  1. I have always had mixed answers from guys, about 50/50 from sealed to zerk. I have always ran zerk ones (previously) but figure I'll try out the sealed ones next (now) lol. Where I work at (John Deere-yellow) that's all they have is sealed units. As far as brand, I dont really have specifics ive ran but I try and keep the spicers spinning Alot of help ain't I...
  2. Do you have an article write up on the adjustment by chance?
  3. Mine gets noisier when I push clutch pedal in....
  4. @Mopar1973Man I read the thread on this and can agree, but it seems I'm stuck with a ceramic due to my setup mentioned above. I daily drove the comp clutch that was in it, also towed... So I guess anything would be better than its grabby-ness. Yall should have a look at the pics on my other thread that had the clutch pics on what I took out. So this clutch -1 is about the only option I think this clutch -2 is what I currently have.( I think ) Pics are on the other thread.
  5. So aside from the neg ceramics comments from earlier, I will prolly have to get a ceramic clutch then... or just ceramic buttons? For plate load I think the last one I un-educatedly ordered years ago, I got a 3800.....
  6. Well, like I mentioned brand doesnt matter really. I just havent been "schooled" on which facings/buttons to get or plate loads. And I feel stupid not knowing what "rated" clutch I should get for the current mods I have. All I know atm is I need a dual disk and AT LEAST a rating of approx. 600hp. Sorry for my lack of knowledge of this subject, just need to get this nailed down so I can order it today or monday. So if anyone could break it down for me barney style facings, plate load etc that would help me out. Thanks
  7. Anyone got any clutch ideas for me?
  8. Yes, I read the forum mentioned above and I think that wiould be a good bet and a safe one. I have had the trans pulled for awhile now, I know what clutch I had in it. I am just looking for advise on what clutch to go with the mods listed above. Sorry just re read your statement @Dieselfuture Unfortunately you cant tell which one you have with out pulling it then checking online or asking one of the manufactures via PN# if available.
  9. Im not really sold on brand really. I have had one of each in a dual disk. So open to options there. noise doesnt bother me im used to the chatter lol... I am assuming the turbo is a super bee special 64/71/14, I have wrapped a 60psi gauge with it all set to kill. However I havent actually measured it but to the best of my knowledge I thought thats what the guy said... but we all know what assuming does.... I guess it really sucks I dont have correct knowledge of what i have to be asking these questions. But for how the truck acts and drives Im going with that. Im about to order this clutch and I want to be sure I get one that will hold and be reliable...
  10. I'd like to see what others would suggest on what which clutch might be a good choice. I read the thread @Cowboy Doc mentioned and had some good info. I'm just lost on which one would work with my setup mentioned. Sounds like @Mopar1973Man replaces alot of them for guys, maybe he can give me some wisdom.
  11. Use the @ then type the name it will pop up. @Cowboy Doc
  12. Well it just so happens I have access to one Id have to go check and get pics but my father in law gave me a whole 98 1500 4x4 with a bad trans. the bed, fenders etc have alot of cancer I think. Dont wanna get your hopes up but I think its dent free just clear coat peel...
  13. So Im looking for a new clutch I like working with DAP, so I emailed them this: Also need to figure out which clutch I need to get. When I bought the truck I was “told” it had a dragon flow vp44, 6x18’s, .093 lines and tubes, ham cam, springs, and 64/71/14 turbo and all the supporting mods and more. I did verify I have a valair competition dual disk (sintered iron) for pulling, I have taken all the electronics off of it and the only thing I havent verified is if the vp is infact a dragon flow… It does still have a ton of power so it might have it. I don’t plan on racing or pulling with this truck just a occasional driver or weekend truck and pulling a gooseneck with a skidsteer. I would guess the clutch would have to hold at least 600hp idk… and dual disk for towing. What do you think? What do you guys think? He put this on the quote: Valair Dual Disc Performance Replacement Clutch (Ceramic) 650HP NMU70NV45DDSN | 1989-2003 Dodge 5.9L Cummins With NV4500 or Getrag 5SPD SKU: VAL-NMU70NV45DDSN And yes I know it says for a nv4500... I need one for a nv5600... however... I really dont have a good estimate of what I might be close to on power. I dont want to get a new one and slip it cause I have to many ponies...
  14. I have a non- sport bumper with fog lights just sitting in my shop lol. if youd like to come on down to Missouri...
  15. I didnt see just the lug nut covers like yours? I have some 3rd gen 17" wheels that those might look good on.
  16. Mine should still be under warranty I will call fass and ask them if I can get a spring maybe if that's covered... otherwise I plan on doing what's mentioned above.
  17. Yea, my 02 6spd at 70 is 2500 with 285's. I'd say he has 3.55s... but I could be wrong.
  18. Yea when your the one fixing it when breaks, you tend to be gentler... haha.
  19. Yes indeed, might need some monster battery cables! 4/0 gauge... rated @ 600 amps @9 ft ? From one site I found. I'd say 12 ft would be more than enough but 9ft might make it back there.
  20. Haven't forgot about ya, just caught up with kids and life at the moment lol.
  21. Gonna be updating my battery terminals also, still looking for a good set... also thought about relocating the batteries to a box in my flatbed and just have a power block up front, trick is finding a power block big enough for all that juice! Good info on oiling the terminals.
  22. Haha... Well that seems easy enough to do. Thanks guys. I'm guess this would jump the psi up 5 or so? What yalls experience with the increase...
  23. The spring bend you mentioned is what is pictured last?
  24. I have seen it before some where but cant find it anywhere... HA Short and sweet: Where can I get a shim or make one to increase my psi on my fass 200 titanium. Heard of guys shimming with washers, but id like to move from a consistent 14-15 psi to 20 psi for my bigger IP...
