I just want to attempt to kill off some Internet myths again. Cleaning IAT sensor WILL NOT improve engine performance or fix any engine problems. This right here is an IAT sensor for 98.5 to 02 Dodge Cummins 24V engine. This sensor has about 50k miles of gunk on it. This has ZERO impact on the sensor ability to read air temperature in the manifold. Cleaning the sensor will do nothing for performance or MPG. The way to check the IAT sensor for problems is with a live data tool like OBDLink, ScanGauge II or even the Quadzilla Adrenaline. Now at first key on of the day take note of the coolant and the IAT temperatures. They should match if they do no…

So: I can't tow (8000lb camper) in OD and I"m ok with that (low rpms due to 3.55 and 35" tires lol) Cruising in 3rd at lower rpms (1700-1900 on gravel roads) is also a bit warm too on the egt side. Question: The Quad EGT reads a 100ish deg lower than my glowshift max tow gauge around 900+ deg, some places I get the max tow to 1200 but Quad is showing 1100... Which should I trust? Both probes are side by each in the manifold. Water temp sits great at 195 and Oil temp stays at 208 on the quad. Towing boost also seams low- rarely over 17psi cruising (19-2100rpm). The motor is studded with 425's, 62 71 12 (I think) DPS turbo that's like 13/14 years old, 150h…

i got pro comp ultra lite gauges boost and EGT. the boost likes to flicker a lot when boost numbers are higher and the egt works fine for a while then it starts to flicker all over and sometimes quit. I had the same problem with the last pro comp ultra lite gauges I had. Bought these bran new like 6 months ago really starting to tick me off auto meter suppost to be good stuff I had better luck with my glow shift. So im wondering am I the only one or is this just a crappy gauge selection. The EGT worked flawless for first month. Boost always been all over.

I have been getting diesel from my coop and noticed the fuel is clear. What is this? Being in the south I have no experience with winter fuel, is this winter fuel or cheap crap fuel.

Hey guys, I been looking into that whole high idle fooler setup that is on here. I tested my IAT sensor today with a 100k Ohm resistor and it did not kick a HI/3cyl on. So I take it I need the ecm flashed. If anyone lives near me in the pacific northwest and has a smarty, I would love to pay you a nominal fee for your services to activate it and calibrate my speedo for my tire size!I seen that someone on here has mad a kit setup and sells it, but I dunno if this is something that can be used to help with MPG's too? I seen moparman have a thread way back about how he was fooling around with the resistance on the IAT to fool the ecm to inject less fuel for more mpgs. Did no…

Do we have an updated chart if fluids that reflect improvements since our trucks were built? Like my owners manual from 2001 recommends ATF+3. And it seems that ATF+4 is now recommend. Be nice to have a consolidated chart for all fluids that reflect current advances in fluid technology.

Doing some interior work to my truck and relocating my FP gauge to on top of the dash. Next to my BD X-monitor sits. Well actually I am going to try my hand and making a fiberglass pod and partially recess it into the dash. Since I am doing this, I like to plan ahead. So I will have the bd x monitor(boost, egt, tranny temp), and my FP gauge for additionals thinknig a 2nd boost gauge(for the twins later on), to read between the turbo stages, a dual airtemp gauge before and after the intercooler, and a diff temp gauge. After some searching thinking about putting a scangauge in there. instead but what other "non required" gauges do you guys run. Might try to go fo…

Just out of curiosity, would anything bad happen if you set the timing statically on the Quadzilla throughout the rpm bands? I'm wondering what would happen or if the 24v would then act like a 12v.

need a new one I think, mine no longer squirts... Thinking about just gutting the one that is on there and adding some other type of pump maybe? Just wondering about the type of pump to get? Any pump that will pump water will work great I think, as long as it has threaded fittings I could adapt to 1/4" male barbed for the washer fluid line. Any ideas?? What is the max amount of amperage pump I could use before I would overload the fuse for the washer pump?
