  1. Update, I did get the tuner back last Monday, didn't get to install it until Friday and I was able to connect to it again. Finally went for a drive today and confirmed it's working as it should.
  2. I'll have to wait until spring to see if I've gained any real mpg. I have the adrenaline and smaller tires now but since I'm a big ol' weenie with my remote start my truck idles a lot in the winter. I do love using the 3cyl high idle at work though, everyone in the building knows I'm getting ready to leave.
  3. Tech support suggested I send the module in for testing, actually they ask for the Adrenaline module and the Iquad module. I shipped them out yesterday and they called me today. They said the Adrenaline module tested fine but the Iquad module wasn't working properly. They reprogrammed it and tested it with multiple devices and it's working fine now. Hopefully I'll have it back this weekend.
  4. I got the map sensor plugged back into the factory harness so that should at least get me running normal again. I sent an email to tech support to see what they say.
  5. I'll have to call and ask, hopefully they are available next week. In the installation manual it says jumpstarting or hooking up a trickle charger with the device connected will void the warranty. That leads me to believe bad things happen when you do one of those things. What's really annoying is this was never an issue with my Edge tuners. Why isn't there some kind of safety device in the Quadzilla that prevents it from getting damaged under those conditions. To make things worse my truck is now throwing a P0237 code which I assume is due to the map sensor junction with the lifeless Quadzilla. My truck is now a complete slug requiring almost 3/4 throttle to get moving from a dead stop. I guess I'll remove the quad from that equation to see if it fixes that issue. I just got home from work and my back is killing me so hanging over my truck doesn't sound like a lot of fun at the moment.
  6. Did a little reading and I'm pretty sure I just ****** myself. When my truck wouldn't start yesterday I put the trickle charger on it for just a minute before I decided to just get new batteries. Apparently that's all it takes to turn a sophisticated $750 piece of equipment into a damn paper weight. I still have my Juice tuner, for $750 I could get a stock turbo and injectors to put back on my truck. I'm gonna go find a wall to put my fist through now.
  7. Some of there stuff is quite handy, but I shy away from the manifolds, electrical items and anything with too many moving parts. I see a lot of there stuff return as warranty items.
  8. I went to leave for work this morning and my batteries were low enough the truck would crank slowly but not enough to start. I got new batteries at work and put them in when I got home. My quadzilla is no longer working now. I checked the fuses and the connections and got nothing. I took it for a drive and can tell it's not doing anything.
  9. When I replaced the shaft, the splines were all chewed off on the box end, the flat spot was the only thing making contact. I think I noticed this with the 2nd reman gear box I installed. I don't like Dorman parts as I see way too many of them come back as warranties and I have replaced a couple exhaust manifolds that were cracked and made by them. If anything I would like the Borgeson just for the sake of getting the Dorman part off my truck.
  10. Oh yeah, it's running much cooler now. I'm between 550-650* at 65mph or less and about 700* at 80mph. I'm still slowly tweaking the tune though, added another half degree of timing to the light throttle setting. I've started a stupid tune but that's hard to work on in icy weather and next spring I'll start on a tow tune. I'm also getting into the habit of leaving the OD off if the RPM's will be lower than 2k in 3rd gear. It helps that light throttle timing kick in sooner for cruising around town.
  11. When my truck was stock I never noticed an increase in EGT when I was upsizing tires. I was doing fine with my 33's until I swapped the turbo and injectors and then everything was getting too hot too quick. The Quad helped and going back to stock tires helped as well. It also made the truck feel quicker and all around more pleasant to drive again. I do miss the meaty look of big tires though.
  12. The Quad idle function is off, I heard it would cause issues since I already had the trucks computer updated to activate it. So the other probe is just getting air blown on it from the deactivated cylinders, that makes sense.
  13. I don't think there is any real issue here, just thought this was weird. I have started my truck the last 2 days with the 3 cylinder high idle engaged. When I get in the truck my EGT gauge is only reading 50* while the Quad is reading around 560*. I have both sensors mounted next to each other before they enter the turbo. When I step on the brake and return to normal idle, both readings equalize. Does the 3 cylinder idle shut off the first 3 or last 3 cylinders possibly causing this? I kind of assumed it shut off every other cylinder, 1/3/5 or 2/4/6. If it matters I am using the moparman switch with the TSB enabled and not the Quad high idle functions.
  14. I read the install instructions about grinding the shaft flat on one side, it seems like most people are able to do it without removing the box. I'd rather not remove the gear box again, 4 times on one truck is too many. I'll check that bearing as well next time I get under the hood.
  15. I replaced my steering shaft a couple years ago with a Dorman part. The truck was my daily at the time and I needed it back on the road right away. While I have little faith in Dorman would upgrading to Borgeson shaft improve my steering feel any? I already have a Red head box and HD 3rd gen T-style steering. I still have a little play left in the steering which I'm wondering if it's caused by the cheap shaft twisting.
  16. I did not do the TBN, I may try it next time. Their comment on the silicone was air filter as well.
  17. At my work we just dropped Moog and went all in on Precision. None of it is made in the same place though, even our house brand, the parts come from all over the world. Some of them are made in the US, but mostly scattered about the globe. China, Taiwan, Turkey, Mexico, Finland, Germany to recall a few I remember.
  18. I'll send in a sample to Blackstone once in a while, last one was good, silicone was bit high but otherwise clean.
  19. I recently got a set of the 7x.009 VCO 100hp injectors from DAP put in my truck. They are a tad smokier when cold but it clears right up when the truck gets warm. So far I'm happy with them. They were really smoky when I was still running my Edge tuner but the quad has cleared that all up. I'm working on my "Stupid" tune right now and am just starting to see a little bit of smoke.
  20. I have the Infinity system with different speakers. The PO of my truck had swapped in some Kenwood speakers and I could see the amps are still in the doors when I swapped in some new Pioneer speakers. I don't know if they are working but they are there. I also had the power heated hippo ear mirrors, I ordered a set of the 4th gen style tow mirrors from 1Aauto and they plugged right in. I also sprung for the power folding with marker light as well and those two features you do have to wire in.
  21. I watch Greg Alberalla on youtube, he builds Cummins trucks for himself and always uses Mishimoto radiators and intercoolers. Been watching him for years and he's never had an issue with any of them.
  22. It's a little hard to tell being as how my speedometer is so far off, but my load % is usually around 20%, EGT's between 6-700 and the cruise timing kicks in a lot more often. The truck is lot nicer to drive now too, the stock tires make steering easier and the truck doesn't seem to wander as much now either. I need to play with the turbo though, I think the wastegate is set kind of low as 28-30psi is the most I can get. Yeah, my buddy got drunk and ordered one for himself and then got drunk again, forgot about the first one and ordered another one. He gave me the extra and I kind of felt obligated to put it on the truck because they aren't cheap. It's just bolted to the grill though and I will probably remove it next year when I replace the grill.
  23. Got my 3rd gen wheels mounted with some new rubber so it's back to stock now. Got my spare tire updated as well since it had more cracks than a plumbers convention.
  24. I just got some OEM Dorman lugnuts. Part number is 611-162, cost about $3 each, luckily you only need one, I needed 32.
  25. I picked up a set of chrome 3rd gen wheels over the weekend and I ordered a new set of OEM lugnuts so I can go get new tires on Monday.
