In my 99 Laramie SLT overhead console everything works, except for the trip meter. I ran the self test on it, and it said "PASSED". My friend's 02 Laramie SLT does the same exact thing. We don't get any errors on the display either. Anybody know why this is happening? It's not a big deal as the dash has its trip meter, but it's just an annoyance that it doesn't work.

Has anybody else had any issue with the female fitting on your trans cooler lines at the front of the truck behind the bumper? I’ve owned my truck for 2.5 years and I’ve probably replaced it 5-6 times. It’s the quick disconnect line it’s keeps leaking out of the fitting

My cruise control doesn't work. The light on the dash comes on but nothing happens when you push set. I've replaced a few rotted vacuum connections. Where is the actual cruise control unit located? I have a 2001 2500 with automatic trans.

I need some help and advice, please. I have a 01 2500 Cummins, and need to replace the front brakes and rotors. There is a fairly large torx head bolt holding the brake calipers onto the hub assembly. NO ONE has the External socket that fits this bolt. Where the h*** do I get this socket? I have spent two days getting nowhere but frustrated looking for this. An E24 is just a little bit too small and that is the largest that NAPA sells. Also, what size is the internal Torx that removes the caliper sliders from the main caliper assy? thanks for any and all replies! whodat88

I hate to ask this because I know it's floating around somewhere, but I need some direction on narrowing down the blinker wires in the cab. I have a set of 4th gen mirrors from 1A that I'm trying to put on the truck right now and have not had much luck in narrowing down the blinkers. Any help is appreciated. Truck is an 01.

Finally have my 5" how I like it. Exhaust all scavenged off a kenworth w800 Ohhh man I'm really liking the 3rd gen wheels I have two sets. Thinking about powdercoating one set mat black or BMW silver. I might look into a set of street tires toyo used to have a m54 that was heavy duty street application. I've had great luck running m55s never tried the 54 would be cool to have a quite street tread and swap on mud terrains in October

I cannot get the old rubber hose that covers the evaporater's metal lines off. The new one did not come with them. Does anybody know where I can buy some replacements or what I can use instead? Thanks.

Has anyone changed their instrument cluster over to LED bulbs? If so, how would you say you like it? where did you get the bulbs? Is it worth getting the ebay kits, or better to source on my own?

Hey guys, about to put in my blue-top box I got and wanted to make sure I was thinking this through correctly. The following sound ok? 1. To flush out the old lines I plan on having the old box off, and just running fresh power steering fluid through the reservoir for a 1/2-full quart. 2. Once everything back together I plan on putting fluid in reservoir until 3/4 full, starting truck and first, pumping brakes, then checking fluid, add as neccessary, then turning wheels full lock one way, checking fluid, full lock the other way, then checking fluid. That sound about right for doing this?

I live down in South Mississippi where even on the coldest days it may drop to the 20s in the morning but by the time the sun comes up good temps rise into the upper 30s. and this is only for a few days out of the year. My reason for asking is I read on a couple articles that it can reduce egts. My egts at cruise (75mph) are around 900 degrees and of course shoot up pretty quickly if I get on the throttle at all. Will this help that come down?? I want to go with bigger injectors and Turbo in the near future just trying to save up the funds. Truck is a 2001 ecsb 2500 with a built 47re. It does have a 5inch lift and 35s on 20s which i know play a factor in the problem.…

Forgive me if this has been asked and I can't find it. I am having trouble with my blend knob... Starting at around the 12 o'clock mark, one 'click' to the left and it will freeze you out, one 'click' back to the right and you get roasted out. Very Cold or Very Hot! no 'blend' at all... 2 different controls do this, really always has since I got the truck but I'm getting annoyed by it.

So.. my truck has been down about a month now waiting on this new track bar. I get it in and get to installing it this am and I'm freaking the **** out right now.. does anyone have one and have pictures of it installed? Am I supposed to drill anything? This thing came with no instructions and the install docs on the website don't open and the video they have is highly unhelpful besides adding review content. I have a bolt that doesn't fit in any hole on the bracket and it doesn't even feel like it lines up (maybe 1/4" off after putting in the ball joint bolt with sleeve.

So on my old 96, it was a base model with AC only. I bought a CC servo, clock spring, and switch assembly from a JY, threw it in, and presto-whammo! CRUISE CONTROL! :)My 97 had cruise apparently (SLT), but the servo was missing..So I bought a servo, installed it, and wham.. wait.. nope, CC doesn't work..I've studied the wiring diagram, but as usual, nothing at the PCM matches..THere's a yellow/red wire at the brake switch and cc controller. neither gets power. judging by the wiring diagrams, there are wires not where they 'say' they should be at the PCM, but it's really hard for me to decipher, for some reason..Any suggestions or anything you guys may have encoun…

My heater blower on the 2001 got cleaned and lubed tonight and blows much better also no longer has the funny vibration sound. However, not blowing as well as my 2002 with half the miles, I'm wondering if there is a strategic spot to cut out the plenum housing for access for cleaning. I'm not well versed on parts but I believe to be able to clean the evaporative cooler? is that right? Would be great. funny... I always thought that was near the radiator The blower was a quarter full of pine needles as was the cowel under the windshield so I know there is more yet to clean. I want cut out for future access T.I.A.

Since I have finished my heater core I have an intermittent gurgle from the heater core area after shutdown. Its got to be air in the cooling system but surely it would be gone now? Is theyre a way to bleed the air out of the cooling system?
