Real close to 100,000 miles. Wondering if knowing the amount of blow by from slobber tube might be useful as to the health of internal parts at later date. A bench mark number to refer to. Only way I can think of to measure would be to measure amount of blow by raises a water column like a rv propane tester. (Versus an actual psi gauge, that might mess up a gasket, but not sure. ) Any info helpful...thanks.

Hello Guru's. I need to change the filter on my airdog 100. The last time I did it I remember losing lots of fuel. What do you guys do ? I was thinking of clamping the hoses. Have any of you ball valves on the hoses to keep from losing fuel ?

Hi all, I have the POSI Lock cable actuator for my 4x4. I didn't install it, it was on the truck when I bought it. I am wondering if anyone else who has one has had issues with the 4x4 indicator light coming on when its not engaged? When I bought the truck the light didn't work. I soon figured out that it just wasn't connected and fixed it. After that the light would sometimes flicker while driving, but I could usually fix it by twisting the cable until it was snug. Today the light was on but very faintly and I couldn't get it to go off. If I pulled the cable it would come on all the way, but when I pushed it in it would stay on very faintly. Later in the day I had t…

I was directed to an article posted by Mopar1973Man that was on a different forum. it concerns a P1690 engine code. it says that AC noise from my lift pump can also cause this. where does alternating current come frome on a direct current vehicle. The alternator? And why does it manifest itself in the fuel tranfer pump?

Hi all,I'm having this problem with a 99, 5 speed, fairly stock, ~25,000 miles on new injector pump , little bullydog 'chip' and BHAF. I'll be going down the road normal, and suddenly I'll loose all power, it just wants to idle. Now if I hit the clutch, and let the fuel pedal all the way out, then push it all the way back in, and let it all the way out again, it's fixed, and I have power again. and when it has this problem the check engine light turns on and stay on for about 30 minutes. I understand checking for codes would be very helpful, a friend of a friend may have a code checker I can use but I'm not sure. Is there something I can do with the key to check for …

Well I now have my first new Dodge 2500 extended cab. 2001 3/4 ton 4X4 5.9 HO HD-6 speed with 100K on a factory rebuild and a total of 183K on the truck. Paid $3500.00 for it but it was rolled over and messed up the cab, fenders and sides of the bed!!! No damage to the frame, engine, grill, radiator and complete drive train. Seats are perfect no cracks on the dash (it was covered from new) and all the lights and tail gate are nice! No way to fix the cab it messed up the door tops and folded the windsheild posts down some. Funny part is the back door windows and slider are OK?? Now saying all this is it even smart to think of changing the cab, hood, fenders and bed on this…

Posted this on oilburners, and thought someone here might have a clue. Quote: Originally Posted by fsmyth View Post Me, too. New injector pump, cranks great cold. One oddity - I hooked the pump relays back up to the ECM (the wire that used to run the pump on the block, and now that hookup no longer runs the pump after 1st crank (the 3-second thing), but does keep the pumps running for …

Ive Done the WT mod on my truck, replaced every battery cable and installed new terminals. Im still getting surging at 45-70 mph. How do I test the AC noise coming off my alternator? I believe the alternator could be the problem as its nearly 2 years old and Idk what the shop that installed it got it from. Ive also cleaned every ground i could find on it. Is there anything else I should check?

First of all thanks for taking the time to read this. I'm a long time lurker who has found a ton of useful info here. This may be a bit of a long post as I have a lot of info to relay. Truck: 98.5 24v with nv5600 manual trans. Replaced just about everything by now except the engine it self. To start with, several weeks ago my truck started charging slower and never showing more than about 13v. I replaced the alternator with no improvement then discovered the voltage regulator was not working. So I installed an external voltage regulator and everything worked great again. I have not seen any voltages over 14.3V even at full throttle. I did not insta…

I poured a gallon of my wife's cooking oil in the tank. Man! I cannot believe how smooth the Cummins seems to love it. I'm pretty sure it has more power up the hills to boot.

99 2500 Ram. Pick up was parked all winter, went to start and just cranked over, shot it with either and started up and was good, thought just lost pressure. Then, at station getting fuel and same thing. I replaced full pump on block thinking that was it and get still does it. Dan a power wire to pump to toggle pump on but still does it with pump runnnning, Abby very annoying. I am thinking it is the control box on the side of block in front of pump. Anyone agree. This is intermittent and can go weeks and be fine. It will always start with a shot of juice. Any ideas
