Auto Tranny Replacement lines, fitting sizes?
Just to make sure any new hoses and fittings will withstand the psi, What pressure levels are we talking about? Also... would it be possible to place a inline canister type filter on the lines and get rid of the factory filter? Probably not much benefit since you should drop the pan anyway to adjust the bands Thanks, Mike

aprehension... taking down a beautiful shade tree
I would like to see that size. Maybe you have time- less busy in winter to show me and I could show how I approached the problems associated with doing the tank access door.

If I sold them to the mill I would need a winch to get the bucked lengths of to the road and then a flatbed to haul them to the mill. They would have to be shorter lengths than they like for hauling them which would also making the price drop. For a tree like this I know I would get about 5- 600 dollars about ten years ago. I don't know about todays market. Joe, is there a place I could go and see the 14' diameter trees? That would be something to see. I have one bigger one down in the bottom of the canyon at about 6 feet. It grows right out of the creek. 4 other big ones that are very tall and straight with about a 4-5 foot base on the other side.

I figure the first 16 feet of this cedar, since it has little to no knots, will split up into some rails pretty well. Yes some new way to sweat but can use the workout. Be good for me if I don't push it too much. I think it's true that lots of these trees have a limit to how long they can go before they start getting a disease or something wrong with them

I won't. Just the flat ones. I'm sure I cannot expect a perfect straight split, but, that you keep splitting the way the wood grain wants to go and whatever curve or shape the rail comes out that's part of the character of split rails. As long as it looks sort of cowboy style I'll be happy

aprehension... taking down a beautiful shade tree
Going to do a split rail fence with it are my plans. I have about 5 or six different wedges, has anyone done split rails out of logs before? Do you start by splitting the log in half and then work down to the 6-8 inch rails?

aprehension... taking down a beautiful shade tree
We had a large three foot diameter cedar about 15 feet from the house than used to shade our deck and high sunny windows. I was hesitant to take it down not only because of it's size but it afforded lots of shade to our back deck in summertime. But with three separate trunks starting about 30 feet up, each about 12 inches in diameter made it very top heavy. Plus one trunk was showing a 24'' crack/split like it would take out the deck and part of the house on that side. I decided to have it dropped. There are two other cedars growing close to this one so hopefully they will now branch out for getting all the shade back someday. Now after this monster was dropped you could now see the other side of the split that was hidden by the 2 other trees while standing. Wow.... that split was growing with each wind storm as you could now see fresh wood and fresh splitting that was occurring. This split is about 4-5 feet long on that side, ready to let loose and damage the house and deck. I prayed for the logger dropping it while cutting as I was afraid that trunk would get tangled in the two other trees and come down on him. I was relieved when all went well and was surprised to find two other breaks after cutting off the branches, one an older somewhat healed break. and another would have happened perhaps during the next westerly. Apprehension all gone, replaced by complete happiness, I was very relieved. Now to see if wifey wants a cedar Christmas tree from the tops, three to choose from.

Tired of Bad Service at Parts Stores!
Next time they keep on answering the phone, call from your cell phone while your waiting in the line. As for the needed part sold out from under you.... I would tell the manager that you want a discount large enough to make up for the double trips you have to make to go for it again. Maybe even a gift card otherwise I think I'd go somewhere else. At least they didn't lie to you

AEM Dry Flow BHAF Thoughts? pros. cons.
You should keep an eye out for dust with the factory box. Pull the intake tube and check for dust inside because the factory box gets kind of distorted with time/ heat and doesn't squeeze against the rubber gasket so well. There is a way to shave the the box with a block plane so it squeezes tighter to the factory filter and not let air go around the rubber edges, but, you have to make up metal clips that you sandwich over the box hook tabs. This makes the tabs thicker so it makes the top half pull tighter to the filter. I did this mod because the intake tube had fine dust. I just cut little rectangles out of Stainless sheet metal and folded them over each tab to make the tab thicker. Next is to bend the box holder clips so they hold tighter as well. This all works well if you shave the box lip which acts like sort of a stop and won't seal well to the filter. I forgot if you shave the top or the bottom half, so look at it closely before shaving off a 16th of an inch

Cracked dash
You could leave some flaps loose so it sounds more like a real truck when the window is down....... Seriously though...... I'm thinking about doing this so it looks good. Cowhide is strong full thick leather but buy it tanned a nice color. Them guys with the King Ranch trucks be lookin' like this at my truck.

Cracked dash
Probably have to reinforce it like dieselfuture did to his.

Tow package wire harness.
I think any trailer supply would have what you need. I did make my own rv umbilical cord that plugs into the truck out of heavy gauge construction cord and rv ends. I just ran it inside some soft rubber automotive heater hose for the outside sheathing and protection of the wires..

MY time has come!
If they lied why stay there? I wouldn't ! Go to Source automotive in Clackamas, Oregon, cause I think your ball joints are probably done too. They are a bit more money but, boy, talk about good honest work with no BS aimed at you with the BS gun..... They know all the tricks and aftermarket upgrades. Used all the good stuff on mine. You can stay here at my little ranch in your rv if you wish...... 20 minutes away. Will help drop off your truck and go pick up for you when done Mike.

Cracked dash
Wow...... Amoralled Hide. Think of the look...... could be beautiful.

Cracked dash
I was thinking about laminating over the top of mine with cow hide. Letting the old ranch brands show. I will cut pieces or buy remnants and use rubber cement to overlay and overlap the pieces. I wonder.... with enough laminated leather it should hold up fine. A tru cowboy dash

Gotta A Noise Happening
You can change just the bearing and pulley. I takes a star type. If you change out the whole unit it costs quit a bit more. In about 400 k miles I've changed just the wheel and bearing twice now. It's good to put a drop of oil on it each year... doesn't hurt.

Gotta A Noise Happening
Dork, this has happened to me many times on my 1st gen. Usually it is just the pulley running dry and or bearings going bad. For a test I usually put a small shot of oil in the tensioner pulley bearings, start the engine and it quits. Hope this helps out.

Strange hiking experience in the Sierras
It was very cold that early morning, about 29-32 degrees F. compared to the mid afternoon, while hiking, of around 70 degrees. I thought how strange that sudden smell with no sound and nothing anywhere in sight. It was like natures warning since the smell was so strong. Cougars are perhaps like cats so they have very little scent but, still it hit me like an alarm so I turned around. It was unmistakably something wild. Before the smell it was like entering a strange untouched protected area with surpassing natural beauty. It enticed one to go further but also had a foreboding feel, like a place only belonging to the wild. Well protected from winter cold and winds because of the location of surrounding rock and close proximity to steep high mountains gave you a stronger sense that it was separate and one of the few places left untouched and never revealed to the rest of the world. It Felt as if I was about to deeply infringe on an area I should not venture into. Continuing just a few more steps brought on the strong smell all around and then turned away.

Strange hiking experience in the Sierras
Do you have a link to this story? Don't feel bad Anthony, once my wife an I came within 10 feet of a male Grizz in Canada. It was heart stopping because neither one of us saw the other till we were so close we startled each other. Bear stomped and you could hear him breathing heavily mixed with a growl. Heart pounding experience. look like monsters up close. We felt lucky that he ran away not us. Except he stopped, stood up on his hind legs showing his full size while he turned around to look at us. I thought we were in for it but he left us alone.

I've heard that due to conditions back in the 1800's more people died due to lack of dental hygene than anything else.

Excuse me deej but I don't go around trying to hug the bears out in the woods. I don't think they'd take to that too well . Liked your post showing the poop size. Nice gun too. IBMobile, sending you a pm.
