  1. I am going give that a shot when I get home. In have a dedicated baster in the shop for that. Not turkey nor chicken. Just been a while since I have done it. Just seems weird that its groaning formthe 3 minute ride for coffee and then on restart nothing. Guess maybe the fluid gets warm just sitting the resevoir for those few minute is not running.
  2. Thqt will do it too. Did you change the oil?
  3. I do believe l have gotten my moneys worth out of it.
  4. Been dealing with some mid 20's temps of late. Fire the truck in the am and the steering pump is moaning and groaning. Thats not to surprising to me since the pump is the OE pump and could stand a fluid change. The weird part is I drive about a mile from the house to get coffee and its moaning and groaning the whole way. Park, get coffee then jump in the truck fire it off and no moaning and groaning, not a sound. Drive 25 miles to the and still nothing. Not complaining but it does seem weird that after a mile of it complaining, all I have to do is shut it down and restart and it quits complaining.
  5. I guess those housings are better suited for halogens. I have been meanig to put a set of halogens in mine to see how they look. Looks like yours light the road pretty well. A lot better than the OE style housings.
  6. a bit curious of that myself. $80 a tire for load range E is out there.
  7. No louvres. I think they look very similar to me reflector wise any way. Just just a curved back with creases to fit.
  8. Sounds like your fuel pick up is too short.
  9. When I put my basket back it turned a little tightening the locking ring. I believe the float can hit the side of the tank if not turned parralell with the tank.
  10. The shroud is definitely shorter. Makes hard to tell which bulb is further from the reflector. Are the halogens blinding also. They look a bit better, cant tell from behind them. This LED's in mine from 75'. It is pretty accurate pic, from a kneeling pisition.
  11. Does the ECM know you stuck a diesel in there? Have to assume you swapped in the diesel electronics. Has it done this since the swap?
  12. I had a conversation with them back then on the about deliveries. I was a bit uncomplimentery but folloedmwith I chose the economy shipping and really was not complaining . Even there economy shipping was pretty good. They were a bit more involved back then and used to send us the 5% discount code. That stopped back then too. They have only sent me one wrong part over the years and I let it sit in a box for several months before installing on the wifes. By then it was to late to send back and I did find the right for almost the same price. Most all that I buy from them is near 50% less than I can get it local so I guess l will stick with them until they burn me. But the CS sounds pretty bad when that happens.
  13. No problem. I am just trying to get a handle on why these things dont work in some housings or the housings dont work with the bulbs. Seems I got pretty lucky and dont know why.
  14. The reason I mentioned bulbs was how far the LED's protrude. Mine stick into the housing a good bit more yours maybe. Not for sure whats going on. Got a pic with the halogens in?
  15. Me thinks me buddy @JAG1 is addicted to chickens.
  16. My drive from here is 4 and half hours. But I85 is 7nder consturuction thru a lot od SC and can get crappy. It is improving but that drive has taken 6 and hours due to traffic. On days I see it coming I take a northern route up thru Ashville NC. About 5 and a half hour drive but traffic flows better and the scenery is much nicer through the mountains.
  17. It is the art of trying to get every last .10th of a mile out of a tank fuel. By whatever means. I like good mileage as much as anyone but on my by weekly trips to and from home for work I dont drive 55 mph to get better mileage, l drive 75 to spend less time on the highway. Every extra hour in the truck is one less hour at home.
  18. I have just been wondering about it for a while. I put mine in on a Sunday on the side I40 when the old one blew. It could of had 1 or 20 cores l didn't much care as long as it worked. It's held up just fine though. Surprisingly easy to do too.
  19. You know I have heard 2 core and 3 core thing around here and the replacements are only 2 core and should be 3. My OE was only 2 core and just like the 2 core I replaced it with. Did the early models come 3 core and were they any thicker than this?
  20. Nothing fancy for me. Had to buy from AA or AZ about 9 years ago. Spectra I think. Still in the truck and working fine.
  21. @Mopar1973Man would know more about that than. Right now my comp is pretty much an EZ without the pump tapped. 18 to 18.5 was pretty much where mine was when new.
  22. Those may draw more attention to bulbs being the problem. Here is mine. Cheap ones off of amazon. But the beam is much more focused than yours. This at 40'
  23. The double one is most likely after market and not OE. The y and t steering were option back in the late 90's i think.
  24. I have an Edge Comp on mine. No adjustability. Just whats in the box. It is a 5 level tuner 60 to 120 hp. It has 5 sub for brining on full fuel based on boost. Thats it. Right now level 4 and 5 are not available since the pump is not tapped. Vouds my pump warranty. A quad may be in the future.
  25. Me too. I had no idea the head lights were any part of the engine wiring harness
