Hey guys, currently my truck has 3:55 gears and they are terrible for towing with 35’s so I’m wanting to swap to 4:10’s. I can’t find a set that will fit my truck but I found a set out of a 94, my question is will the gears from the 94 axles fit in my 2000 axles? Thanks

There aren't many guys doing it. Only one guy on the net I can find so far and he had troubles. Ended up just goin back to the PCM voltage regulator. :think:I want to do it because of RFI noises and possible damage to the computer. This is according to a couple electrical engineers recommendations I was reading about .

I have a homemade compound setup that has supply lines but does not have return lines as of yet. I was planning on using another oil drain of some sort. Either factory or aftermarket that pops into rear freeze plug port. But, what size is the hose for the factory turbo drain? I’m asking cause I don’t have any extra return hose laying around to measure “ID” So I can just order a bulk piece and cut to length. 5/8, 3/4, 7/8?

As the title states, I while installing my Wicked Wheel on my HX35W I snapped the tip of the shaft off getting it tight. I know the instructions say to get it hand tight but it was seized and would not spin freely at all. The tighter I got it the looser it got and spun a little more freely until it snapped. It's for a 99 manual truck. I'm not trying to buy anything that's not genuine, I would buy just the center piece but my exhaust housing has been rusted to the point where it will not budge and I need to clock it for the compound turbo setup.

I am told by a Dodge mechanic that the control arms will fit. Anybody try this? Does anybody know if the front springs will fit? Perhaps level out the truck without a levelling kit?

I was installing a edge comp today and according to the edge website you must disconnect the neg batteries.. I forgot that part so it tripes a few codes no big deal.. But did it do anything else that i need to fix.. I cleared the codes and the code number was p 0743, p 1765, and p 1693.. Would it of caused any harm to the chip? or the truck? Thanks

I have a 99 Ram 2500. Lately the torque converter has been locking and unlocking, the other night I was checking the altenator grounds and realized my under the hood light was burned out, I took it out and now my Radio, inside lights, and cargo lights dont work... but the Torque converter doesnt lock and unlock anymore, It shifts like it did the day I bought it. Could these be related? I do have a deck, amps, speakers. I did notice that every now and then the amps would make a loud high pitched sound while accelerating. I like the torque converter part but dont know how long I can go without a radio... any suggestions?

Ive got a 2000 3500 24v 47re dana 80 dually 3.55 2wd and im talking to pyle bros axle shop in houston about ugrading to 4.10 and he mentioned about getting the trutrac. Im just hauling the backhoe around town a little. Is the truetrac worth it for my use. I like the idea of improving the traction with 2wd. Ill be hauling the drump trailer also too. Ive read that heavy towing isnt good for the truetrac. What do yall think about that?

Hello all, Having some issues after the swap. Truck is a 99 manual and the new engine is 00. Truck was running fine before with the p-pump now it wont charge or tach. Original ecm, sensors, and harness being used. Wait to start light comes on like it should. Fuel pump will cycle on ignition then wont come back during cranking. Map, AIT, oil, crank, and cam sensors are all getting 4.9v. Wish it was easy to just delete the ecu. Any diagnosing methods I should be doing? Help is greatly appreciated.

My lady was drving our 1999 Ram 3500 cummins turbo diesel, getting on the highway and throttling up when all of a sudden the check engine light came on and our big white truck slowed down to a crawl, 20 mph max. We limped her home and called a good friend of mine who has a code scanner, he hooked it up and it came up with a P1689 code. She will start up and idle, step on the pedal and she studders a bit a Safety shut down mode I suppose with the 20 mph max..Please help me get my baby purring again..Patrick

I’ve been chasing issues with my VP for several months now. The truck would crank and run fine until it came up to operating temperature then would break up and most of the time shut off. so i but the bullet and ordered another VP from DAP. installed this VP along with new batteries and a fuel pressure gauge. I get the pump bleed and fired up. Runs good so while in the shop i was gonna swap out the dash. Got the new dash in and fired the truck up, after 5 seconds it shut off. Fired it up again and the same thing. Ran for 5 seconds and shut off. Third time it would not refire. So i contacted DAP and they said send it in and they would take a look at…

Newbie here, I was turned on to this site through cummins forum and thought this would be a good place to start. I have a 1999 2500 with an exhaust and pretty much stock elsewise she has 240,000 miles and a rebuilt automatic transmission with over over a 100,000 miles and it is now acting up again, cant say im suprised though. Im new here and to most other forums, because i usually just put my head down and try to work it out but now i am completly stumped, i dont know how much work is involed in converting it to a stick or if it would even be a good idea, I pull a 25 foot dump trailer daily so I dont even know if i want to go stick or stay with the auto, any sugestions…

Just like the title says... it's summer and hot here. I've only owned the truck since spring when it never dropped below 40 out, I would like to figure this out BEFORE the cold weather hits this year if possible. I go to the gym 4-5 times a week and it's only a 2 mile drive so I am considering leaving my truck run while working out to prevent possible problems due to frequent short trips and not warming up properly. If I don't have it I will probably do the high idle mod so I can keep the motor warm and EGT's above 300. My truck stays fairly cool even in 80-90 degree weather at idle... I rarely see EGTs over 270 once it's sat for a minute or two, no matter how warm the mo…

Okay awhile back maybe 20,000 miles tops I replaced my alternator and all was good.....Well except 3 random times when the truck just completely shut off beginning with the radio and everything turning off followed by the engine dieing a second later. Everytime it cranked over and started right back up no problems. Now today i lost charge... gauge went all the way down to nothing and the check gauges light came on.After driving home I shut it off and turned it back on... the voltage read around the 12v mark as I believe it should if it is just pulling off the batteries but not charging.I took the alternator off and had it tested... they claimed it was bad and though skepti…

I am wanting to start collecting parts for the conversion. So when I need to I can do the conversion. Spending thousands on an automatic rebuild doesn't seem smart. So what do I need? How big of a job is it? Weekend? Which transmission should I look for? I do want overdrive.

Ok guys I have a 2002 dodge ram2500, I have Isspro fuel gauge my gauge started reading below 5psi when I started the truck and would take about 20mins to build up to about 15psi. Before this started as soon as I started my truck the gauge would jump to around 15-17psi. So I thought well my cheap lift pump is going out so i bought another one from the local auto parts since i don't have time to wait on an airdog or raptor to be shiped to me. Got it installed and the gauge reads 2psi let the truck ideal for about 10mins and it went up to 5psi. Only thing I can come up with is the gauge is bad or the isolator is bad, both are only 2 years old. How long do gauges and is…
