senders for electronic gauges are not immune to water hammer either. Use a needle valve.

p1595 speed control solenoid circuit HELP!
According to the 2001 FSM all diesel truck with manual transmissions are servo less and controled by the ECM. My 02 is that way. An auto is operated with a servo thru the PCM, again out of the FSM. Maybe you have to get the ECM flashed for it to work right? My ECM went out a while back and I tried the rebuild route. The first one didn not work and the second on everthing worke but the cruise. The light just stayed on all the time. FInally got an ECM from dodge and it fixed the cruise and every thing else. If your truck did not come with it a reflash might take care of it. Hopefully someone here knows more about that aspect of it thatn I do.

Cool upper rad hose?
You could crack open a couple of injector lines and try cranking it. If you are blowing fuel out that would eliminate that as a possiblity.

Cool upper rad hose?
You got plenty of fuel in it?

2 Stroke and the Common Rail
I ran Leen Diesel for about 6 months several years ago and never saw any differance in milage or power so I quit using it and ran with no addititves for a long time. When I heard about 2 cycle hear and elswhere I decided to try it. Although I still saw no milage gains, my truck did run quieter which I figured was a good thing. Still do.I have seen alot of differant studies with alot of technical info that is frankly over my head. There are just to many ways to skin a cat. So what I have done is to look at the info and personal experiences of alot folks here and elswhere and made the decision to use 2 cylcle. I can live with that. It is just like anything else I have done to my truck, I listen, ask quetions, look at products and then decide what is best for me. I have never used either one of the products the tested and if those and all of the others on the market were chewing up and spitting out engines, I dont think the shelves would be full of them. It is your truck do whatever makes you comfotable, after all it is yours.

Thinking out loud
Nothing wrong with that idea. I am thinking along the same lines my self. Cant imagine what on of these would cost in 2022.

1st I've heard using STP in diesel fuel
This is why I looked up the oil treatment. That stuff is thicker than snot. I think I used in some of the old beaters I drove.

1st I've heard using STP in diesel fuel
I was picking up some 2 cylce at wally world and they have it on their shelf. The container did not say anything about its contents though.

Worried about my VP44 or why is the engine starting hard?
I never heard of that one. so I went outside and tried it. It performed a cluster check but gave me no codes. Just apeared to be a cluster check. I had done a cluster before when my ECM took a crap but dont remeber how i did it. It was diefinately the same results I remember seeing though.

You mean STP oil treatment like Richard Petty used to promote. I thought they still made that and assumed that was what you were talking about. To borrow a phrase from you "I am confused now". I cant believe as thick as that stuff is i could have xeylene kerosene or moth balls in it.

Check your codes too. You can check them by turning the ignition switch on off on off on fairly quickly. Then look at the odometer. It should display p pcu, then codes, then p done, the p ecu then codes and p done again. Just bare in mind this will possibly not show all of your codes, acode scanner is the best way to do this. It will however give you a place to start if you dont have one. It works on my 02 but does not always give up all of the codes.

tow mirrors
I need to replace my tow mirrors. Mine are maual, but I would like to have power, heated would just be a bonus. I looked into my door panel today and see 2 vacant plugs at the mirror bolts. Does anyone know if these plugs are for the power heated mirrors? I found a pair of heated power mirrors for $240 but dont want to spend the cash if they want work. I know i need the switches, still working on those. Just wondering if anyone has done this or knows if the harnesses are for the mirrors. I also cannot find any fuses for them inside the truck or under the hood.

Was his name Richard? If so we might could believe it. To answer your question, I have never heard of it.

Have you noticed and fuel leakage, like may a small drip on the ground? A leak will allow air in the system and cause hard starting. I dont believe you can get the fuel hot enough in the injector lines for the fuel to vaporize. As far as peanut oil, I wouldnot have a clue.

New to Cummins, need some possible fuel diagnostics
The diesel kleen actually does the opposite of 2 cylce oil and is harder on the VP. I am going to need the expert on this to chime in with the info to explain it. I used DK for a while but never saw any benifit from it. Cetane booster actually takes away from the btu content of the fuel. I have a grasp of this but some of the other folks can explain it alot better than I.
