Just finished installing my custom built auxiliary fuel tank in the bed of my truck. I didn't like the cost or the size's of most of the units I've seen. Wanted something that would fit under the rails and not take up too much bed space. A buddy of mine own a fab shop and makes some tanks for some Bio guys. What we came up with was a aluminum tank made form .100" sheet. Measures 48"W x 17"H x 12"L. capacity is a reasonable 41 gal. Got the rollover valve from Jegs, and picked up an aluminum vented filler neck and cap assembly from an aircraft supply house I found on-line. We installed two internal baffle plates to control fuel slosh. we also welded on an external tray and…

I'm missing my front wheel cover for my 1999 3500 dually and can't seem to find one anywhere on the web. Sites are full of after market, one piece wheel cover and lug center cap, but no OEM replacement. One local stealership wants $500 and another $380! Anybody got any suggestions?

I have a 1999 dodge ram 3500 and i have no trailer running lights, ive verified with other vehicals its not my trailer and even used a clamp and spike style test light. Nothing at the pin for running lights when i have my trucka light switch on. I even traces the loom back all the way to under the drivers door right at the ffront wheel well the wire that feeds my trailer plug is a orange striped black wire. I found the wire up by the wheel well and tested again with the test light and still nothing. Was hoping there would be power then id just run a new wire from there back. Anyways after the wire loom makes it to the engine bay it teea off to the fues panel, into the cab…

Hey guys, Long story short.. bought a Raptor 100 last year.. mounted it to the frame, but then never finished the install. Stock lift pump died recently, so I need to finish the install. Went to connect the fuel lines today and realized I need to mount the pump in a different location.. unbolted the brackets fine, but I also need to reposition the pump on the backplate (put the spacer in). When I attempted to unbolt the pump from the backplate, I realized the bolts are seized. Instead of being patient and giving it a good soaking of PB Blaster, I tried to force the issue and stripped the bolts. I have a feeling I'm SOL at this point.. I've tried mounting the…

Its time to fit the ride with some new tread so I thought I would get some input. Currently running 265/75/16 (stock). I know for certain I want a highway tread type tire. Some questions:1. Should I go back with stock size?2. What is the biggest size I can fit on the stock rim?3. Will I need a leveling kit with a bigger size? 4. Brands to consider? Anyone run the Chinese brand BCT?5. How much does a bigger size impact the speedo?

I read with interest the recent thread on AC repair http://forum.mopar1973man.com/threads/6080-A-C-lines, & it brought up issues which I believe I have. History: Evaporator failed & I had it replaced about 2006 Last year it stopped working, finding no leak I mistakenly assumed the freon had leaked out & suspected the Evap again. My nephew did a quick recharge & it seemed to work briefly. Soon after, it stopped working again, I took it to AC service. The guy is actually a very impressive backyard shop (zoning is all over him to not have customers cars in the yard in addition to his own vehicles & a race car). He repeatedly evaced & refilled, …

I just had my heater core,ac evap, and dash top replaced. My old ac evap was leaking so that was the main reason for all the work. Before ac work my center vent air temp would get about 33-34 degrees. My temps now after the work is with fan on high and outside temp at 92* the center vent will not get lower than 47-48*. With fan on low it gets up to 50*. The ac doesnt cycle alot like when it was low on 134a but the low side line going to compressor is iced up with all fan speeds but high. I checked low side pressure and it runs around 25 psi with fan on medium and it will have ice all the way to compressor with center vent temps at 47*. What if any problems does this look l…

I attempted to get an answer from Timken and National using one of those “GFYS” Contact Links forms companies hide behind. Still waiting…could be a non-work day for Beijing employee tasked with providing a response. I was taught Bearings and Races come as a set and are not to be mixed. Also, new bearings of unlike brands are not to be mixed, as tolerances and metal may not be the same between companies. All my purchases until now consisted of a box containing a Bearing and it’s Race. Has this changed? AZ sold me 2 National 15101 Bearings. I asked where it’s Races were and was told they are sold separately and then offered 2 Timken 15245 Races. …

so recently I've been towing my boat alot more since fishing season has picked up. my truck came equipped with the factory 7 pin trailer box on the hitch. I guess after many years of abuse my 7 pin has decided to crap out. In diggind around i found that on the drivers side frame rail right at where the hitch bolts on, there are 2 plugs one large square 4 pin, and a smaller flat 3 pin. the go directly to my 7 pin box. I've been searching high and low to see if i can find a new one to directly replace my factory one, but i have come up empty handed. ive tried most of my local bone yards, etrailer.com and ebay. NO luck:shrug:.i guess if i REALLY have to ill buy one and splic…

Hey folks the lower power port in my truck works well, however, the cigarette lighter (upper). Will often take 10 seconds or so to power an accessory like a USB charger, and sometimes will go out for a minute. Any thoughts on theories on low/ intermittent power from the cigarette lighter?

As the title states, I tried some LED headlights. I did a little research on what kind of LED will work in a housing designed for halogen bulbs. Long story short these are the type of bulb to use. According to what I read and the videos I watched the placement of the LED chips is important. I bought these bulbs off of Amazon for $39/pair. They're plug and play. Simple as changing a headlight bulb.lol So far I am happy with the results. I only had the opportunity to drive the truck to work at 3am to test. I believe I need to adjust them down. I didn't get flashed but there were only a few other cars on the road. Pic is a bit fuzzy but you can see …

I know you can adjust door hinges and such but I don't believe this is the case here. I have pics from down the side of the body bottom, middle and top of the door to show what I mean. Not sure how to go about adjusting this. Roll window down, put a wood block in the door and push on the top portion only?

long time looker, first time poster. Kinda at my wits end. Installed an air dog 150 a couple months ago. The wiring in the truck from the previous owner was kinda messed up but I finally figured out the wires for the fuel pump to kick it on. So I've checked those and everything else, fuse, relay and grounds. And it won't kick on when I turn the key on. Truck runs but seems like it's getting lack of fuel. Especially on start up. Idles up and down and up and down. And I just changed the filters so I know that has nothing to do with it. Lights have also been flickering at night and voltage jumping around alittle, not sure if that's related. But any help would be appreciated.
