  1. Ok here goes, i have my truck (in the sig) that has a noticable miss when the air temperature is below 40 deg or so. The colder it gets, the worse it is. But it only happens when the engine is under a slight load, not at idle, not at wot. The higher the chip is turned up the more noticable it is also. When the outside temp get above 50 or so I can turn the chip up as far as I want and I'll never feel it.Now my dad's truck is an '02, 6 spd, has a 70 hp bully dog chip on it also does the same thing. Not as noticable but its definitely there when it gets cold or when you throw a trailer behind it. My dad's spent a lot of time at different shops trying to figure this ou…

  2. Well, I wound up buying a new VP44. Ouch!! Now I have a whole new problem. Twice it has happened to me and once to my daughter that when the ignition is in the on position no dash lights appear nor does the engine turn over. There is no power at the ignition at all. The batteries are 2 weeks old and are Interstate 1000 CA. Any help would be appreciated as I am leaving on a 3500 km trip this coming Sunday pulling a 32ft trailer!! Help!! Arcwelder --- Update to the previous post... Oops!! Truck is a 01 QC 2wd.

  3. Truck decided not to restart once Saturday, started Sunday and died once, one restart since then. No rhyme or reason. but. . . I have 8 volts on the grounds at the Aux. battery for the PCM and ECM. Disconnect them with the key on and everything comes on like normal but no start. (no voltage on VP pin 7) Reconnect and it will start. (voltage on VP pin 7) Will restart everytime after you disconnect and reconnect grounds at Aux. battery. Any thoughts?

Hey guys, my name is Kerry and I have a '99 Dodge Ram 3500 2wd. I'm having a problem with the tach dropping off and the truck loses power. It last for a few minutes then everything starts working again but sometimes the tach will act erratically and the truck will start missing. If anyone can give me an idea of what to check or do to fix this issue I would greatly appreciate it!!!

  5. Hey all, back again for some advice. Truck when cold upon startup seems to run the best and once she's up to temp, I seem to get more vibration than I should. Truck isn't stock and I've been told it won't run AS smooth as a stock truck would since she has bigger injectors and a different pump. I noticed today and the other day that I was getting a lot of vibration when driving, like the engine was running rough. Yesterday she ran a lot better but only recently have I noticed the roughness and it's at random. Sometime last week I remember pulling in to park her after going out in town and I was like damn, she's pretty smooth (up to temp too etc) and it'll rando…

  6. Hello again, I have had this starting problem for about 6 or 8 months now at least and I'm getting tired of it. I cant find any write ups online about it. Its a 1998 dodge cummins obviously. I don't really know how to describe it cause it is so random and all the lights work and try fires up fine once it finally cranks over. I'de guess about every 40th turn of the key is a dud and then the next 20 or 30 cranks after that are dude until the truck decides it wants to crank over and start. What could this be? I have checked every fuse in the truck that a test light can check. I have eyeballed all the square fuses under the hood. Everything seems okay. It has a new ignition i…

I have noticed recently that sometimes upon cold start my truck will idle at 900rpms instead of the usual 825 rpms. Iv also noticed that when accelerating I can seemingly feel dead spots in the pedal at times. Could my apps be going out? I can rev the truck and it will still idle high but when put in gear and driven and stopped it’s back to 825. Thoughts? Also I had a P0336 come up and replaced the crankshaft sensor with a Napa part and code went away along with the symptoms so that’s out of question.

Hey guys. New to the forum here. I have a 1998.5 Cummins that has been in my wife's family since day one. My wife grew up getting to drive the truck to high school when her Dad wasn't using it for work. He also used it to tow his mega truck "Crawldad II" to events in the southeast. Anyways he passed away 2 years ago and my wife wanted me to make the truck my daily driver a remembrance of her dad. When I got back from deployment this past spring we flew to TN and proceed to drive the truck from TN to WA with no issues. I only flushed/changed the fluids/filter and replaced the brakes. Outside of that the truck drove great. About a month the truck started surging at idle. Wh…

  9. I have a '02 SLT Laramie Ram 3500 dually with 5.9L 24V tubo engine and an odd voltage reading problem. When I start the engine the volt meter rises slowly to a little over 14 volts & then slowly falls back down to 11 - 12 volts before rising again to 14 volts. If I have the headlights on, they dim as the volts fall & brighten up as the volt reading rises. It does this several times and usually stabilizes when the engine reaches operating temps. Is this something I should be concerned about or is this normal? What could cause this?

