  1. I think my tappet cover gasket and finding my boost leak are foing to take 1st prority for now. I have the JIC, pushlocks on the big line kit and they do work very well.
  2. With the choice of the 2 aove, I would have to go with the Hayden myself.
  3. I have my system connected thru the oe filter cansister also. My AD has the quick connects, one end you can remove with you fingers and the other end you need a removal tool. Not sure why they are differant on each end. Maybe this is where my hard start isuue is comming from. It has probably only happened a half a dozen times in over a year. starts fine 99.5% of the time. I very much agee that the filtration is much better with the full AD set up. Might change the fittings on day in the future. --- Update to the previous post... I have to agree with you. Someone treets me like that I am going elswhere in a heartbeat.
  4. Was that your oe that went out?
  5. That is pretty much what I did for the rebuilt I bought except with much differant results. Maybe you have found what it seems others cannot. Might be worth a try. Keep us posted on how it holds up.
  6. One advantage to the stealth plate is you tap the pump but not the wire. That is how it is noticable, you have to tap the wire which leaves a cut in the insulation. The stealth plate avoids that. And like Mike says, it is a good weather tight connection. You definately need to improve your tranny it is stock. I am no auto tranny man, but every thing I have read tells me yours will be gone soon adding what you are adding. But there are others here more suited to give you advice on that.
  7. Where did you get it from?
  8. A statement like that from a man with a reputation like you carries alot of weight. I take it you have had more than one reason to call it that way. I would be interested in your experiences. Mine AD has run great since install(12 months)with no problem. So I have no experience with warranty.
  9. If I had a only found this place before my truck first died. Hmmm!. Where would i be today? Thanks to all of you , the support is unbelieveable. That is just not for 98 and MM, that is for all of you. thanks
  10. Maybe my next job will be in your neck of the woods and we can replace the evaporater upon dash removal and then it will be an issue.
  11. It cam with the VGA cable, but lowes supplied the bungies.
  12. Wish I had my camera out today while riding home. Local Quick Stop off the interstate; $3.29 for gas and $3.65 for diesel. I filled up last Sunday for what I thouhgt was cheap $3.85 a gallon.
  13. The catch was very good. Computer is company supplied. Replaced about 7 months ago for the sme reason, though it was dropped and did not have anything thrown in its direction. The phone is very good quality. Matter of fact it slipped off of the console about a month ago and landed in my pesi cup and swam quite nicely. It is the same phone the monitor caught. I will be looking for a foam(not phone) in the future.
  14. MIKES IS BUYING ON THURSDAYS!!!!!!!!:cheers:HOW ABOUT THAT!!!!!
  15. The inlet on my 02 is just under 4.5". I have a hx 35 are ours that differant? --- Update to the previous post... A 3" Fernco will fit 3.5", the od of a 3" pipe.
  16. Well days ago things were not going well at the job. Problem on top of problem. So I am trying to work through all of this and keep everyone moving and before I make one call folks start dumping more in my lap. So I get frustrated and toss, maybe throw, my cell phone in the truck and guess what catches it. Needless to say my monitor is not an outfielder, but a solution was found for now.
  17. A 4" Fernco like in the last photo is what I was thinking of. You can get them at Lowes or Home Depot. I can only find a 4 to 3 inch one, but the premise is still the same. A 4" fernco will fit the turbo inlet nicely and then you just need to get what it takes to get down to the inlet size for an air fitting. I just was not sure how much pressure the fernco would handle. Apparently enough. They are in the plumbing department.
  18. I have bought some stuff from Jacob at DAP and ben very satified with him. I dont know anything good or bad about the diesel store. No matter who you get it from be sure it comes with a new computer. That is a must when you get one. If it has an old one you will never know when it is going to fry completely. I have a Blue Chip on mine and it is working great. I do beleive he takes it a little bit further than others. I cant prove that but he covinced me while I had the money in my pocket. $1700 2 years ago. If mine blew tommorrow(still only got a one year warranty)I would have to shop elsewhere. Do you run any 2 cycle in your fuel? If not it is cheap insurance for your fuel system and you might consider it. Here is a good read.http://articles.mopar1973man.com/general-cummins/36-fuel-system/63-adding-2-cycle-oil-to-diesel-fuel
  19. you can get one at rock auto for $100. checked my year not yours. --- Update to the previous post... plus shipping though.
  20. If the raptor is plumbed thru the oe fuel filter cansister, like it should be, you have water seperation and filtration. I agree it is not near as good a having the full fledge AD, but if you cant afford another pump what do you do. The Raptor will supply sufficient fuel just like the AD100, I think it is the same pump. I am not trying knock your recomendation, I have recomended the same thing to others as well and will continue too. As far as the ADII 165, I love it and am glad I bought it. When I bought i had the cash to spend. To FlatTwin, The thing that really might cost you the pump is driving it home with no pressure. That might have cost you alot of money. Put the new pump and see what happens. you might get lucky:pray: --- Update to the previous post... Alright, I am playing devils advocate here, but cannot the newer pumps with the quick connects or even your old school pump do the same thing if they start sucking air some where? If the pump goes you are pretty well screwed whether it is a raptor or an ad. If the raptor is plumbed to the oe canister and you are using the oe plumbing from there to the vp the restriction is counter productive and you will see bad pressure drops between idle and WOT. To FlatTwin, when you install your new pump it would be wise to invest in a big line kit from the oe filter canister to the VP. It will open up alot of fuel flow to the vp and you will see lesser fuel pressure drops. it does cost about $40, but is worth every dime.
  21. I have to get one too. Got a leak somewhere. Thought I found one of my boots chafed thru. Turns out there was not a whole there, yet. Must be somewhere else, gonna have to pump it up.
  22. Maybe not had you been in Russ's position.
  23. You can get the same flow from the raptor as the AD. They both come in 100 gph and 150 gph. I think they are the same pump. The AD comes with the filters, water and air seperation. The ADDII 165 are great pumps,I have one too, but way over kill. They are good for way more than Ill ever have. I think they will support 500+hp.
  24. That would qualify. Puts Mike Rowe to shame.
