  1. hope he gave you cash. good luck.
  2. i feel so inadequate or just lucky now. sucks you had to go thru all of this.
  3. I am using a Scan Gauge ll for my 2nd gen. But there better, less expensive options out there. Should work 3rd gens also.
  4. Scan it for trouble codes and see what comes up.
  5. Did you replace the crank tone ring? Missed it if you did.
  6. Good to hear. I had nothing to offer.
  7. Definitely has not happened to me. Wish I could help. You did happen to carch any of this latest flooding did you?
  8. If you just want a small bump in power the RV275'S are great. But if you think you will get bit by the power bug get the 7 x .010's and a a Quad and you can have the stock and power together. The power bug can be highly infectious. I do miss level 4 and 5 on my Comp while the pump remains untapped for warranty reasons.
  9. This has been fun to read. I think the 2 nuts are "jammed" together. I gotta get one of those SAE/metric combo adjustable wrenches. Tired of carring 2.
  10. You may have lost the computer on the Vp. I would clear the codes, restart the engine and see if the codes come back. You can look the codes up in the artcles section under 2nd gen 24v, obdll error codes. The 1688 is the nasty one.
  11. Mine can be smokey with the Comp. Not bad on the RV275'S but I stuck 50's in and smoke doubled for not much more power. It is all relative to what you want I guess.
  12. From the picture it would appear my shifter would be very close to hitting it. It looks like it comes out even with front of the seat. Thats right where my shifter is in 2nd.
  13. You would like the RV275's. They are a nice litlle bump in power for a stock truck and you might pick up a small mpg bump out of them. I got about 1 mpg out of mine. A brand new set is about $400 or a bit less.
  14. My dad died 24 years ago and mom about 14 year ago. Its funny how some thing small will bring some tears on but I always end with smile and a breif conversation with one or the other even to this day.
  15. Mine is overdue for a change. Not sound last year but it is rebelling this year.
  16. I had a set of injectors that the orings flat spotted like yours that were leaking. Took it apart on the weekend to find out why they were leaking and discovered them. I couldnt find any so I put the old ones on from my old set of RV275's that already had 150k on them. They were still pliable where the ones that flat spotted broke when I tried to take them off. All o rings are not created equal.
  17. I actually have one of those aging in my shop.
  18. I have jad mine for 9 years though the first and second one last 4 years each. This latest is a 4g pump so hopefully it is better, time will tell. Mine were both replaced under warranty all I paid was shipping. You can just replace just the pump. Even the 4g pump fit my base from 9 years ago. Not sure what the pump alone cost. I still believe they both should have lasted a good bit longer than they did. @Mopar1973Man's first last 12 years or more.
  19. As someone who receives a lot of job related shipments I have seen this occasionally. Some I have received look like they road on a camel for a month. Some in such shape I have to refuse them. I dont know your guy from Adam so who knows. One shipment I could see, two gets a bit fishy so I understand your mistrust. Good luck.
  20. It looks DAP has a sale on some of their FASS titanium pumps. Might be worth a look.
  21. That does sound pretty freaking high to me also. But I have not ever shopped for the 2wd ball joints.
  22. That might explain it then. Fass and AD are basically the same kind of pump. If I was getting one I would get one with filter head built into it for what the hpfp costs. Now in the FWIW column we have several memebers here that a running fuel pressures quite similart o what you are seeing. And have been for along time with success. I personally like the higher pressure and will keep it there. More than one school of thought on this though.
  23. Vanilla is the best. White meat.
  24. His fass hpfp is an odd looking pump for my eyes anyway. Per install instructions I looked at on line it is adjustable and has an adjustment screw on the pump body. Sorry I cant link it but you can look up the instructions on line.
