  1. Thank you John, They went away for 3 weeks and came home and discovered a lady was living in there and would not leave till the sheriff drove up when she ran out into the woods leaving most of her belongings. They could not find her nor could they find any identification left behind. They think she had an escape plan. It happened on Upper Highland Road in Beavercreek. I tried to log into Neighborhood talk to get more details but, do not understand why I can't log in. What I'm thinking is never leave guns nor valuables behind. Always have a way to let yourself in even after they change the locks. Have a written lease in your travel case where you can enter valid dates. This way you can be a legal rent/squatter to get the others out. Not sure if that will work.
  2. Oregon wants you to get the attorney and go thru at least a month long process doing a legal eviction. That's BS because it only gives the squatter a license to steal everything and sell it at a pawn shop. Even if you come home to find most of your things already sold you know your going to have to pay for hotel rooms and when they finally open your safe getting tittles to your vehicles, your guns, whatever else is in there. You see it's just a stupid law because your home is your castle. I am just wondering what thoughts and ideas you have about this and what to do if they change the locks and draw up a phony rental agreement? This recently happened to a home near us out in our rural area only just a couple miles away.. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated as I am going to set up an effective solution to this problem with your help. Thank you.
  3. I hope to do more travel camping with everyone, perhaps more in my state, as it is getting expensive running to IBMobile's camp in east central Cali. even tho very beautiful. Tractorman and everyone else I've met is a very good camping Buddy. @Doubletrouble,everyone we've ever met while camping has been just plain good people. Amazing 5th wheel you got too, Congrats! @IBMobile, no need to be jealously fired up, just look at my 10 ft. 2 inch camper and you'll be just fine.
  4. Steel roofs are fun to put on if not steep and not cut up. They last much longer
  5. We are so spoiled these days, in the old days you were lucky if you got a heater. @Mopar1973Man packs the other kind, the kind that makes you cold!
  6. That used to be called a 'stripper' in my time. As long as it's a truck that's all right... I will allow that on the forum.
  7. You actually need to do that Mike. Bringing a shop and equipment to a professional level makes everything go so much better. In the long run you will be financially ahead. I would amortize it over 15 years because what you can write off each year, the building costs and equipment depreciation will offset the payments that way. In the end you have a much higher social security income too. That comes each month without working and is the best investment you can make.
  8. I forgot to say that I had a good time visiting MoparMan for a couple days. It was good to see the Mopar Mansion again. It was fun traveling and camping with Tractorman, staying in my camper at his RV spot on acreage. Really pretty place at the base of the mountains and away from all the Heelots.
  9. Beautiful job and I like the vented ridge at the top. What type of siding is going on the outside?
  10. Then it won't matter by then since I would forget that I got at least 4 cougars on my trail cam 2 weeks ago, go for a walk and get eaten just walkin' in my woods.
  11. Do you place a post it note on the steering wheel so you won't forget the next morning and accidentally start the engine? I use some paper towels in the shop so I always place the roll in front of the instrument cluster display to remind me since a whole roll fits right in there above the steering wheel. Do you have to go to Cummins for new oil coolers?
  12. Those that run Tik Tok are of the same species that run Home Owners Associations
  13. Back to the subject of 'Blinker Fluid.'.. @IBMobileuses that stuff to see the parts he's after at the wrecking yard.
  14. John says, ''No worries'', yeah right! He worries about everyone else's truck too even when camping, I had to ask him to stop working on mine at 2:30 am so I could get some sleep.
  15. Yes, I noticed that. He's pretty key person around here. Mike, I hope you are having such a good time that you feel good and may even feel a little like working again. It is all good.
  16. Nice work. Nothing better than springtime and putting up a new building for yourself. It makes for a good time
  17. I once had a rice rocket nearly under my flatbed tailgating me, I was a bit slow since I was loaded up with stuff while merging onto the interstate. He passes me in the single lane merge lane and does about 80 down the freeway in a 55 zone, only there was a cop behind a semi tractor trailer, kind of to the side and hidden. He flew by to get that rice rocket, pulled him over and I wave with the biggest Alfred E. Newman smile (all front teeth showing) as I go by. That was another nice day. BTW, what do you guys think might be the reasons the forum is so slow in participation lately and what should we do to help it along? We can say anything you like since Mikes in Hawaii with hula girls on his mind. LOL
  18. had a young gal tailgating me pretty hard yesterday. When two lanes came up she goes around speeding up to the stoplight while cussing at me. I could see her lips going like a machine gun, you know how these millenials talk so damn fast. Anyhow I guess it was cause I left extra room in front as we went down the road. It was so I did not have to stop so hard while she was on my ash. I then said to myself... '' when does God exact vengeance to teach good lessons?'' Next I look over to the right turn lane and see her and the car in front pulled over to the bike lane. She rear ended that car and the person in front wasn't too happy. Yipie Kiay what a nice day!
  19. I was out of town for 2 weeks. Saw all the snow in the California Mtns It was huge banks of deep snow. It was good to see just like when I was a kid. I have been taking on some other interests as well and life alone is becoming a full time job just to take care of myself and our home. At 71 you have to rest more and do it a bit slower.
  20. My 2 inch level kit went into the recycle bin. Was glad to dump that and get back to better steering.
  21. I never had a more money saving reliable truck ever in my life until my 1st get D250, drove that for 23 years. Now I have two second gen Cummins. One is an 02 I've had since 06 and won't sell it. The other, an 01 I have put 65,000 miles on in 5 years is great too. Do they cost? Yes they do need attention and parts once in awhile but are far better than anything I have ever had before and being old guy now, I can say that with confidence. First thing tho... is always buy used that is in original condition never molested. That's the first rule in buying a good rig. Also never buy what a seller tells you just look for yourself and walk away if you have to. Also if they continually try to distract you from looking too close, tell them you need some quiet time with her before you make a choice. You will see much more by yourself alone.
  22. My flatbed doesn't have the anti spill either. I have to fill so slow that I cannot use any of the nozzle fill notches that holds the nozzle in the on position or they fill too fast and then shut off after spewing out fuel everytime. I use my utility knife to hold the handle in the on position and fill so slowly I can hear the fill pump squeaking while filling my truck. LOL, I think I get more fuel than I'm paying for that way. Takes about twice as long. I have to turn on the key and watch till the gauge says its near full and then get out and listen for it to come up to full on the fill neck. I shut it off before spewing out.
  23. I had to sit outside and have coffee as I haven't seen much sun all winter. It was very nice for a minute or two till another dark cloud came over.
  24. Thank you LorenS, I stand corrected, the second barbed fitting is for the Fass for the pressure regulator to dump excess fuel pressure. I completely forgot about that and is a far better pressure regulator than on my Raptor 150's. I 'hope you didn't follow my advice on the brass plug... unless you tee the excess pressure line into the filler neck vent hose as someone said previously would solve your problem. Thank you again Loren.
  25. Thank you Tractorman I like your input. Especially when you attempt to summon @Mopar1973Man.
