HI Guys, I bought a Built unit and I'm dealing with the Black smoke output. As long as I leave it in Cruise control it will just build boost and climb the hill in overdrive. But when I interface with the throttle Black Smoke BABY!! Drop out of over drive and it goes for a little then it Black smokes. So in doing my learning, reading, It's been suggested that a Quadzilla V2 would allow me to tone down the injectors, and Tame the Smoke. I have a rebuilt Injector pump with 2 years warranty so I would like to forgo the wiretap mod to start with. As I read the Wire tap is to increase the fuel, and that is not my issue. I was just reading where another gentl…

Newby HELP! Power down @ 1900 RPM Here's my story bought my 1st Diesel, unknown to me it had a cracked 53 block. Ran good but high idle (about 850 rpm). Bought a used 2000 24valve with 50 k miles on it. Did the re n re myself all went good runs good but @ 1900 RPM powers down, no throttle resonse until the RPM drop below 1900. Replaced fuel pump as it was producing 6-7 PSI. Traded the new engine ecm for the old ecm, starts, runs high idle like old engine for a few seconds then tach stops working, idle drops to a lower RPM and check engine light comes on ....but when test drove didn't power out at 1900 RPM....switched back to newer ECM and runs as normal except still po…

I posted this on CumminsForum, but also wanted to post on here for help. Just got my Airdog 150 in today from Vulcan Performance. I have a couple questions before I finish up the install. Since the new system bypasses the stock filter housing, do I just remove the housing, and the old block mounted lift pump all together? Also, do I remove ALL of the old fuel lines? There were two fuel lines ontop of the fuel gauge sender, but now one of them will be removed, correct? What do I block that old open port off with? My last questions would be about the wiring harness. It says in the owners manual about an Indicator Light Connectors. My question is this, are those for th…

Tappet cover was leaking, so unless someone has an ultra secret procedure, I needed to pretty much remove everything that side of block , I have removed the injection pump before, being mindful of the key, but this time the key fell out. A) tear front cover off and retrieve key or B) hope it made its way to the oil pan.

Yesterday, hauled some cattle home, and our sand is pretty dry.. and LOOSE. So, normally I'd kick it into 4x4 as we get close to the load out area. I've learned to kick it in at least 100 yards before expecting the light to come on. Sometimes it comes on immediately, and sometimes I have to stop...back up a little. No matter, yesterday, Nuttin. Crawled under to see if any vac lines were off. All ok. I need to pop the hood to check the vac supply.. although my hvac doors work ok. I did notice the Vacuum motor on the axle disconnect was 'loose'. Not quite floppy, but easy to turn on it's nipple t…

Snow is forecast so of course the truck is on the fritz. It's about 40 degrees out. Turn the key, "wait to start" light doesn't come on and grid heaters obviously not working. I have a Quadzilla tuner and if I just leave the key on long enough I can see that the IAT is reading 40 degrees so I know the IAT is working. Even if the relays or grid is broke shouldn't I still see the "wait to start" light coming on for 10 seconds? Is there something obvious I'm missing?

Ok... Researched this, but to no avail. This site is not working for me, but I want to see it http://mopar.mopar1973man.com/cummin...d/vac-diag.jpg So, in Texas, it rains and when it does it POURS!!! and when your 4x4 doesn't work it's not good in this odd soil. Started at the vaccum pump, has good suction there, tracked it too the T section on the fire wall (the grey/white line). This line has suction that is lookin like it goes to the T-Case... Then kinda disparages but I haven't put a lot of time into finding it from there. It's hard to get to the top of the T-Case... So then I went to the CAD (actuator) on the front passenger side of the axle. The CAD has no suc…

Hey guys can someone please help me. I had to emergency stop twice now and all the truck did was lock up the rear tires and the front did nothing. Rear abs does not work but the light does not come on to tell me there's a problem. The light does work when you turn the key on, then goes out after a couple of seconds. I'm not sure if my truck is supposed to have 4 wheel abs or not but I found the abs wires cut at the hubs. Any help would be great. Thanks

