New truck!!
There is a way to make your own terminals that are much stronger. You can make them out of copper tubing yourself if you have a bench vise.

New truck!!
That's the pump I'm going with next after my Air Dog goes bad. I'll get it without the filters since I have a Racor pre filter. Looks like there are very few problems with Fass and that's good

New truck!!
I have a swing away protection plate using 1/4'' aluminum plate under my large Racor filter. When I need access I loosen one bolt and the plate pivot/ swings out of the way. Basicaly it is an extension of the skid plate already under there but, lapped the correct way to not snag anything.

Yeah they're all lazy from smokin' that new funny tobacco- Starter not engaging flywheel
Yeah the starter solenoid is not sliding the starter pinion gear into the flywheel. When you pull the starter you can take apart the solenoid, real simple inside, and kinda determine what might have happened to it. I've had okay luck with rebuilt starters lasting about 3-5 yrs. I'm on my 4th free replacement starter on my 1st gen. 2nd gen oem is still good.- Factory Battery Hold Down Mods/Repairs
Yes the guy that does it reasonable is just up the road. Ship them to me and I'll get it done for you What happens when the highway safety commission come up your driveway and inspects under the hood?- New truck!!

You and me both. They come up sometimes around here for ten grand on Craigs List.- removing fuel sending unit
Go to West Marine online catalogue under engine parts, fuel tank accessories you will find a simple tank vent without a flapper built in. The flapper or one way valve that Dodge designs, is what gets clogged with dirt or simply fails over time. Especially located down low just above the tank, it's probably getting dust and moisture sucked in most times your driving. Locating the new vent up higher just inside the fuel door is better. This why I recommend you just go find a fuel cap that has a tank vent built into it. Much simpler and has the one way safety valving Dodge uses a one way valve in case of a roll over, fuel won't be leaking and feeding a possible fire. This is why Dodge calls their vent an Anti-Rollover Valve. Anything concerned with highway safety is a good, so if you do your own tank vent you could be violating highway safety laws. I did mine when only concerned about keeping the VP happy. I'm recommending you don't do it. Just go find a fuel cap that has it's own vent........ it will have an antiroll valve built in. It's worked out fine, but you don't need to go to the extreme I did, just do the Vulcan draw straw and go buy a vented fuel cap. That would be the best. I am looking at possibly changing to a fuel sump with a protection plate. I think this is much better.- New truck!!
Yes Mike, but it's nice to stay home, work on his truck and not have to go work another day.- Tools rusting
I used to have a problem with rust in my old shop. It was just an exposed sheet metal roof. This still new to me place, I made a point to sheet the roof with plywood and then the metal roof. It made a nice difference and none of my shops ever get any heat.- Morning Pic For Today...........Post A Pic around your place.....
Hey! You got the Alcoas on there- Hydroboost/power steering

Nice! I love it when the sunrise colors clouds like that. Still waiting for sunrise here in Oregon. Its still dark out there- Hydroboost/power steering
That's weird... like the wheels are straining to turn but shuddering when they do? I don't know a lot. I've just been lucky on most of my fixes. But you say the brakes make the same noise at a sit still? All I can suggest is a few things like a clogged inlet screen on the Power steering pump or if the rebuilt pump was not done properly. Is it possible all the dirt did not find it's way out when flushed? Usually you remove one line and flush out that way. But the line you remove is on the non pressure side and have to keep filling and turning the wheels hard left and right while flushing. Jacking the front wheels off the ground is good. I once had a problem with mixing synthetic fluid with regular that was leaking with the truck standing still for weeks in the hot sun. Another time it shuddered and squealed in very cold weather, that's when I started putting in the synth. It stopped the squeal and shudder but then had the leak. I'm now back to all regular PS fluid and properly flushed.- Hydroboost/power steering
Branden, flush out all the old fluid for starters, check your ball joints tie rods and wheel bearings. I know you can fix this I've had a lot more baffling problems in the past. I always found it by keep on trying. Once had a problem so baffling that paying for 3 different diagnostics did not solve it. Everyone thought they had it nailed and threw parts at it. I didn't mind because everything was old and overdue anyhow. I was conducting my own auto mechanics final exam on 3 different shops.- Would You Invest in My Truck or A Newer Truck
The 92 12 valve I have is a DD, contractors work truck. It's one sweet truck the way it has taken care of me. It paid off the 02 for me and. I'm only7 months away from having driven her for a solid 20 years. It seem the older it gets the more I love that old girl just had to do the trans finally but engine never been touched. Runs great. Just remember, it's always cheaper to get it fixed than to go buy another new truck.- Would You Invest in My Truck or A Newer Truck
Do like me... I have two old CTD's when one gets broke I drive the other one. The one with over 400 k on it has taught me there are only so many places a nickel and dime can be spent. When that's done she's ready for another 400 k. Meanwhile the other sits there like a 'driveway Queen' just waiting for her turn to go out. It doesn't get used much being an 02 with 84k on it. Every time I drive It, it is like having a new truck all over again. I still love the 92 just as much.- Morning Pic For Today...........Post A Pic around your place.....

It really helps a lot in the summertime when it's hot. I used to get shade from the trees but I had to cut them when I realized they were too close to the house. Too much of a fire hazard and too much mess.- Morning Pic For Today...........Post A Pic around your place.....
