So i've had my Current Sig pic truck for 2 year's now and the 4 inch exhaust is really starting to rust well at this point it's more rust/weld then pipe. And really been looking over exhaust choice's of course I can go back to 4 or 5 inch stright pipe/mufflered good for some like me while it lasted $400-500 for a new set. Or there's 4 or 5 in Dual's which i would love but saving for injector's and a tuner have nipped that in the bud at around $700-800 a set. There's also stacks which i really really love(Have a set on my V10 atm so quite and look awesome) but i have a bed cover on this truck and just can't bring myself to cut the bed(Also my father informed me he might sh…

  2. I was driving to work this morning and the truck just shut off and will crank but not start. Fuel pressure is reading 15-17psi on gauge. Any help would be appreciated. I changed the VP 44 probably 50k ago.

  3. I have had this truck for almost 3 years and love it. For most of this time I barely even hit the starter, it fires right up the second the starter motor engages. Well the last couple of weeks this has changed. First it started having to crank just a bit, maybe 2 seconds and yesterday and today had to crank for 3-4 seconds. It always has fired up fine and runs great, with the mileage being about the same as usual. Fuel pressure is the same, a low of 13 and high of 16. Tried to run it higher but it does not like it. One change is that the weather is now starting to get hot, with our hitting 96 today and forcast to be above 100 by the weekend. The truck has started a bit qu…

New member here. I notice Dynamic Transmission is one of the sponsors of this forum. I see hardly any posts about peoples experience working with them. Anybody here have one of their transmissions? How do you like it? Any info good or bad would be appreciated.

  5. After sitting on my shop shelf of over 5 years, I think it is FAR past time to install the Mag Hytec diff covers I bought. I went out to the garage shop and checked.......only 3 quarts of Amsoil 75W-90 left. I had some Walmart Supertech 75W-90 and 75W-140 but only 2 or 3 bottles of each. Called my local petroleum dealer and asked them if they had any and they told me they have Conoco Phillips 75W-90 and 80W-140 synthetic. http://www.matweb.com/search/datasheettext.aspx?matguid=e316b9e0fb4b46a5839e141543882fdf http://www.phillips66lubricants.com/brands-products/Single.aspx?pid=372 I am leaning towards the 80W-140. I can get both the 75W-90 or the 80W-1…

Is there a way to disconnect push lok fittings without cutting the fuel line? I need to check my bypass valve for debris on my fuel boss and I don't have a lot of extra fuel line if I cut it. I'm trying to diagnose my stall issue upon cold start up: the truck stalls/almost stalls when put into drive or reverse from a cold start. Once it's been run, it's fine the rest of the day. This started happening when I put my triple disc torque converter in. I have new injectors ready to go in, but connector tube o-rings won't be in till later this week. I'm guessing it's either low stall converter issues, debris in fuel line, or connector tube leak.

Today I drove into town about an hour drive. When I got there I stopped and it smelled like I had left the park brake on. I know that was not the case just what it smelled like brake material or clutch material. So here we go .... :$: Tue the truck goes in for some service. I'm getting my rv 275s installed, valves adjusted, mbrp 4" installed, Edge Juice w/Attitude installed, front end done ball joints, track bar, etc... the works. At that time I will have the free spin kit installed I got from DLux thanks Erik . I am getting a good deal at the shop so I am letting them do the easy stuff too. I have a torn tendon in my left shoulder so im out of options for the ne…

  8. Over the past few days i've found that there is a dead spot in my accelerator pedal where either right off idle or at cruise at about 1/4 pedal the motor will drop in output, and if in OD the converter will pop in and out of lockup as if I were making wild swings with the accelerator pedal. I haven't checked for codes yet, but I haven't seen a check engine light either. Otherwise the truck runs great. New batteries recently, and I really should check contacts and grounds, but its a weird issue regardless. Any bright ideas?

  11. Over the last few weeks, my truck has been showing an engine check light. The light comes on only when the truck has been running for 1/2 hour or so. I am only using the truck for short distances while driving to and from mowing jobs. After completing a lawn, I will attempt to start the truck to head to the next job, and it will NOT START. If I wait for 20 more minutes or so and try again, it will now start. A mechanic came over and placed a scan tool to the computer input and the scan tool was not able to read any data!! If anyone has any ideas of where to begin on a diagnosis I would appreciate it. Note: After the truck sits overnight, the next day the truck will start…

WWwwwwooorrrrrRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz! So, last winter, I got this weird buzz from my block heater, and a very high current draw to the heater. Popped a CB in the house. And, like any true American would do, I reset the breaker and plugged that puppy back in! I haven't used it since though. I Ohmed the plug, and couldn't find any leaks and summer was coming so I didn't worry about it. I was thinking of replacing the thing soon. Has anybody had this issue?

So driving home, I was in 4wd from our recent snowfall. Half way home suddenly I start hearing a chirp noise. It's oscillating as well. It Will make the noise going down hill but mostly When under load. If I take it out of 4wd, it Will fade away... What is it? Can I still use my 4wd?

My fuel pressure has been acting crazy. Started gradually increasing from 16 lbs to 27 lbs. I thought at first that it was due to cold fuel. I live at 9500 ft. Had this system for about 35,000 miles or so. 2001 2nd generation with DDRP Fass 95 mounted near the fuel tank. It did the same thing a while back and I got the pressure adjusted back to where I wanted it. Now I have to try it again. Is it the ball and spring in the Fass pump you think?

Howdy guys, Paps truck is down and I'm currently 1600 Miles from either him or the truck. So we could use y'alls assistance. Rig specs: 1999 Dodge 3500 NV4500 4x4 with 3 year old Timbos APPS Truck was running fine, then it started to high idle on startup to about 1100 RPM (He doesn't have a high idle kit) no delay, it just went straight to 1100. Then a day or two later he started it up to find it also had dead pedal stuck at 1100RPM (in a Walmart parking lot lol (Thank heavens for Torque!!!)) He did some research on the issue, and decided to try and reset the apps doing the 30 minute battery disconnect thing and then pumping the thro…

  18. Here you go guys and gals. A 10 minute video explaining the entire fuel system of the 98.5 to 2002 Dodge Cummins. It shows operation of the lift pump, filter, fuel heater, VP44 and injectors. Someone really out did themselves on this video! http://s1094.photobucket.com/albums/i443/TannerSpangler1/?action=view&current=Cummins_ISB.mp4

Guys, I have a friend who has intrusted in me to fix his truck. It is a 2001 CTD. This truck use to start when you turned the key right away, hardly would crank over a half an engine revolution and start. Now it cranks two or three complete revolutions before it starts, usually after a hot restart. He lost the factory lift pump years ago and had the dealer install an intank lift pump. He had the injector pump fail shortly after that pump was replaced. I'm wondering what the lift pump pressure should be when the key is turn to run but engine not started. I have none at this time but it starts and has presure of about 7 to 8 psi when running. Should there be initi…
