  1. I have heard their oil is pricy. Didn't realize it was that expensive. But I'd say your dad got his use outta his common rail.
  2. Just for curiosity's sake why sheaffers? Cheaper? I have used some of their other products such as grease but not engine oil. Have heard good things though.
  3. Love the color! Always wanted a sport dually that color. Any side profile pic's of that bumper? Looks like you did a very nice job.
  4. @Blueox01 that is a awesome setup. You the one who did the write up over on CF some years ago?
  5. Amsoil. Bought for $14 a qt. shifts way better that the original fluid. Which I am assuming was original w/ 100k on the clock.
  6. Tip cleaner for torch tips would probably fit the bill.
  7. Usually easier to buy a set of injectors and return your stock ones as a core after they are changed out.
  8. There was a old duffer at work who's motto was tighten it to one turn past stripped. Trashed a lot of stuff.
  9. I had a set of aftermarket ones from Geno's years ago on the 99. Overall the boot was higher quality construction and the clamps were actually designed to hold. I don't think it matters what aftermarket ones you go with, you will be much happier.
  10. Sharp! Gotta love those long box's!
  11. lol I bet.
  12. I was just giving you grief. That's a awesome deal. How in the heck did you pull that deal?
  13. I thought you were anti cooper tires? Change of heart? Lol. I ran those AT3's on my 05 that was a 2wd 6spd. Loved them, and it got around great in the snow. Until you put a 25ft. gooseneck and skid steer behind it and tried to get out the driveway. Then cuss while unloading said skid steer to get to the plowed road, reload and finish journey.
  14. I have bought the mopar stuff from genos in the past. Ford friction modifier works better? Doesn't really matter as long as the lsd works as its supposed to at the end of the day. Thanks for the heads up.
  15. I agree 100%, probably cost too much though. I use anti sieze on everything I can, makes life down the road a lot easier. I also wish farm equipment manufacturers learned to use the stuff too.
  16. 10-4. I will report findings when I flush it again. And post pics of fluid from both flushes. It probably has 7,000 miles on it since flush. I wrote mileage down, I double check.
  17. @Ed ke6bnl Where did you get these? Sounds like a sweet idea.
  18. I went through a few on my old truck before having to replace the tensioner. Tried a couple different brands of belt. Should have replaced tensioner sooner.
  19. Wish I had been fortunate enough to own my truck since new like you. I bought it with 98k on it and flushed power steering system shortly after, it was nasty black to say the least. I did put a power steering filter in as per @IBMobile in hopes to catch any remaining floaters in the system. Plan on another flush this fall just to see how it looks and c/o filter.
  20. Huh? Wouldn't want to offend illegals now would we. Always amazes me the different things you see from one end of this country to the other. Thanks for the pic btw @IBMobile
  21. Gotcha. We do have deer crossing signs on the highways. Rural 2 lane the deer are everywhere. Its nothing to see 50+ deer in a lot of the hay fields I farm. Things are getting worse now we have a 1200 acre deer preserve just a half mile up the road from the house.
  22. The state would probably go broke putting up deer crossing signs around here. There are some aluminum ones out there @Mopar1973Man that look sweet, but your right they will completely break the bank.
  23. Had a buckstop bumper on my 99 for years. Probably helped contribute to tierod wear, only ever put one set of ball joints in. I put little over 200k on it, had about 300k on it when I finally sold it. But anyway had a Reese hitch receiver in it and way better tow hooks, both those came in handy. Probably the hitch reciever more so. Hit a bunch of deer with it, kinda nice not to have to worry. But we have a ton of deer here might not apply in your case. If I were to do it again with my 02 I would probably go with the weld yourself Move kit and paint to match the truck. Just my .
  24. My intent wasn't to go over the deep end @Mopar1973Man! Just sharing some of my results and seeing what other members had observed to see if it was in line with mine, or close for that matter. For the record I'm on stock tires, 4:10 gears and factory fill level. On a side note I may look into the heat wrap because the wife doesn't really care for how warm the floorboard gets on her side wile towing!
  25. @KATOOM how heavy is your 5th wheel? I like your fast cooler setup and heat blankets, looks just like some of the stuff covering some of the steam piping at work.