Introduction I've been adding 2 cycle oil to my diesel fuel for the last about 20,000+ miles. So far I've found out that it has improved a few things like engine noise is reduced, fuel mileage increased slightly, and knowing the the fuel system is being lubricated is always a plus! I've been adding a quart every time I fill up with fuel. So if I pump 20-25 gallons I'll add a quart of 2 cycle oil. It makes it roughly 80:1 to 120:1 ratio of fuel to 2 cycle oil. This is relatively low ratio and with not cause any harm engine as far as I known. There is another reason why I'm adding 2 cycle oil to my fuel. It because of EPA changing the sulfur levels in the diesel…

Hey guys, I've had this issue since I bought the truck, but the IOD fuse keeps blowing and I don't know why. I do know that this fuse runs the OBDII port and several lights. I have checked all of the light connections and nothing seems to be shorting out. Can anyone throw out some more advice on why this fuse would be blowing?

I’ve noticed a lot of people have issues with getting IQuad to recognize an imported tune on Apple devices. I had the same issue and never found the pinned topic in the tunes section that discussed importing tunes. I was able to figure it out this evening and here’s how I did it. After purchasing a tune, click download in the browser on the Mopar1973Man order confirmation page. The file should now show up in your files folder. (Images are blurred because I held down on the iCloud to highlight them). If you can’t find your files icon, sipe all the way left and search for files. The icon looks like this. From there, t…

  13. Just curious if anyone has experienced this before. I recently installed a Adrenaline with iQuad on my truck. When monitoring the boost reading from the iQuad on my phone it reads about 3psi lower than my other boost gauge. I have a 0-60 Autometer elite, its not a junk gauge and has never been over pressurized since my truck is mostly stock so I would expect it to be accurate. Could this be a conversion thing with how the Iquad produces its boost number or a sign of a failing MAP sensor? Truck runs great no weird issues I have noticed just curious since if it is low all my fueling will be thrown down 3psi levels. Thanks

OK all, those of you that are running the V2 tuning with the iQuad let’s see your phone/tablet setups!!! I am looking into buying a new one because my Samsung galaxy tab E has started to fail and the screen is separating from the tablet. Not sure if I want to upgrade to a different tablet or replace this one?!!

Haven’t checked with Quadzilla on this but anyone else experience some iQuad display issues, specifically with some stray numbers showing up? See pics below of the number 80 in the engine load square and 30 shows up in the same location in the default gauge display. This is a mini Apple iOS tablet. Anyone else have this issue? Not a big deal but thought I’d ask.

My Adrenaline box has the V2 2.7 beta software. My tune pages look much different than the standard V2 (more detailed it seems). Can I update to the newest software without a cable and computer? I'd love to run some of these tunes I see but the iPod the beta software is on won't connect to the internet anymore. I wrote a basic tune using Quadzillas website as a guide. It works better than the crazy tune that was in it which you can't look at settings. If you select the arrow to make changes it boots you out of IQuad. Thoughts?

  18. Hello all, recently had a low voltage code p0122 on my 99. Figured it was the stock tps and decided to replace with the highly reviewed TIMBO. now I’m not sure if these issues were present before the timbo install due to not having a good code reader. I am now using a snap on brick code reader. my issue is with the key on, ignition off I have a steady tps voltage of .66 and it will rise appropriately with pedal push and return to .66. However when I start the truck and let it idle the voltage is very sporadic. Never staying at a solid number even when pushing the pedal. The truck runs and drives fine without one issue beside the check en…

  19. I drained my fuel from my fuel tank into 5 gallon buckets because I needed to fix leaky sump and mount Airdog pump in better spot. When I got ready to pure fuel back in noticed rather large beads of whatever (water, dirt, etc) mixed in with fuel. Finding micron sizing stuff on line, I ran fuel thru coffee filters (supposed to be around 20 microns). The fuel still didn’t look good to me. I then removed Airdog pump from truck and hung it in the fence and with long wires and a remote 12 volt switch and have been running fuel thru the Airdog filters. Airdog says one if its filters is 2 micron. I believe that filter is the one with a water drain valve. Fuel now looks …

Looking for opinions on installing 4" exhaust. Any noticeable power increase over stock exhaust? Any noticeable drop in EGT? Aluminized or stainless? Muffler or straight pipe? Not worried about loudness as much as droning. What brand? Diamond Eyes, MBRP or something else? Thanks for any advice.
