My last week of clean up. Then I switch over. I've got toolboxes and tools on Thor even got new keys for the locks.

 

Then having my 2002 running again is super  nice.

Exactly... I've been there before worked for people I didn't get along with and the conditions were good but not great. I'm getting older and don't want the laying in the dirt and limited shop. Done plenty of that I'm not wanting to do it anymore.

I good friend of mine went to work as a radio engineer in LV for CBS Broadcasting on their AM radio stations. He was working for them in LA.  It was a good setup with wack manager. So he took the gig in LV.  He found a good manager with a wack setup. He told me they just gave you a leatherman and that was all the tools they provided.  He was not feeling that at all.

Just in the work I've done in prepping for this is unreal. I've been lucky to have one day off through the week. My tool boxes were cheap for $200 a pair. There wasn't any keys for the locks. I got lucky with the locks being they had the code on the lock and George Lock and Key in Lewiston was able to make a set of keys for $15. I've been shopping locally for tool deals to outfit the shop truck. I've got basic tools for now but I need to expand that so I'm not running for the tool box at home to make up the slack.

UPDATE

 

So my first job was handling the property managers 1977 Ford F-250 400 CID that has been sitting for over 10 years. 

 

• Carburetor Rebuild
• Replaced over 12 feet of fuel line
• Power washed the crud out the fuel tank.
• Hooked up a fuel filter at the fuel tank.
• Added a fuel pressure regulator.
• Changed spark plugs
• Changed upper and lower radiator hoses.
• Starter solenoid replaced
• New keys made for ignition lock.
• New ignition module

 

Finally after some help from my good friend "Shawn Davis" we got it up and running yesterday and now I continue to now do all the fluid changes. Since it raining today I'm going to be at home clean up another mess. My first job for the Peterson Family is going to pull a 2 cycle engine from a Cushman Snow Machine. I've been told by Neal (Property Manager) that Peterson's have ordered a short block engine for this machine and should be here very soon. Compression is only a mere 80 PSI and the engine only runs for a small amount of time like 5 to 10 minutes then it will not run till it cools off again. Compression just too low to keep running.

I used to own one just like that but it had full time 4 Wheel Drive. The mileage was terrible and so I got a new 79 Chev Silverado 1/2 ton 4wd 6 cylinder short bed, 3 on the tree. Loved that simple little truck till it got wrecked.

That job right now is closed till spring time. Being McCall / Donnelly is still cold and snowing and I've got to work outside no shop. I still do small task for the group but right now its just been cold and slow for everything even here. Again this morning looking at the weather tower and 17*F this morning there is nothing at this time that requires me to head out in the bitter cold it can wait. After doing a start 2 days ago on a 7.3L Ford I was have issues in a very short order trying to even pick up the tiny 8mm nut for the starter because my fingers froze up quick. Gloves... Worthless then I lose all my dexterity so right now I'm just holding and waiting.
