  13. mine are plastic, so no rust. Mine are not for sale however.

It is a great site. Thanks for your part of keeping going. I would have been lost many times with out you and the other members.
  15. Congratulations to you and your sister. Fine looking lad.
  16. I can grab my top radiator hose any time at the tstat housing and not have to go let of it, even after pulling my 15k 5th wheel. it is not hot at all. I believe the ScanGauge will read coolant temps. I am not sure since I don't have one.
  17. I have been watching this thread closely. I have the same problem except I am running 20* colder than you. I have replaced everything in the cooling system except for the heater hoses and the fan clutch. I have been:banghead: for quite sometime now. I am ordering a new clutch today. I can hear the fan when it engages and disengages, though the last couple of trips I have made the fan does not seem to make as much noise. As said before, the fan makes quite a roar when it engages. Hopefully what fixes yours might fix mine.
  18. This is what my jobsite looks like for now. Just playing in the dirt. But turn 180* and I think I found some weekend entertainment that provide some interesting pictures in the future.A 1/8 mile drag strip and 1/4 mile dirt track. Their season opens up this weekend.
  19. I guess I missed that while I was away. Best wishes on a quick recovery.
  20. While I don't think I am going to do this my self, I don't see anything wrong with it. That is the beauty of this site, people thinking out of the box and the benefits we all gain from it.
  21. Had I done it right the first time I would have missed out on all of that experience I gained the second time..
  22. The key word is "correctly". That is why I experienced 2 tank removals:doh:. The second time was much easier though.
  23. While I would agree with having the access to clean every thing, mine has a 5th wheel hitch and taking it out every time would be a pain. both times I removed mine the tank only had 3 or 4 gallons in it and was easily manageable. I did not have a friend to help me with the tank or the beer. I handled both by myself quite well.
  24. When my truck was new and the low fuel light came on I had 10 or 11 gallons left. After dodge installed an in tank pump I only had 6 left when the light came on. Then when I installed my Air Dog it went 4 gallons. It has remained constant before and after each change, I just had to relearn it.
  25. That is very interesting. Especially the info on the 2 stroke.
