Well guys, I know the majority of you prefer to level your truck by hooking up a trailer or getting a bed full of stuff. For some, that doesn't cut it. I'm a bit in between, as I don't mind the rake, but I don't like the full stock rake. Anyways, Timbrens are what I decided to go with mainly for the simplistic concept. Took all of 8 bolts to unintall the old bump stops and put the new Timbrens in their place. This shows the comprison without the extra 1in spacer Timbren supplies as well. I did end up installing that as well. Installed, kinda hard to see. Measurements were ta…

Hey all, I have a 2001 that already has 2.5" leveling kit from previous owner, and I installed a 'Dodge Off Road adjustable track bar. My suspension is currently shot and I'm looking at upgrading it with the Carli starter kit. The kit recommends an adjustable track bar which I already have, extended sway bar end links which are affordable at $200, and extended control arms which are not affordable / way over priced for what they are IMO at $700. From what I understand the track bar moves the axle back to the passenger side where it should be, however I don't think I did that properly upon install. I just put it on tightened it and took it to firestone for an alignment, id…

http://dodgeram.info/2001/towing-charts.html This chart is saying max payload for my 01 long bed 2500 is right around 3,000lbs. I don't have time to drive an hour to steal my buddies dump trailer and was just going to put 2 tons of stone in the back of my truck. I'm debating just putting 1 ton in the back to be safe, since having my rear end rebuilt not too long ago. Any input? When I first got the truck I had 2 tons of stone dust in the back no issues, but that was pre rebuild. Gravel pit is less than 10 miles from my house.

I have a 96 Ram, one with the crappy paint job. I'm going to be repainting it soon and have some questions about the plastic trim pieces on top of the cab. Are you able to remove these pieces without breaking them so the can be reused? And if so do they just pull off? Can't find them in the LMC catalog or I would just replace them. Thanks, Bob

OK I've been messing with this blinker issue for a little bit now, my drivers side front turn signal won't blink, but the running light works. I've swapped blinker relays, along with the turn signal actuator, and cleaned my grounds. Wtf am I missing?

Ok so if I am going to tear into the suspension on my 350k mile truck, I want to improve it as much as possible.. In my old OBS ford that mean at least doing an RSk, etc.... Is there anything I can do for this truck for tremendous improvement? It wouldn't bother me if it made it sit a little lower (modern height 4x4 dually trucks sit pretty low now) Thoughts?

Just bought a 12 valve. First few things acting funny so far are the fuel gage. When i top the truck off it stays on full and throughout the trip drops to E and comes back up. 2nd thing, when driving with the AC on, if i pull into a fuel station and go to put it in park from drive she sometimes stalls. Any help much apprecited.

After driving around my 1/2 ton for so long, the dodge brakes just don't compare. Has anyone tried a more aggressive pad? Just got my truck back from the shop, brake system is fine, system was flushed and bled. I ran EBC greenstuff when I first got the truck, they grabbed great unloaded, once hot and loaded with weight, those ceramics wouldn't hold. Now I have NAPA semi metallic, they work but I want more. Not worried about burning up my front rotors as long as my truck stops better. Exhaust brake is out of the question and my 16" rims and tires have plenty of life so 3rd gen brake upgrade is out too. Looking at performance frictions

Everything was working fine. The blower motor has only run on high for a year or so. My blower motor started making a funny noise like the squirrel cage was rubbing against something. So I pull the blower and disconnect the electrical plug and pull the resistor also while I am down there. The resistor just need a spot soldered back which I did. The blower motor has like a rats nest of insulation in the squirrel cage. I did reach up thru the blower housing and feel around to see if there was any other junk up in there and there wasn't. I put everything back together and the blower motor blows on all speeds now and the noise in the blower motor is gone everything is great …

I was walking out to my truck and noticed the frame was wet with oil in the driver side wheel well. Drove my truck home and found that it was leaking PS fluid from the fitting on the steel line that goes from the side of the hydroboost to the steering gear PS hose. I loosened the fitting that connects to the hydroboost thinking I just needed to replace the o-ring but found the idiot that owned my truck before me cross threaded the fitting into the hydro boost and messed the threads up on both the hydroboost and steel line. Since I drive this truck long distances I already got a new hydroboost (original one to the truck, replaced to be safe) but I cant find the line I need…

Have an interesting issue that has become present over the last couple of weeks. So this only happens with low beam. They either will not come on or flicker once and go off. As soon as you trigger the high beam. All is fine. Just for giggles I swapped in a set of halogen bulbs, still does it. Then a set of pnp hids with a dual relay harness. Same deal. I am thinking a power feed issue with either the head lamp switch orrrr multifunction switch. My moneys on the multifunction switch.

Alright guys, recently got a set of 4th gen wheels that'll be going on the truck soon with 285's. I really like the way my truck sits now unloaded, just wanting the smaller tires. My main question is with the 2in level up front the truck sits/looks really good and since I'm not typically hooked up to a trailer this is what I prefer. However, I don't really like the truck to squat when I do hook up. I know I know, best of both worlds! Here's my truck with 1600lbs of concrete in the back, not loaded with weight distribution in mind so the majority is at the rear axle or further back towards the tail gate. It sat on the over…

Bought some McQuiers' plastic trim and dashboard restorer and did the black plastic on one outside mirror and then did the other mirror using Virgin Olive oil. Let it sit for a few days in the rain and sun. Olive oil out performs the McQuires by around three to one (my estimation). Even the first day revealed olive oil to do far better. It's been a week now and the olive oil is still showing the plastic like new. Anyhow it works great. You will notice the white milky, somewhat chalky look on black door trim and plastic handles will disappear in a flash. A bit oily at first, wait about a day and it tones down to a nice look. So far seems to last. Cu…

Played tag with a telephone pole. Light grazing. However front mount for rad support is bent along with some tweaked areas around it. Debating on getting it straightened or cut it off and build bumper mounts. What would be the best way repair it. Gonna try to attach pics.

What (besides my horrible leveling block, worn out shocks, 35" rock hard tires) is causing the interior squeaks that sound like a bird chirping? Seems like its on both sides of the cab, definitely more than one isolated location. any ideas?
