Death wobble issue rears it ugly head again
More of an osilation side to side I think. I found a video on YouTube. Hope the link works.

Death wobble issue rears it ugly head again
@Tractorman, I should have mentioned that the tires and wheels are all of stock size and design. Wheels are OEM steel wheels. No lift kits of any kind. Truck sits at stock ride height. @Mopar1973Man, I will check the shocks as you mentioned. Wheel balancing will have to be done by a shop or add balance beads as a diy thing. Another question. Is there a good way to check the bushings in the control arms? I know they don't really move alot but at this point I just want to know everything is good.

Death wobble issue rears it ugly head again
Ok, I've had a this issue before but very random and not very often at all. Yesterday I was on the highway at 60-70 mph and hit a bridge transition and it went nuts! Again less than a mile or two later. With traffic behind me I had to smash the brakes down to 25mph to get it to stop. Luckily no one rear ended me! I absolutely have to get this sorted out! I replaced the track bar approximately a year to year and a half ago. It was a lower priced one from Rock Auto. I have replaced the left outer tie rod as well. I have read that the track bar is usually to blame but I want to be 100% sure it is fixed for good this time. Any advise or guidance here would be appreciated. Also, just to bring this into the conversation, would it be advisable to upgrade to the heavy duty mopar steering kit? Maybe the 3rd gen track bar? I don't know. I just need this to stop once and for all.

Shock! Unknown order coming?
I'm leaning towards hi flow muffler bearings.

All I know is I have the knowledge to keep food on the table, heat when it's cold and can provide services to make money or in trade for food or supplies. The people will relearn very quickly what the barter system was. The ones that try to steal their way through will learn a very tough lesson as well.

Final Ratios
To add to that @jlwelding, a lot more stress in brake parts slowing the increased rotating mass of the larger tires and or wheels.

Spring is fast approaching!
I'm just looking forward to warm weather. Ours here is so up and down there is no time to acclimate to the climate as it changes every other day. We have gone through 4 seasons of weather in less than 48 hours.

Shock! Unknown order coming?
I bet it's a new Flux capacitor! If you hit 88 mph and 30psi of boost you time travel!

Spring is fast approaching!
Well, so much for spring like weather. We got a couple inches of snow overnight and it's still snowing. Luckily the roads are just wet but they did spray them with the pretreatment. So no riding at least til it warms up and we get some more rain to wash the corrosive junk off the pavement.

Good info if you thinking about larger tires. There is a lot to consider if you want the truck to pull the same as it did on stock size and just behave the same while not towing. Keeps your EGT's down and keep the engine in the power band without stressing the drive train to the point of failures.

Nice, that should look pretty sweet when done. Looking forward to seeing it.

I locked this topic for the time being. This is getting a bit out of hand compared to our usual conversations.

Boise Trip
Glad ya'll made UT back ok. We haven't had snow like that here. Hoping at this point we don't get anymore this year. I'd like to have better tires before more snow comes.

So what's the plan? Are you dechroming everything? Triple tree, lowers, crash bars, all of it?

Spring is fast approaching!
Yes @Max Tune you should! Your gonna miss out! Just did rear wheel bearings on my sons street glide yesterday. He bought the 2 wheel bearings but did not get the one that goes in the belt pulley so now he is on the hunt. Lol My rear pulley bolts directly to the rear wheel hub so I didn't know there was one there. 🙃

We have had some intermittent warm weather here including some heavy rainfall to wash the salt from the roadways. I have seen several bikes out here and there already. I refuse to get mine out to early just for the sake of preserving it the best I can from salt, wet roads with mud and yuck on them and so on. I am however beginning to get the bug. It's time to pull the battery and charge it fully and give it a run on the load tester, check everything over good and fire her up. List of things to do so far: 1. charge and test the battery 2. check oil levels 3. check tire pressures 4. adjust clutch in the primary ( Harley Davidson ) 5. adjust clutch cable 6. check brake pad thickness 7. change spark plugs 8. check primary drive belt tension I may have missed a thing or two but that's it in a nutshell. The oils were all changed last year with only about 800 miles on the oil. Tires/tubes and all wheel bearings were changed last year with about the same milage on those as well. Of course the bike will need to be washed, waxed and polished to look it's best. I am also considering buying another tuner from dobeck, what they call an EJK tuner which is short for Electronic Jet Kit. It's a simple tuner to enrich the factory tune which is setup very lean to pass emissions tests. It does offer some flexibility on the users part. You can adjust the mixture at idle, part throttle and WOT as well with an easy control pad. I had one on the bike before and by my own mistake I fried it by putting 12 volts to the ground wire of the tuner. The bike ran sooo much better with it on so I think it's time to buy another. I anyone else beginning to get their ride road ready? If so, what have you done or going to do to be ready to hit the road on 2 wheels?

@Nomad2015, I don't believe anyone meant to be harsh. There is usually several steps involved in diagnosis which leads to questions asked by those of us that are not there in person to diagnose a problem. without the answers we will not know how to proceed. I'm sure you to are also frustrated with your truck during this process, I've been there myself. Not condemning anyone, just want to clear the air and real things in a bit.

@W-T, Could you maybe take several pictures of that truck and post them? It's so unbelievably clean! I want to see more.

Alternator and PCM protection
Great article, could be a real money saver! a little bit of time and a fuse holder is all that is needed to avoid tracking down a new pcm or waiting for one to be rebuilt.

BHAF installed
That's exactly what I was going to do. I didn't ha e any fuel line or vacuum hose in the garage, or at least I couldn't find it I will do one or the other soon. On a side note, I love being able to hear the turbo spool now.