So I did the wt ground mod on my truck, and also decided to clean up the spaghetti that was on my battery terminals for all my accessories. I wired in two battery bus terminals, and ran all my accessories to them(including the quadzilla module), and ran the power to the positive off the old alternator post on the pdc. Well, that was a mistake because my stupid self didn't crimp the terminal good enough for the wire that runs from the battery positive post to the pdc. It arced inside the connector, and shut the whole truck down. I fixed it right away, but it dumped the programming on my quadzilla. I managed to reflash it, but now it doesn't read the map sensor, and the tru…

Hi Guys, I'm new here real nice site. I came here looking for some info and hopefully some help or direction as i'm really struggling with dead gauges and a no bus odometer on my new to me '01 2500 4x4 5 speed. This truck has been rode hard and put up wet way too many times, but the drive train seems to be in decent shape and it'll work good as my farm truck. What I've done so far is remove and clean the bolted connector several times in the under hood fuse box, I have also removed and cleaned the under dash by the clutch main connector. I have tried to get codes but the only thing retrievable is 900 920 921 when I do a cluster check, all the gauges function when I do…

99 Dodge 2500 24v p pump man trans. WT- ground wire mod has been done. Fass pump. It started periodically no gauges then a mile or two down the road all gauges would start working ? Was always in a hurry. Never messed with it. Have a Edge II and it would lose connection, touch the screen would it come back on screen. Never showed NO BUS on dash, when this took place. This has probably been going on close to two years. I never was able to look at it. I got Covid 4 times and was very sick. Better now. Gauge issue has gotten much worse as of last month. I would cycle the ignition and the gauges would stumble and eventually come back. If the truck sat for 2-3 days batteries…

Okay, fellas I need some help understanding what I'm seeing here. Over the past several drives, when I first start the truck up the BRAKE and ABS lights might stay on for a short bit (less than a minute) and then go out. Once or twice, I also caught the speedo popping up as I started to drive. Like it was at 0, then suddenly popped up to whatever speed I was going, 20-ish MPH... I wasn't really watching it, so I'd sorta see it happen just outside of my view. Then today, idling for about a minute in a parking lot, about to leave, the NO BUS message appears in my odometer, the MIL, ABS, FUEL and the AIRBAG lights are illuminated, and I lose my gau…

So yesterday I was driving in winter like conditions, busted through two snow drifts, shortly after that my dash went dead except the tach. 'No bus' was displayed in the odometer and my over head consol had 'CCd'. I was able to get to a small town only about 70 miles from home before the batteries gave out. I just put on an ecm and pcm from a 99 manual, so I am not sure if the ecm gave out or if it might be an electrical issue? I tried to read the codes with my Smarty but it seems that it can not find the ecm, it just keeps telling me to turn the key off then turn the key on. I do have a down load on the Smarty so I am also wondering if the ecm is toast is there any …

Story goes, I parked the truck, pulled the motor to build up a little bit and when the truck was parked everything ran and worked fine. Truck is a 2002 p-pumped 24v, 4x4, six speed. I finally got to put the motor back in, was out about a year d/t a deployment. turn the key and nothing, no cranking or click or anything. Swapped all the relays out to determine if it was the starter relay, still nothing. I ran a jumper wire from the where the relay would create a hot terminal with the "start" position and the truck fires over and runs fine. I'm obviously getting power from the ignition switch to the relay and the junction block, etc. I'm assuming that the "no bus" con…

I sent my ecm in for repair and WTS seems to work correctly but now on odometer I have a no bus message. Also abs, air bag and mil lights are on. Odometer codes are 900, 920, 921, 940, 950, 999 and gauges don’t work. Codes are p1698 and p0237. What do you use if you don’t have DRB III tool? Would really appreciate any help you folks can offer. Thank you

Hello fellow cummins nuts, this week my truck has made me feel mentally challenged, started with edge not connecting but truck started and ran, then it went to a no bus and i could still read codes which it had none, Today the truck will not crank, OBD2 will not connect, batterys good, checked the PDC box in the main fuse box and it has ground (Encountered no ground there before) i am puzzled as to where to look right now and im also having issues opening links to moparmans 2001 wiring diagrams, Ive searched this issue and clicked on them with a page not found every time. Dash lights work headlights work gauges appear to not work as it reads 0 volts, …
