  1. Hats off to you. I don't think I'd want to split that much by hand. We have a 27 ton splitter and it really saves my back, my uncle's as well. He's in his late 60's so I don't want him to over do it.
  2. I was looking around online and ran across an obvious goof. I found this pair of tail lights for $18.71 +tax for a total of $20.03. couldn't believe it so I snatched them up. I noticed today the price changes to $53.99 on the same site so I think someone screwed up. Lol I got lucky I guess. They are smoke lens though so I may have to get some LED bulbs to brighten them up.
  3. As far as the dairy farmers, I am a small time farmer as well. Not dairy but grain and recently taking on some beef cows also. To help support the dairy farmers I just purchased a fresh gallon of milk and 2 gallons of ice cream. I know it sounds like something you would probably normally buy but I have been eating cereal for breakfast nearly everyday to help them out. Just a small contribution I guess but I'm trying.
  4. This is my square body project. 1980 Chevy 4x4 Sorry Hammer, not trying to hi-jack your thread.
  5. Right, I agree. I believe we can all voice our opinions here and be respected by the other members. I don't agree with all that has been said on this topic but I also take them as a view from a different perspective and use those different perspectives to mold my own opinion as well as what I see in the media or other sources. I have not and won't lash out at someone for their opinions or views on things. We are all adults here.....
  6. We were concerned about the virus being on the pizza boxes. I think the heat may have taken care of it but you can't be to careful right now
  7. Well hell! We just learned that a girl working at the local pizza place has been presumed positive for Corona virus. She has not had an official test due to the shortage of them in the area but according to her via Facebook her doctors told her to presume she has it based in her symptoms. The scary part is this girl delivered a pizza order to us last Monday. She was wearing gloves at the time but it still concerns me. The wife and I will obviously not be ordering delivery from any place in the near future and we informed our family members just to be sure no one stops by to avoid possibly spreading anything further. We are both hoping that we were not exposed or contract this stuff but will take measures for the next 10 days to meet the 14 day isolation requirements. That being said, think before you order delivery of anything at this point.
  8. I meant no disrespect, like I said, I was a Ford guy once. I lost interest in the trucks when they updated the body style (along with most others, I like the squared bodies of yesteryear) and as for the company in general when they stopped producing the traditional Ford engines i.e. 289, 302, 351 and so on. Those we're all great engines but I'm sure the change had alot to do with emissions vs hp output at the time. All manufacturers went though this. I work on my own vehicles as do most of us here and I found the "new" Ford engines complicated so I avoided them, still do. My oldest son is a Ford guy, even has the blue oval tattooed on his arm. He is now driving a Dodge. Lol, it gives me something to tease him about.
  9. I like happy endings! Umm, that may sound bad. Glad you got it sorted out.
  10. But that truck is the 4 letter F word. I hope you enjoy it and that it's a good truck for you and your needs. I used to be a Ford guy but in my eyes Ford stopped building trucks in 1979. I'm not judging by any means, to each their own. I just switched from GM to Dodge myself so I can't really say much as far as switching teams. I mainly wanted the Cummins honestly, it just happened to come in a Dodge box. Lol
  11. Good luck dripley, hopefully they are not going to with hold pay from you or your crew.
  12. They have extended Ohio's stay at home order to May 1st now and have stricter regulations as to how many people are permitted in a store at any one time.
  13. That was the reason mainly, I like the look also. My uncle and I cut our own firewood and he was tossing splits into the bed of my other truck a few years ago and one got away from him and ended up in the back seat. Lol Luckily a buddy had a replacement window in the garage so quick easy fix. Just don't want to have to do that again. On the plus side, now I have a bar to mount some lights on. Maybe an LED bar on top and a couple work lights slung under the rack pointing rearward.
  14. Thanks, amazing what some paint will do. I had the headache rack sitting in the garage for quiet a while. Wanted to put it to good use.
  15. So with all this stay at home stuff, or shelter in place depending on where you live and what terminology they use, I was bored the past couple days. Yesterday we had to make a trip out so I bought the couple things I needed to do a project I've been considering. I'll let the pictures show the project The first is before pic, then after.
  16. I agree with drip, we all have our own flavor of bad luck sometimes
  17. I would for sure drop the rear axle and inspect all the contact points, locating pins/holes, spring packs, spring eye bushings while your under there as well. When you reassemble be sure to use new u-bolts and torque to spec then retorque after about 100 miles or a week or so.
  18. I will have to update my sig again. I tried linking it to my garage like some do here to give more detail but I can't figure it out. My truck is a 2001 3500 qcdrw SO with nv4500 5 speed
  19. Myself and the wife will be staying home. I have a small errand to run tomorrow but that's it, back to the house!
  20. It's reaching everyplace.
  21. I saw that as well. It's getting very bad. I just told my adult children that they need to stay away. All 4 of them live near or in the city suburbs, I'm out in the country for a reason. Lol Unless it's an emergency stay home.
  22. I may have to cut the length of the bolt down a bit. I had the tailgate off when I did the mod. The bolt rubs the bottom lip when I close it. Just need to figure out what to do with the spare now. Not gonna cut up the exhaust to make the spare fit. Guess it'll go back under the toolbox for now. Need to throw a bottle Jack and blocks in the box as well as sockets to change a flat if needed.
  23. If it has been replace then I am somewhat relieved. That's an expense I didn't want to deal with anytime soon. Lol I have begun a 2cycle oil regiment when I fuel up to help prolong the life. I want to go to bigger lines with a pressure gauge before long as well to keep an eye on things.
  24. Here in Ohio the number of cases, hospitalized and deaths have all doubled since Monday.
