Happy Thanksgiving
Thanks everyone, hope you all had a terrific 'T Day' as I did. Had the 3 daughters and 3 son in laws over yesterday. They all helped with everything including leaving 3 bottles of wine and 3 bottles of Martinelli's. Everything comes in Three's around here, LOL

Not starting straight away every time
Very wise indeed Wil440, one of my young wild days cars was a tired out old MG Midget. Pulled that little 4 cylinder and hauled up to my uncle's rebuild shop in the back of my 64 Malibu. When I got it all back together, I do not know what he did, none of the stock bug eyes nor midgets around town could keep up. Those were the days back then

Just think of all the help you would get around there if you were to buy her a full race Ford GT. Lots of boyfriends= lots of help. I think they're only a million or so.

Should be titled 'Hip Joints and ball joints' . Did someone mention Santa's bells? Sheesh, when it rains it floods... what a story over there in England. I think your truck just had to dry out from driving the flood. We need those pics Wil, when you get a chance and your better.

NV450 5speed blew at 184k miles.
It's strange how the large gear has every other tooth damaged all the way around. Never knew a pattern could show like that. My teeth are like that from old college girlfriends!

I hope you do find a good guy to rebuild it. They're sometimes hard to find. One thing... you got to stop towing cruise ships LOL!

I hope you'll be okay. It seems so many young people are up and coming in the world keep buying everything they need so any recession should be mild. Plus everyone seems better prepared this time around. We actually need a recession. It would kind of straighten things out a bit!

AM General M50 6x6
Thank you for the Pictures Wil. That's pretty cool old truck, enjoyed looking. I hope you get it to what you want. When you find a gal that likes riding in it you'd better hang on to her that's for sure as it's a right or wrong girlfriend tester wagon!

I am Bad...
I finally noted my fuel pressure on my 2001 work truck last week. I was surprised to see it bouncing around 10 psi. Also I was surprised that I have been too busy to notice for quite awhile. Looking in my maintanence schedule I see that both fuel filters have not been changed for 76,000 miles ! How did that happen I asked. As I drove home and fuel temps rose the pressure climbed to 15 still short of the 19 it was set for. It has to be making the lift pump work harder. Today both filters will be changed. Normally everything is watched closely on both trucks, kept on schedule but, I missed this one. Kinda shows a limit how long two filters working together can also help each other. I do not recommend running that far even with two filters. Our Gov't is like drilling a hole into our fuel tanks and telling us mileage will increase. They have no clue and are ruining America and financially weakening its poeple

She's dead. And I'm done with it.
@Tractorman who did you buy your VP44 from, since it's such a good one? Also what filters are you using? Thank you in advance.

I say stay away from Blue Chip they have had problems and reading others concerns/ posts about them I have never heard where they are rebuilt, i.e. from a Bosch certified rebuilder. They are expensive and if you read the reviews and forum talk about them they aren't worth the price. Buy one from Diesel Auto Power, they are good guys and have helped many people that had problems in the past also with a very prompt customer service. I bought newly rebuilt VP44's for both my trucks because the PO did not have good filtration, did not put any two stroke oil in the fuel during break in and may have bought a fake rebuilt unit. No way of knowing but, I bought both mine from Pacific Fuel Injection simply cause they are close to me and are Bosch certified. Both VP's have been flawless. You need to move the draw straw so your not sucking hot fuel back into the VP. Or you move the fuel return to dump down the fill neck as I have done. Eliminate the in tank screens that clog and put on a good pre filter system. I use water seperating pre filters so that any water droplets cannot get emulsified into the fuel by the lift pump, which makes it impossible for the water/fuel separation process by the secondary factory filter. Don't even think about installing a new rebuilt VP until you have a good W/F separator before the lift pump. This is important!

She's dead. And I'm done with it.
A certified rebuilder has to have a 250,000 dollar test stand and run the rebuilt units for, I believe 3 hours, and only the ones functioning perfectly are sold to the public.

Do you know for a fact that these failed VP44's you bought came from a Bosch certified rebuilder? I'm thinking that's your problem as many rebuilders do not follow bosch requirements. One is The clean room and hepa filter system cost millions to build a proper building and set it up. Another is to always replace the computer board on top. Many of us are not having problems at all with a certified rebuilt VP.

Trans problems
Wow! Best of all kinds of thoughts on that Wil. I think your on the right track going with this. Had no idea things are changing that fast for climate over there. In the states many drivers make their own speed limit these days with no state troopers to be seen anywhere. I sure wish I had one of those trucks to make everyone slow down over here. LOL! On edit: One day they'll be out of electricity and you'll be the only one rolling in town

Trans problems
You have to post a pic when you get it done. That is a cool truck and I think it will be a great tool for your business. The mileage and tires are going to cost but, with an off loading camper that's going to save you a lot.

America Today
A lot, if not, most of my clients are quietly ignoring the wrongful policies of our Gov't. I regard them very highly for their courage, quietly doing the right thing. 3 of them, as I recall are in authority and cannot help having a high regard for these people and the teams they work with. Gives me some hope for our future but, I am afraid it's not going to be enough. I think many crimes are committed by the Bidens and others in high places but, with a President that knows nothing of what's happening, many things can go unnoticed. They have someone in authority who cannot be blamed for his senility, which may give others the freedom to present their own policies, which cannot be understood, as we discussed above, they are twisted and are 'far off'. It also lets illegal activity go unpunished. At the same time making Trump out to be a criminal. That poor guy has been hammered with legal fees and obligations.. Who is really in control my friends? There may be some very strange policies, twisted far from American values behind those press conference curtains. They may be doing this on purpose attempting to Bankrupt and destroy Americans in the process I think there are some very evil people in our world today who hate Americans.

Bent Rear Sway Bar
That's amazing John where it failed. Right where it was bent / folded. I know I can count on you always getting good the stuff.

Bent Rear Sway Bar
I have the camper package on my 02. When running with the top heavy camper you can feel the sway bar kick in. It feels like it's going to sway on turns and then it stops at a certain moment. It,s fairly effective and can feel it's effect even before I put airbags on.

America Today
Yep I am afraid it's only going to get worse. If it gets better it will be because a good president comes into office. One that holds good principals and values and does not lie and ruin the banking system and devalue the dollar. The enormous spending is what the crux of the problem is, together with the lies and criminal activity destroys what America used to stand for. W-T is supposed to interject something usually at this point but, has to deal with rebuilding his shop after the Paradise fire. He says it's tough to find good contractors plus his shop is an expensive shop to replace. He's a good man to come up with those wire harness mods that are so effective.
