  1. DAP sells pumps with and with out new computers, just like many others. That could be an issue.
  2. bring it on. Mom might miss ya though. or you can bring her and my mother-in-law would have some company.
  3. Same here. It is black after 1500 miles after changing. I used to change it every 4k or 5k with the same results. Now every 8k to 9k with the same results. If mine was that clean at change time I might add another 3k to it.
  4. Hope the four wheeler has a big bucket on it.
  5. You know in NC when we do have to deal with snow like you have, we usually change out of our flip flops and shorts for tennis shoes, sweat pants and a fifth bourbon.
  6. I can see getting squirrlelly in 2 wd, maybe 4 wd would take some of that away. But I know what your saying, when i get behind somebody sipping and sliding like you are saying I give them plenty of room.
  7. My eyes arent that good. Never seen that many springs on pick up.
  8. Is that 8 or 9 springs in that pack(not xounting the overloads)? Mine only has four + overloads like Dually's. Is that the stock springs?
  9. I dont get to do it in the snow but it does work very good on the highway. I very seldom have to do it more than once to get them to back off. If i cant see your head lights in the rear view, you are to close. I dont think i have ever driven ine in the snow since i have had the e brake.
  10. Why use 2 words when 700 will do. You just get wound sometimes ISX and for the most part its usually fun to read.I like Mikes back up lights to. That has got to wake you up:wow: as good as having your windsheild full of my tailgate.
  11. Exhaust brake.
  12. I am no expert on a 53 block, but i have not seen any method that any body will gaurantee the fix will work. I would have to agree with Jl on trying to find a replacement. Just my .
  13. It is the same out east. The Ski resorts are just now getting some decent snow. I have not seen enough out here i tenn to even stay around more than a day.
  14. I have had a couple people call me on that, but i did get a fair amount of fuel thru it with just the AD. The VP is one from blue chip and had less than 10k on it wen i installed the AD. I have put 25k on it since with no issues with the fuel system. I guess i will just live with it.
  15. I would have to agree with you. I know this truck better than any one i have ever had. The good and the bad. But 10 years old, 250k and it still does what it was designed to do even better than new. She is a keeper.
  16. I saw a few refrences to not being able to pump fuel thru the VP. I have also seen this stated in other forums. I believe MM showed you could pump it thru the return in his video. When I installed my AD i was using the AD to reprime the fuel system and had 3 of my injector lines open. the AD pump fuel right thru the injector lines. I spent 45 minutes trying to find a leak because i forgot they were open. Is this unusual or the norm?
  17. Man, that thing is big. How tall is the man holding him up? I did realize a wolf grew that big.
  18. Holy smoke! Beauty is in the eye of the buyer.
  19. Wa to go. Got me beat hands down.
  20. That is the same spring pack that is in mine, appearance wise anyway. I dont have any air bags though. I'm minus the rust also. I remeber a thread on here somewhere about in bed campers. they can get pretty heavy I would think with all the extras some of them have.
  21. I could stand a little of whatever it is you have. the lighter foot most definately. How many gallons did you put in?
  22. I was curious about the oe lift pump since i never messed with it. i did not know what powered the oe. My AD relay is connected to the oe harnes for the old lift pump to perate a relay. My power for the pump is coming form the alternator thru that relay.
  23. Since i never say how my oe lift pump was connected, can one of yall enlighten me. When my oe went I took it to a dealer and they gave me the coveted in tank pump. When i installed my AD the plug for the old lift pump was just hanging there and I plugged into it. Did the oe lift pump go thru a realy? I removed one on the firewall for the intank pump but do not remember any thing plugged into the oe lift pump harness.
  24. Ok I edited my sig to show QCLB camper package. the camper package is what gave me my set up including the overloads, rear spring pack, rear anti sway bar and I think the Dana 80 rear end(not sure on that one though). I know some of our trucks came with the Dana 70, but i am not sure how they worked all of that out. If there is a better way to list it, I am all ears. I hope i am still friends with all of you. I was not trying to show off. It was just one of those things I had to do, not something I wanted to do. I have always wanted to try and see how it worked though.
