  1. The quality of the road matters, out in central NE on I-80 they used recycled tires in with the asphalt, you can hear the tire noise drop the second you hit that 22 mile (i think) stretch, can barley hear tire noise vs running on the other sections of road. Drive US 81 between Concordia KS and when it turns into I-35 north of I-70 you better have a strong stomach because you bounce so much, your head hits the roof of your truck. I just always blame the "big Trucks" (sarc)
  2. When my current VP fails I have seriously consider that, but I would have to scrounge for the parts, 3k plus for conversions in heavy on my wallet.
  3. I wish I could find my Maint. records but I'm sure my VP lasted between 400k -500K since my 53 block cracked at 453K just can't remember whether the electronics failed before or after that. It almost felt like exhaust was plugged, not a dead spot like the APPS but just a restriction, paid $400 to figure out it wasn't exhaust plugged.
  4. Yea, I just looked them up, I knew I had driven by their place.
  5. There used to be a company out of KY, TST that the engineer was a former Cummins/Dodge guy, not sure what happened to them. Sorry they are out of Columbus IN.
  6. Yea, he's just a hop and skip from you, no reason for the jump. Wish I was that close to him, shipping real kills a great price on parts.
  7. So what kind of HP you think your engine produces? Sorry I'm not up on all the stuff that can be done to these, like v2 tuning, that a Quadzilla? Sorry I seem ignorant.
  8. I love the combo, I also had a Hypertech programmer that was in conjunction with the EZ so according to both their advertised HP increase of 60hp a piece really pulled great.
  9. Thought maybe I was just not technically advanced enough to click on link correctly.
  10. Just wondered, I cleaned all my old Injectors thinking I might save money buying nozzle's like 50hp or what not, ended up buying new RV275's Bosch from local diesel shop, no cores needed. guess I just wasted my time cleaning old cores.
  11. Anybody ever buy just nozzles and reuse old core for injectors, have a local diesel shop set them up?
  12. You can buy urethane bushings and have the centers pushed out of the OEM brackets probably cheaper if you have a machine shop close.
  13. I found a good dash core a local u-pull-it, because mine was all cracked, I got a whole new (to me) agate interior for under $100 (old interior was LT/Gray) I did buy a new Dash cover from LMC truck. Like your Stacks, I went out side the box because of 115Gal tank in bed.
  14. I bought some carpet off E-Bay, first put down a sound barrier, I had to slice the carpet to make it fit, because I had to raise the doghouse due to trans swap. You probably might not have to slice your down the middle like I had too. Don't think I had more than $100 total barrier/Carpet. Used 3M Super 77 spay adhesive to tack carpet down.
  15. Been there, done that. Sends me back to "Something went wrong" page. No biggie was just curious.
  16. Under the General conversations forum there lists a Government & Politics Sub forum, but every time I click on it, It say's an "something went wrong", just wonder what happened to it.
  17. Who woulda thunk it! What happen to the politics thread?
  18. I wish I had your knowledge in electrical, tech, etc I yearn for the day's the Motorola Startac was the cats meow in "smart phones"
  19. Not a chicken, but is this still considered poultry?
  20. I wish I understood all that, Maybe when my grandson turns 1year old he will be able to teach me.(Sarc)
  21. Snowflake warning! Non PC photo.
  22. Thanks for your service! Cool beans!
  23. Ya I'm gonna dig through all my Cummins parts that are scattered all over, see if for some reason I kept my old one, can't remember why I replaced it, but I am a pack rat, maybe I have one. Somewhere.
  24. Ya, you beat to that oil pressure sensor, I was going to get it today, early bird gets the worm.
