  1. Found a loose tie rod adjuster. Clunk seems to be gone!
  2. Your truck must not have had a good life? That’s not much miles.
  3. It’s not that bad. Just did mine. Going to redo I though next year as I cheated and did a quick fix by splicing the heater core pipes. Going to do evaporator and new dash and pull the heater box and do another heater core the correct way when I do it. I just wanted to get through this winter without freezing and trying to scrimp and save.
  4. Iv put more miles on lately as I got a better job farther away and have been driving longer distances.
  5. I’ll look at em in the light tomorrow. Left as in driver side battery?
  6. Me two! Hey I see you have a 6 speed and 3:54s. Do you like that? What rpm do you run on hwy? I just got a parts truck and am doing the swap.
  7. Man seems like there’s been a lotnno f small weird issues going on with my truck lately. I developed a new issue late last night and this evening. I picked up a new truck last night and the truck ran perfect on the 2 HR drive. Got the trailer loaded and went to start the truck and nothing happened. No chime, no lights, no nothing except for the park brake indicator light wa s lit but extremely dim. Basically if acted like the batteries were completely dead. My only thonly but was hook up jumper cables so I had the fella helping me jump me and it started no problem. I drove the 2 hrs home with no issues. Drove to work this morning with no issues or problems. Went to leave work started truck and went to lock up shop when I heard my truck shut off. No wierd sounds just shunt off like when I turn the key off. Started right back up and died again 3 mins later. This time it did just what it did last night. No response from instrument cluster or lights. Let sit for a few minutes and bam fired right off and headed home. Made it home no problem. Now I’m really curious why the heck it did that? My battery’s are in good shape. I cleaned the terminals and cable ends recently also.
  8. I bought mine used and couldn’t be happier. Just have to work thru a few issues now and then.
  9. I’m wondering if the pop pressures have fallen in mine. Only 6k miles on them. They’re a a chance one or so could be popping low.
  10. Well I managed to pull to long steep grades with another 24 valve on a trailer in 6th gear and never pass 1100F!
  11. You’ve got me thinking hard now. I’m willing to run a bigger injector thts not laggy or Smokey. Are RV275s vco? If not I may have a set of 50s built with vco nozzles on my old bodies. I don’t think I want 75s again though. Thank you Mike. I’m definitely going to either rebuild my stock sticks or go with RVs and grab an XZT.
  12. Yup Toyota makes a good motor. You’ve got me thinking hard now. I’m willing to run a bigger injector thts not laggy or Smokey. Are RV275s vco? If not I may have a set of 50s built with vco nozzles on my old bodies. I don’t think I want 75s again though.
  13. Thanks! I’m gonna hook up the Modus and see what I find.
  14. I thought so to but was told apps issues usally throw a code immediatly?
  15. Also as i cruise down the hwy i will feel the pedal sort of go dead its not at all a major deal its very soft and hard to feel. its more of a hesitation than anything. Im thinking its got to be the injectors because i have no codes. @cajflynn Do you think that the more you daily drive and tow with our trucks the longer they last?
  16. Ill start by saying i cant wait to have my 3:54s and smaller tires next year. I have barely touched the front end of my truck since i bought it but lately i have found a lot of worn parts. The latest deal is a clunk from the front when returning the wheel to center after a sharp turn. I also noticed while fixing my frame brace that my sway bar end links were brittle and sloppy. Also noticed that when inside the cab i can pick the steering wheel up and down a 1/2 inch. Im thinking that may be part of the clunk noise? I have a feeling the 2 bolts that hold the column up that i pulled for the heater core job are the culprits but we will find out later.
  17. @Blueox01 Your pics almost make me wish my truck had 500,000 instead of just crossing 135K! Looks beautiful. If you got more pics of the restoration lets see em!
  18. I was quoted 150$ to have them go through my stock injectors.
  19. I’m working my way towards a better life for my front end. 3:54 axles are next. Next set of tires will be 245s or 255s.
  20. Yup first time i ran 3 cyl i flipped a breaker.
