  1. I called LMC and they assured me their hinges were very good and they were. I talked with the owner who happened to answer the phone. I asked if they were U.S. made and she assured me they were, I would call them and ask them tho and I think you might only need the uppers, but I'm not there to see your truck. That is what my first gen needed was only the uppers at over 400 k miles. BTW, your order is correct and you may not you need the hardware kit. That interior kick panel is piece of cake to remove so the hinges replacement is easy for the most part. IBMobile is good man. He is fair enough that I would bring money and beer. ... he'll deserve it based on what he's done for me
  2. Yes I've noticed too that Dorman has gone downhill and is taking part with China in the movement to replace America. I tried their pins and bushings. I think they lasted a week or two. but the new hinges were like having a new truck and were great.
  3. Some information I got a couple years ago was that there is a fuse inside the ECM that often burns and is just a matter of soldering in a new fuse. The problem is dealing with the gel and getting the case open. The fuse also does not look like a normal style fuse, but like a very small component.
  4. I had the squeal sound once. It was vague enough you couldn't tell where it was coming from and since that truck has to be ready for long distance travel I replaced the idler pulley wheel, the belt and the water pump . It was quiet again. Later when I had more time I spun the used water pump with my hand and you could tell it had a rough spot to the bearing. It only had about 40,000 on it is all.
  5. In a pinch can you just use non synthetic motor oil? Say a 10W30 for example?? (not used engine oil)
  6. You want it so it comes up from zero to full reading at a slow pace. Doesn't have to be too slow just reasonably slow.
  7. I like mine I bought from LMC truck for my first gen. They were perfect. Very good folks to deal with.
  8. I know Dieselfuture it no fun to talk about, but the more gets out the more folks are going to jump over to the diesel side..... and thats in our future.
  9. Maybe they notify wrecking yards to buy the units as soon as they come in. If they make a higher offer than everyone else they get the units. Then sell em to us at a mark up. If they come from a wrecked vehicle they are more likely to be functioning units and don't want to do repairs on your non working unit.
  10. Thanks Dripley Can you imagine if the Dems took over, opened up the Borders, take away your guns, your diesel truck and no more meat because cows have gas!!??
  11. Yeah Dripley, did you have to post her up a second time? Yer poisening the whole thread. I think a lot of the problem stems from not having done any real work.... getting to know what things are all about. They numb brains from not ever working or having a challenge to work thru.
  12. I know what you mean.... just having someone around to hand you tools while under the truck goes a long way even though it small things like that. As long as they don't talk your ears off.... like when Dripley eats too much chicken, Danged Cannibal, he gets high on that stuff.
  13. Like Dripley says.....'be slow and deliberate' . It good to think ahead by watching the road where a potential wreck might have occured up around a particular bend etc. This kind of attitude has saved my wife and me a few times in our winter travels.
  14. Well.... we all know it wasn't Dieselfuture
  15. Last time I was there two guys acting like they were known members came in and worked on a truck just long enough to steal some expensive tools. That had never ever happened in the past even with hundreds of people there. I was trying to help another guy in the shop when it happened. We were the only other guys in there at the time. They picked a time to come in when evening activities were at the height of excitement outside of the shop.
  16. I'm glad Mopar Man not close.... you'll have all the bolts to complete the job.
  17. Ive been to a couple NW Bomber meets. They were fun, but my mother got old so I'm making two trips a year to go see her instead. She's a lot better looking too
  18. Is there a way to get around not having one? Some kind of a fooler on the sensor? You can hit me if it's a dumb question
  19. I think you have a high level of AC ripple in the system plus a bad or marginal cam sensor.
  20. need to make punishment extremely severe for violent criminals. Need border security. Need a Gov't that we can trust and treats good citizens fair. No one trust our Gov't... they just make discord and gridlocks so they don't have to do anything except take money. They theives and retire great while the rest of us struggle to save enough.
  21. Almost 14,000 bucks for building permits on a 1500 sq. ft. house with no garage. Now I figure they have about 11 hrs in total for the inspections and permit processing time/ paper work. Is that anywhere near an honorable honest government?
  22. I'm glad you found it and that Mopar Man was able to help with this.
  23. MAGA= make America Green again Them smog dogs wanna outlaw all combustion engines by 2025. Man I can't think of a better way to make most not walk but run over to the Trump side. Next thing is they pushing no cows allowed in America because of gas. Next thing will be an EGR in your hind end God has his way of teaching the faithless a good lesson..... in the long run the good people will prevail..
  24. This usually means he's under a sun tanning lamp on his fourth beer. It's heading your way now I hope. Its about to slam into IBMobile's part of the country real soon
