Thor - New project truck
I've never done a compression test on a diesel. Might be worth it to do a separate small write up in the procedure for informational purposes.

Thor - New project truck
Sounds like a compression test would be in order for sure.

- We're going seasonal!
It's been a while, we've been working around the campsite to get things cleaned up and situated the way we want them. Loving it so far! Lots of great people out at the camp ground. Thought I'd drop a pic or two of how things have come together. We also bought another golf cart to cruise around on. We still have our 1969 Harley Davidson cart as well. We use them both. Problem was the Harley cart just didn't do well hauling more than 2 people. The newer electric cart has heavy duty rear springs and seats in the rear. It handles passengers much better. The "new" 2019 ez-go cart This is our "old" cart, the '69 Harley- Computer Repairs and Linux Operating Systems
I may take the laptop and thumb drives with me this week. We're gonna be at the camper for the week or so. They're forecasting rain a couple days so it'll give me a chance for the test drive you mentioned.- Computer Repairs and Linux Operating Systems
@Max Tune, you have the same level of frustration I do when it comes to that. Lol I've been talking to @Mopar1973Man for a while about doing the conversion, I have the program here just have yet to install it. I'd rather do all that while on the phone with him to avoid any issues. Ill get with him soon and get it done so i can post my thoughts on it. Im limited in tech savy so itll be a real world reveiw if you will.- Rear seat under storage.
I would consider mine a stripper, no power anything, rubber mat, no carpet. Manual windows, locks. Pleather seats with no power function. She's a basic truck with all standard equipment only. No tray under the seat either. Makes plenty of room for my 12" sub.- Spring is fast approaching!
Finally got the bike out on the road! Went for a ride with my daughter, she has a 650 Kawasaki ninja, still new to riding but she has come a long way. Her and I went to dinner for Father's day and rode for about an hour and a half total. It was a great time. Really seems weird though checking my mirrors and seeing my little girl back there on her own bike. Dam, I'm getting old!- TikTiok
Interesting stuff. Amazing what can happen from social media these days. Wow- TikTiok
More hate speach? Lol you must be a hateful person 🤣 😂. Those bans are so unwarranted.- TikTiok
I'll try again tonight but the wifi is weak here at the campground.- Spring is fast approaching!
Yeah, they don't like to sit around to long. I think mine is mad at me now. Still haven't rode. Had planned to Friday and Saturday but I wrenched my back Friday morning and been in pain ever since.- Camp out - New Meadows, Idaho
Nice! Wish you weren't so far away, I would do the same thing.- Diesel Fires
I saw that all over tiktok as well. I was thinking the same thing. It's a bunch of young people doing what they do. To each their own on how they want to build their truck but please, do it correctly to avoid things like fires, failing brakes, wheel bearings, ball joints. All the "common" mods of the young generation put a ton of stress on different thing and they don't realize what it does to their pride and joy.- Spring is fast approaching!
Yes it is! And your welcome. Trike looks awesome! I like the blacked out look on that. Makes it look more sleek and not so "grandpa-ish" if that makes sense. Glad to see it back up and road ready. Congrats- Been Busy
Welcome home! I've been busy as well. Got several things going on at once but managing through.- We're going seasonal!
It's pretty spacious, I like the tall ceilings in a 5th wheel also. At 6'3" I don't want to have to duck everytime I go inside. The wife loves having an island in the kitchen.- We're going seasonal!
I have a few from the listing online. The wife has cleaning supplies all over inside at the moment. She is very ocd about cleanliness.- We're going seasonal!
Finally the day came. We picked up our new to us home away from home. I have to say, it looks good behind my truck. It pulled very nice, I do need to raise my hitch an inch or two for clearance above the bed rails though. I snapped a couple pics once I got her parked in the driveway.- Code reading question for a smog test
I have to ask, how do they do a smog test? At idle? Maybe like a dyno pull? I've never seen one done.- Code reading question for a smog test
I'm lucky enough to live in a state that does not yet smog test.- Engine oil in coolant and coolant in engine oil
Sound like a lot of mods for a tow rig/daily driver. Can I ask what your towing? As far as a rebuild, I agree with @wil440, if the engine was shut down very quickly and not run on foamy oil/coolant latte' it should be ok. If it was run like that long then I would rebuild.- We're going seasonal!
Wow, beautiful veiw! But man is that expensive! The place we're gonna be is actually one of the cheaper ones around here but in my opinion one of the nicest also. - We're going seasonal!
