  1. Found Attwood blower motors. 12v and used mainly in marine applications but also used everywhere else. Cheap fans, powerful, but noisy. You could definitely plum one of these in and move some air. Either pre or post blower motor. Theres enough room in the inlet cavity above the hvac box or (firewall) area to mount this bad boy as a helper fan.
  2. Was this anything close to what you were wanting for measurements? Disclaimer: these are approximate measurements... please dont bring these numbers to a machine shop...
  3. Yea I'm seriously considering making door panels.. just havent come up with and idea yet it how its gonna look. The whole dash almost went in the dumpster lol. I wanted to make a custom dash but for time sake I went this way for now. Someone is giving me a 99 1500 with a bad trans so I'll yank it all out of there and fab my dash there so I can get my truck back... Second video link
  4. Here is 1 of 2 videos for today. https://youtu.be/6rG1Kqf2ZxU

  8. In other words change your coolant every year or every other year...I can get coolant for free so this wont be an issue for me...
  9. Well I tried that from my phone this morning, didnt work. Ill try on the laptop again..
  10. Well I'll get some products today, and make another video. Seems that's the way to go, and everyone seems to like it so far.
  11. Midwest folks, Missouri here. Any active groups or people in my vicinity?
  12. Those pesky grounds.... Always get ya!
  13. Half a quart each fill, or at least one of the 2.6oz jugs you can buy in a pack and just toss one in and go- pretty convenient. Then when there all empty refill with your personal preference. Or this...
  14. The foam or what ever it used to be around the heater core and evap, what would you suggest for that stuff? The new ones dont have any foam on them... Oh one more thing would you suggest heater valves on the engine side to turn off for summer use?
  15. I like it @Celtic Clamper Gonna try lowes and some craft/fabric stores tomorrow or sat! Gonna get my sew on...
  16. Maybe I should get it lol... Been trying to read up on the foam deal, couple of guys had issues with the lowes stuff being to big, and closed cell vs open cell etc, It didnt stick, etc. All kinds of neg comments. I think I could make it work with sizing and all that, cause theres a couple of different options to go with. I am concerned about the sticking issue... maybe just add some extra glue underneath lol... Why cant Amazon just sell a roll of this magical hvac foam?
  17. That part was the only one I saw for the 2nd gen... maybe I missed it?
  18. This little guy right here? 35$
  19. Good deal, thanks for the tips guys!!! Where the case splits, is there a need for any sealant there? Didn't have anything there...
  20. Yea same here, had one but never used it till now. Ive done lots already that I should have recorded but maybe it can be part of the routine so maybe it can help others if I record it. Yea time is a big issue especially with 2 kiddos and LIFE! lol. On the NV5600 is was a 100% rebuild. had all the guts pulled out, swapping syncros, detents flying all over gods creation! HAHA Now if I didnt live in the middle of no man's land and had Internet available, that would make things a little easier!
  21. @Celtic Clamper yea I can get some measurements for ya. Ive never heard of this upgrade... Im still trying to figure out what kind of foam I am goin to use to seal it all up with lol...
  22. This was my plan, I didnt know if there was a better option somewhere. I pulled every stinkin piece of foam off that box last night cause it all was just nasty and falling apart. So I need some skinny pieces and wide pieces etc... lol Ok, so gonna try this out. Made my very first YouTube video, sorry for all my annoying "sniffing" with my cold. Its short and sweet and took forever to upload, I dont have internet options out here so I use my cell service... Maybe I'll get the hang of these videos and make them better and make more of them task focused. So here's the link to my first one check it out... 2nd little video lol This one includes my trans and t case and fast coolers......
  23. Do you need any special pics while I got this thing apart? If it would help or not idk lol.
  24. Got the HVAC case split this evening... what foam is the best for re sealing everything? I mean everything lol. Gonna try and make a video so I can share it will yall cause I have way to many pictures to upload lol.
  25. I think I was a little hasty in that reply and didn't think what I was typing haha Yea - the voltage was what I was trying to get at. Voltage at the plug before entering the motor, IE is there a "resistor" inline before hand lending you 10v? 8v? etc. With ohms, I usually just check it to see what resistance I have if any. Check for possible shorts etc. Always check your wiring (condition, routing, grounds, corrosion, etc) it can help either narrow down your issue or help you navigate possible causes and solutions. Is the blower capable of more voltage with out burning down? It may just be simple as splitting the blower from the motor and adding a gear box in between? With in this same statement if the motor just isn't cutting it then this fabrication would also allow you to install/change out a different D/C motor
