I have my boots that were torn taken off and waiting for new ones to get here, am I going to hurt anything starting and moving my truck in the yard without the boots on? Getting my truck redy to go for paint next week and need to move it in and out of my building and load it on the float, alot easier to drive it on if it wont hurt anything

  2. Hey everyone. I’m new here. Have always read Info on here but just joined. I bought a 99 2500 2wd to flip. It started as a side job a guy wanted a vp44 installed because he thought that was what was going on. Long story short put in pump and no start. Guy was over it and I bought the truck for cost of the pump. Talked to blue chip diesel and did there diagnostic test and lead to the ecm. Sent the ecm off and got it back. Still no start.

Should a BHAF increase the performance on a stock truck, or is a chip required to take advantage of the increased air flow? I installed a BHAF, and the three MPG calcs have dropped 1 MPG. Could be normal "noise" in the MPG calcs, but after three tanks I expected to see some kind of increase. - djb

http://york.craigslist.org/cto/3397995651.html I'm going to check out this truck on Sunday and was just wondering if you thought it was worth the price. It is now lowered to 18,900 but still seems a little high to me. I was thinking somewhere around 16k. 181,000 miles. Here's a list of the things that were done to it: Air Dog 150 K&N Cold Air Intake 18" XD Wheels with 33" ____ Cepek Mud Country's Bed Tool Box Head Unit Tow Mirrors Also Included: 5 Oil Filters 1 Air Dog Filter And a free oil change:thumbup2: It hasn't been chipped or anything and hasn't been used for towing, just a daily driver.

  7. So, I bought my truck a few months ago. Nice condition, well taken care of but was completely stock. I talked to previous owner and he said he had transmission built with heavy duty parts for towing and at the same time he went through and replace ring and pinion, seals, bearings in rear end at same time. I am and have done some upgrades but just want a good maintained reliable truck. Sorry I am going on and on but getting back to having rear end redone. When I changed the rear differential speed sensor today I pulled old one out and there were metal filings on the piece that sits inside the rear end. I thought maybe from before it was redone. So I put new one in …

I have recently been offered a set of 125 Hp DAP Performance Injectors at a good price. I have a 2000, 3500, 4wd, auto Ram with 330K miles. I am looking to get a bit more power when towing and generally replace the likely, worn out/tired original stock injectors. I know they are not Bosch, but some people have given these good marks. Does anyone here have any experience with DAP Performance Injectors, 125 Hp or other, and would these injectors be appropriate for what I am trying to accomplish with my rig. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Sorry, I forgot to mention that the injectors I am considering are DAP 125HP Performance Injectors 8x0.009 VCO- VP8X9VCO125

  9. First.... What kind of lift pump is this? And is it decent? Second.... Do I have a DANA 80 that is limited slip or not? I heard that limited slip dana 80s are standard in 01 and 02 one tons with the 6 speed tranny and 245 motor, but I don't know. Third.... My cruise control indicator on the lcd screen below the trip and odometer always stays lit, and my cruise doesn't work.... Next, this may be related to the cruise not working or it may not be, my BRAKES and ABS light are constantly illuminated.. Only codes I have are the 0122 code for a dying apps, which I will be replacing with one from timbo in the near future.

Well anyways, my 53 block has been cracked for a couple of years now and growing steadily.Iv'e been shopping around and here is what I think I will do. my truck has 140,000 miles on itso I think the best route to take is to get a new block and have all my stuff put on it.The mech said they will do the head and do anything needed while it is in the shop. I just wanna do it once and do it right. Looking at right at 8 grand does this sound like a good number ?? I do not want to put a junkyard engine in my baby.Luke

  11. Hey all, back again with another problem 🙃 so I have a weird knocking that sounds like it’s coming from the bell housing directly under where the clutch is.. it’s an 01 6 speed with (supposedly) a South Bend Dual Disk. Noise stays even with clutch pedal pressed in, I just don’t hear the discs rattling any more. The noise is proportional with engine rpm. I’m praying to god it’s the flywheel bolts or maybe it’s the original 300k flywheel and the P/O just slapped a new clutch in, which is definitely possible due to other things done on the truck... maybe dual mass flywheel? Clutch spring hitting? Clutch component broken and is stuck in there? I’m almost certain it isn’t inje…

  12. Hello,I am new to the site not new to Cummins or diesel but just purchased a 24V truck and need some guidance. The truck is a 2001 HO sixspeed. I just purchased (among MANY other things) a Qaudzilla Adrenaline with the V2 screen. I also am purchasing a FASS setup. I am doing all this from a computer as Im overseas and my trucks are in Texas.I need to know what kind of fitting do I need to run the FASS and the Qaudzilla sender into the VP44. Is it a T-fitting? Anyone with pics or helpful info would be greatly appreciated. I searched on CF but couldn't find a good pic of anyones setup.Thank you in advance,Zack

My truck will only go in limp mode. Third gear only unless I manually shift 1-2-3. No overdrive. I get two codes - 1693 and 0743. The first time it went out I took the relay out and put it back in and it worked for 15 minutes. After trying this a few times it now has a code all of time and clearing the code does nothing once the car is truned back on. I checked the wires going into the transmission and the wires on the pcm. I also checked my lock up controller and I don't see any obvious wiring problems. I put a continuity tester on every connection on my lock up controller and there was not any continuity between the wires. I am now at a loss for how to diagnose this.

  15. i have a 99 24v and the ecm stopped sending signal to the alternator. i have came across this before on several 12v. i install a cpgenerator voltage regulator. i have yet to do this on a 24v but i have a friend lance from 4play offroad and diesel that has done this swap and told me to ask mopara973man, because it was slightly more extensive than the 12v. i searched for the post but have yet to find it. thanks to anyone that can give me the skinny on what wires to bypass and need to route to and from

First a little background. After my last trip of about 1200 miles I decided to upgrade my lift pump because the old (new) carter was misbehaving (again). I replace the original carter before last years 7000 mile trip, fuel filter also. Worked flawless as far as carters do. Ran about 7-9lbs FP until about 300 miles from home. Pressure went to '0' for about 10 seconds while entering the freeway and then returned to normal. When I got home I changed the fuel filter and then all was well. This year the carter went to '0' again for about a minute or so up in Sandpoint, Idaho and then came back up to 6-9 lbs. Made it back home ok and changed out the carter to a fuel b…

Ive done dozens of them but decided to buy the gould kit to have the tooling and it actually comes with two seal kits. I actually learned a couple tricks from the dvd that i didnt know before. Any oil resistant rtv will work. Ive used grey, black, red and blue. Never had any leak

  18. On the 24v that I am building it has a KDP and I was planning on making a little tab to keep that pin in its place, but I was wondering if you had to cut some of the case out to to put the tab in and screw the bolt back in flush or if there was a way to do it without cutting any of the case out. Flywheel question: the flywheel that came off said motor has hot spots on it it appears, being darker blotches here and there. So should I just put that one on there or should I put my old one on that's a little bumpy on the surface where the clutch is applied? Its not terrible by any means but its there. I've heard to not reuse a flywheel that has hotspots but I didn'…

Well the truck just hit 163K miles and I ran out of water this morning. I already knew before I popped the hood because of two things...lol 1. I slowly lost heat in the cab. 2. Truck started to overheat almost immediately after I lost all heat. This happened to me about 2 weeks ago and I didn't think anything of it at first, but from the looks of it I can't find traces of any water leaks anywhere. So I guess I will throw the coolant pressure tester on the truck and see where I spring a leak. I am thinking water pump most likely due to the nature of the beast and the search button feature lol.
