  1. For sure, I used to be a fairly aggressive driver. Lately I’ve learned to just sit back and watch the stupidity unfold around me and try not to get caught in it.
  2. Wow, I been gone too long. Glad to see you got some great people taking care of you and that you’ll continue to be around awhile longer. The big “C” sucks, wife had it and now my father in law just started chemo as well. I think he will be on some form of chemo for the rest of his life though. You weren’t doing the lipstick yet when you came down last time were you? I remember the eyeliner and you had a couple cool wigs. Some of the stories you got about your interactions with people were pretty crazy too. You have my number man, I’m not much for giving advice but I’m a good listener.
  3. For a week or two at least, lol. Back in December a gal made a wide turn and ran her mirror down the side of my bed and back door. It didn’t hurt the truck but it did mess up my wrap. The color I was using is no longer in production so the insurance is paying to have my whole truck wrapped a new color. I won’t say what color yet but the truck should be easier to see when it’s done as this is the second time I’ve had this kind of incident. They gave me a rental rig too, 22 Ram 1500 CC with a V6. It’s nice and all, but it’s no Cummins.
  4. That’s pretty cool, I know some people had been asking those.
  5. Both times I’ve had issues with a seatbelt light, this was the cause.
  6. After riding in 2 vehicles with air conditioned seats, I decided I needed to have one. Mustangs starting in 2015 and up have them you say? My search began, only requirements I had was the seats and a V8. Some how my wife was on board with driving 4 hours up to Kennewick WA. to look at this 2015 triple yellow GT with only 5k miles. It’s in as ordered condition and still smells new. The only problem with the car is it still has the original tires. That will be rectified shortly. I did trade in my 2006 GT, gonna miss all the attention it used to get.
  7. I just used a breaker from O’Reillys as well.
  8. I think I got everything while I was at work today. I’ll text you on Sunday and get the address from you. I haven’t been out there since you reset my speedometer for the big mud tires I used to run.
  9. I’ve been running the green Gates HD belt for a few years now. I replaced the tensioner at the same time and haven’t heard that shut down squeak ever since.
  10. Sweet, will you be around until Sunday? I assume you’re out at Muddys place, I would need the address again. I’ll read through the article again and grab the other pieces.
  11. Any Chance I could get you to do the W/T mod on my truck? I have the 150 amp circuit breaker.
  12. Do you need to remove all the injector lines to remove the intake plate? I was looking at the Crazy Carls intake plate in the store and says it installs in about an hour. I know if I have to remove the injector lines it will take a lot longer than an hour.
  13. When my seat belt light wouldn't go off I simply assumed it was the wires in the buckle side that had shorted out or broken. The light would shut off if I leaned forward and come back on when sitting straight up. I went to the salvage yard and got another one and that fixed the problem for several years. The issue has returned though, those wires can only get bent around so much before they break. If the plastic sheath supporting the belt hadn't fallen apart I doubt it would be an issue. I'm due for another salvage yard shopping spree anyhow.
  14. Would an injector suddenly go bad like that? He's thinking about having them all replaced since he's nearing 100k anyhow.
  15. Ooh, that breaks my heart. Hopefully you can get it workable again.
  16. I just had to smog my truck last month, lady ran a mirror under the truck but never popped the hood. Just stabbed the OBD2 port and the sensor in the stack. I put the quadzilla on level 0 and passed with a .02, max allowable being .40. Having the Quad does make smog checks easy as I did run the smarty/Edge combo for a little while and would always change the smarty tune and unplug the Edge. The Quad has also made tuning my compounds easier, getting closer to 18mpg now.
  17. I'm trying to help my friends son figure out an issue with his truck. It's a 2018 Ram 2500 with a 6.7/Auto, it's lifted with I think 37" tires. He had the truck deleted over a year ago and has EFI live tuning and the knob on the dash to switch tunes. The truck has about 90k miles on it currently and has stock turbo/injectors/intake. He just took a job in Montana and drove straight there, about 14 hours I think he said and had to fight a pretty nasty headwind most of the way. The next day and every day since when he starts the truck in the morning it idles really rough and makes a lot of black smoke. It will clear up and smooth out after a little bit and run fine the rest of the day though. The morning temps have been 25-40 where he's at.

  19. If it was a dealer retrofit, there may also be a relay hanging in the corner of your engine compartment, driver side by the firewall.
  20. Ended up dragging the Belvedere home as well along with a 93 F-150. My back yard is now at capacity.
  21. There actually was another car it shared a living space with, a 1959 Belvedere in decidely worse shape. That car is being sold to someone else though. Nope, it belongs to a friend of mine, it is currently being stored in my back yard though. It's got a 440 from a 1968 Polara police car.
  22. It wasn't anything too heavy, built some walls for my flat bed and loaded up 3400lbs of scrap, rolled across the scales at just over 15k total. I also hauled a 1959 Plymouth Fury. The truck pulls so much harder with a load now, no hesitation in getting up to speed in traffic. It was a night and day difference compared to just a single turbo. I never crossed 1000* EGT even while pushing it hard on level 5 of my towing tune. The whistling, oh how I love the whistling.
  23. On the really cold days my gauge barely cracks 100* with the OEM heat exchanger. They say this heats up the fluid quicker and even suggested putting shut off valves on it if you didn't need the extra heating in the summer.
  24. I was casually looking for a transmission line kit and came across this fancy transmission pan. It allows you to bypass the heat exchanger, it has fittings in the pan to run engine coolant. It looks like it could eliminate the possibility of making a large milk shake should the factory exchanger fail. It's not cheap but it has me rubbing my chin and going Hmmmm.
