Banks exhaust brake
I do beleive the draw back for the Banks is getting parts. But mine ran for 7 years without the need for any. Not sure how much better any of them can be since all it does is block the flow of the exhaust. The butterfly in the Banks closes off all but maybe an 1/8" space around the OD of the elbow it sits in. Best I could tell after looking at others is they do pretty much the same thing. I think Pac brake is a bit more sofiticated with some thing on the butterfly. Could be a different brand though. The whole object of the e brake is the block the exhaust flow and turn the the engine into an compressor. JMHO.

1st post and need advice and or help ?
Well first off welcome. Second off the fuel dripping is most likely coming from the return line on the back of the head. Reach around there and you can feel it or get a mirror and you can see it. It is a banjo bolt with two sealing washers and they have probably gone bad. Third the puke bottle on the front of the engine needs to go. The way the wind swirls around up front that oil is hitting the the radiator and grabbing dirt with it. It will plug up the radiator eventually. Here is mine and we have seen many worse over the years. Fourth your MAP sensor could be bad, but I will defer to the more knowledgeable of the Quad for that one. And fith the blue smoke could just be from the expiring VP the white not sure. Next time it smokes white smell it and see if it smells like diesel fuel. I would then think it is the VP also. Lets see what others have to say. And again welcome.

Tire recommendations
My 96 had 245 75 16's on it and they looked. The 265's suit me fine and look 3" taller even though they are not.

Banks exhaust brake
I have to agree with this. When I bought the Banks stinger plus from them tney were all ears and very helpful. But have not experienced that from them since. Granted I have only tried to contact them 3 or 4 times many years after buying the system, getting a response from them was not good. I guess when you got $2500 you want to spend they are all ears.

Banks exhaust brake
I already had a banks exhaust so the down on it worked with the exhaust brake. Not sure how it would work with different exhaust. But IIRC itnwas supposed to work with the srock exhaust just smaller down pipe. I will get you a picture of mine in a bit. The banks exhaust fit right with all the stock hangers but its been way to long ago to remember what the stock exhaust looked like. Slippy fingers on this repost. The banks came that way, an elbow that holted to the turbo then the down pipe. Hereis wherethe down pipe connects to the exhaust. The clamp in the upper left is about 3 inches in front of the cross member. It woud appear to be a better picture of a fass cooler. _

Banks exhaust brake
It actually came with a down pipe that fit the elbow with the butterfly in it. Here is picture looking down from above the elbow. Front of the engine to the right. The down pipe is flared to meet the elbow. The down pipe has a braket on it that bolts into two ears on the elbow. One of the bolts and ears is visible to the left of the elbow.

Banks exhaust brake
I have one. Put it on about 8 years ago. It worked fine up to a year ago. The something to it and it would not close and would not open but to about 85%. I think seal went in the actuator but not sure. Cant seem to find time to open it. Tried to price a new actuator but no one that sells them that I talked to could get just the actuator. Banks was jot much help though I did try real hard, other pressing financial matters. That being said the brake worked great. My 5th wheel weighs 15K. I could come down the mountain from Ashville NC on I40. 6 to 7% grade in 4th and only use the service brakes 5 or 6 times to maintain speed. If you came down l40 to my house from there you might remember that grade. I will glady fix mine when I make time or even replace the actuator one day.

Heater Climate Control Unit fan switch failure?
Try it with the truck running. With no vacuum the system defaults to defrost.

Heater/HVAC Air only goes to Defrost Vent
Yes. It goes thruright where the AC linez pass thruu the fire wall. Mine broke there some years back. It is small 1/8" plastc lne. IIRC it has a fitting on lt. Be careful heat from the exhaust made mine brittle and it broke. Not much to work with either.

Oil leak maybe idk
Pictures maybe?

More turbo questions
My Banks EB did that everytime you started the truck. I have the actuator off the truck due to an issue right now but the butterfy still moves freely after 7 or 8 years. I had to wire it open.

Timing regarding cetane number
I would not know. My work takes me away from home and l am only there for the weekends. Time there is much more peecious than squeezing out a bit more mileage. 19.5 mipg out of a truck that weighs 7500 # is fine by me. I am not hyper miler. If l only 17.5 at that speed I would not slow down. My 96 had a V10 in it. Try 12 mpg empty goung downhill wit a tailwind. I am on my 5th set of Cooper ATP's. They have been very good tires fo me.

Timing regarding cetane number
They also came with 265's as option. Thats what l have run on mine ts entire life. 70 at 2000 rpm. I usually run about 75 and get right at 19.5 and thats with the Comp.

Possible head gasket leak
My wife is ok with a 4th gen as long as it is an auto and she does not have to contribute to the payment or insurance.

Timing regarding cetane number
Can you two really compare timing numbers with the large difference in tire size? Just curious.

Adrenaline Symbol
Definitely a pressure symbol. See them on most equipment we rent.

Cruise Control Off switch on Clutch fail
Its the switch that wont let you start your straight drive unless you push the clutch in. The 02 was the first and only truck l have ever had with one. It bothered me so I bypassed it. About a year later I reach in the window and start it. It is in reverse and starts. It takes off about 15 feet and hits the 30 yard dumpsters and pushes it off the pavement into the dirt and sits there with the rear wheels spinning when the dumpster wont move anymore. Just happy I had the hitch in the receiver or the bumper would have taken a beating.

Possible head gasket leak
Maybe you knocked something loose under the cowl.

Possible head gasket leak
I did not have near the problems you but it was very satisfying hearing it run. And to my surprise very little priming.

Average mpg for basically stock truck
The new are set by Bosch. The rebuilt DAP sets the pop pressure. I have set of the rebuilt and they me told they set them at 310 bar.

Cruise Control Off switch on Clutch fail
I tested mine on the way to work this am. The first time the engine was under a little load. The engine revved and I hit cancel just shy of 2900 when it revved. I did it again under a ittle load and let it go and it climbed to 2900 and the cruise kicked off and went to idle. Did it one more time with the same results. So something is kicking mine off when depressing the clutch. Its not the clutch safety switch, l bypassed mine 15 years ago. Maybe the ECM does it when it sees the engine reving in the cruise state. It is a bit un nerving to watch the engine rev like that towards the redline but the cruise did shut off.

Heater Climate Control Unit fan switch failure?
When you remove the blower motor you will see it on the left side or rear in the hvac box. Its pretty obvious once you are contorted under there. The part you linked looks right. I did not compare any part numbers though.
