Stanley's Truck Remodel- Dove in Head First!
Yea same here, had one but never used it till now. Ive done lots already that I should have recorded but maybe it can be part of the routine so maybe it can help others if I record it. Yea time is a big issue especially with 2 kiddos and LIFE! lol. On the NV5600 is was a 100% rebuild. had all the guts pulled out, swapping syncros, detents flying all over gods creation! HAHA Now if I didnt live in the middle of no man's land and had Internet available, that would make things a little easier!

Stanley's Truck Remodel- Dove in Head First!
This was my plan, I didnt know if there was a better option somewhere. I pulled every stinkin piece of foam off that box last night cause it all was just nasty and falling apart. So I need some skinny pieces and wide pieces etc... lol Ok, so gonna try this out. Made my very first YouTube video, sorry for all my annoying "sniffing" with my cold. Its short and sweet and took forever to upload, I dont have internet options out here so I use my cell service... Maybe I'll get the hang of these videos and make them better and make more of them task focused. So here's the link to my first one check it out... 2nd little video lol This one includes my trans and t case and fast coolers......

A/C blower conversion
I think I was a little hasty in that reply and didn't think what I was typing haha Yea - the voltage was what I was trying to get at. Voltage at the plug before entering the motor, IE is there a "resistor" inline before hand lending you 10v? 8v? etc. With ohms, I usually just check it to see what resistance I have if any. Check for possible shorts etc. Always check your wiring (condition, routing, grounds, corrosion, etc) it can help either narrow down your issue or help you navigate possible causes and solutions. Is the blower capable of more voltage with out burning down? It may just be simple as splitting the blower from the motor and adding a gear box in between? With in this same statement if the motor just isn't cutting it then this fabrication would also allow you to install/change out a different D/C motor

Preferred U-Joints
This is also a valid point to the convocation. I see this with jd joints and especially pins and bushings in equipment. Obviously their in alot harsher environment but same principle I would think...

Ram air hood scoop for AC! I like it! Maybe make the fins on the blower a tad larger? What's your resistance at the plug before it goes to motor? If any?

Only 16 PSI?
I have a pop tester at work for JD injectors, never rebuilt Cummins injectors... pretty easy? (We dont rebuild injectors @ JD)
-
Only 16 PSI?
That is odd... Just buy new, DAP or CPP Diesel. If you need cores I have a set...

I guess this is kind of my reasoning as well...Well put @AH64ID

New Clutch
Gonna have to prolly do this, among all the other things I need to buy, prolly wont have the cash to do replace what was on the truck... Furthermore, here is the old clutch again. Valair DD sintered iron competition pulling clutch... Old clutch...... Couldnt find the pic of the old throw out bearing, but it was junk... also the fork pivots need replaced lol... so new clutch... HAHA Still trying to find out which clutch to go with, I believe my only options are the 650hp rated DD from either brand....

Only 16 PSI?
286$ for new pump and lines from Geno's, 280$ Blue Top... vs maybe 50$ for rebuild kit on both? Couldnt find good PN#'s.. I rebuild tons of hydraulic pumps and motors, would think this would be cake since how small it is. The steering gear is just simple bearings and seals...So I say, never rebuilt one so I'm assuming... Id love to just buy new, and heard great review on blue top, but since Im about to drop alot of money on a clutch I think saving the cash would be best for my wallet and my wife's happiness! Any first hand experience with rebuilding these 2 items?

Only 16 PSI?
This is interesting, my vacuum, power steering, gear box is next on the chopping block. Prolly get by with just rebuilding them all? Just as good?

You need more ponies in that blower motor, maybe we can come up with a big bore kit...

Preferred U-Joints
I have always had mixed answers from guys, about 50/50 from sealed to zerk. I have always ran zerk ones (previously) but figure I'll try out the sealed ones next (now) lol. Where I work at (John Deere-yellow) that's all they have is sealed units. As far as brand, I dont really have specifics ive ran but I try and keep the spicers spinning Alot of help ain't I...

Do you have an article write up on the adjustment by chance?

New Clutch
@Mopar1973Man I read the thread on this and can agree, but it seems I'm stuck with a ceramic due to my setup mentioned above. I daily drove the comp clutch that was in it, also towed... So I guess anything would be better than its grabby-ness. Yall should have a look at the pics on my other thread that had the clutch pics on what I took out. So this clutch -1 is about the only option I think this clutch -2 is what I currently have.( I think ) Pics are on the other thread.

New Clutch
So aside from the neg ceramics comments from earlier, I will prolly have to get a ceramic clutch then... or just ceramic buttons? For plate load I think the last one I un-educatedly ordered years ago, I got a 3800.....

New Clutch
Well, like I mentioned brand doesnt matter really. I just havent been "schooled" on which facings/buttons to get or plate loads. And I feel stupid not knowing what "rated" clutch I should get for the current mods I have. All I know atm is I need a dual disk and AT LEAST a rating of approx. 600hp. Sorry for my lack of knowledge of this subject, just need to get this nailed down so I can order it today or monday. So if anyone could break it down for me barney style facings, plate load etc that would help me out. Thanks

New Clutch
Anyone got any clutch ideas for me?
-
New Clutch
Yes, I read the forum mentioned above and I think that wiould be a good bet and a safe one. I have had the trans pulled for awhile now, I know what clutch I had in it. I am just looking for advise on what clutch to go with the mods listed above. Sorry just re read your statement @Dieselfuture Unfortunately you cant tell which one you have with out pulling it then checking online or asking one of the manufactures via PN# if available.

New Clutch
Im not really sold on brand really. I have had one of each in a dual disk. So open to options there. noise doesnt bother me im used to the chatter lol... I am assuming the turbo is a super bee special 64/71/14, I have wrapped a 60psi gauge with it all set to kill. However I havent actually measured it but to the best of my knowledge I thought thats what the guy said... but we all know what assuming does.... I guess it really sucks I dont have correct knowledge of what i have to be asking these questions. But for how the truck acts and drives Im going with that. Im about to order this clutch and I want to be sure I get one that will hold and be reliable...

I'd like to see what others would suggest on what which clutch might be a good choice. I read the thread @Cowboy Doc mentioned and had some good info. I'm just lost on which one would work with my setup mentioned. Sounds like @Mopar1973Man replaces alot of them for guys, maybe he can give me some wisdom.
