Idea's on what this was for? Curious if a local dealer could lookup my VIN and find out what was done. I'm currently searching the TSB's on http://dodgeram.info/ Number on the bottom left is the Mopar part number for the label itself. This is a California truck.

OK if anyone has been following the VW emissions thread you know wifes car is getting bought back so the wife wants an SUV. Looking for recommendations as we have never owned one. She has a few things she would like. 1 - AWD 2 - heated leather 3 - moon roof or sun roof. 4 - she wants it to have a bit of pep to it yet get 25+ mpg I just lol at that one. 5 - 30k max price Other than drive by on the lots we eliminated the VW Tiguan as the best milage is 23 on the spec sheets and is also the smallest and quite ugly. We both like the looks and mileage of the Nissan Rogue, the reviews are pretty good but they all say it is a…

Just pulled into the drive way from a week at work. The wife calls me right when I pull of the interstate. Wants to know when I am getting home. Tell her I am 10 minutes away. Lets me know my 2 grand daughters are here and a couple of other pleasantries and the says "WE NEED TO TALK". I am going in now. Keep me in your thoughts and I hope I dont need any prayers.

Thought you might like this. It's just sweet!! MM When I was a young boy, my father had one of the first telephones in our neighborhood. I remember the polished, old case fastened to the wall. I was too little to reach the telephone, but used to listen with fascination when my mother talked to it. Then I discovered that somewhere inside the wonderful device lived an amazing person. Her name was "Information Please" and there was nothing she did not know. Information Please could supply anyone's number and the correct time. My personal experience with the genie-in-a-bottle came one day while my mother was visiting a neighbor. Amusing myself at the to…

Affected VW products reportedly are programed to respond to emmisions testing with different settings than actual road use which are above the emmisions limits. Kind of like turning off a chip. VW has ordered a stop sales order until a fix is found... units on the road are still legal to drive, for now.

I had a thread on this subject at one time but it is so old now is been archived and it won't let me resurrect it. At the time i had some issues with the truck but they should be fixed now. I also had replaced my batteries as they were still giving me problems. It may be because of the issues i had. So i have new batteries, but it seems like they are still getting drained. I'm thinking the recent cold sub Zero weather has something to do with it. I was going to purchase a minder, tender but didn't know which one to get. Amperage wise i mean... i can get the Jr tender but it's .75a. So is that enough to maintain a float in two large b…

Well gang... Got home last night from my Boise trip and was getting MoparMom across the ice and I could hear water running. My ear homed in on it as I walked up the front porch to the main house. After getting MoparMom in the house I went back down to the guest house to find the water leaking back into the house again. (All kinds of nasty words inserted here) So this morning I called a friend up and been moving furniture from the guest house to the main house garage and getting the carpet lifted somewhat to get it to start drying out. Fans going and heat on. Rather frustrating to have new carpet less than a year old and now been soaked twice in the same year. …

This situation going on involving Oroville Dam is not a joking matter. I feel for all those poor people that live below the dam and those who have been forced out of their homes for the emergency evacuations. I have been to the dam during my travels to great fishing lakes in the area and can say it is quite a large body of water. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oroville_Dam http://www.cnn.com/2017/02/12/us/california-oroville-dam-failure/index.html

I’ve learned to have some paper towels handy anytime I’m working under the hood. I’m in process of re-installing my Airdog fuel pump, going thru lots of diesel soaked paper towels. After wiping up some diesel I toss them in pick up bed. Instead of making a trip to trash can every time. I have a squirrel that doesn't touch regular paper towels and only carts away the ones with diesel on them. He climbs up a tree where his nest is and then comes down the tree empty. He must be insulating his nest to get that fine aroma of diesel. I have no idea why, just think it is sort of odd?

Plowing with the 4 Wheeler was manageable last year, but less than ideal. I could typically plow the drive out in about an hour or so, depending on conditions. But I'm a consumer of DR power equipment and gave grown fond to them. They're offering a plow you can use on a vehicle called the redi plow. I like the concept of it and is priced well. I doubt i would consider it in a commercial application, but i think it would serve me well with what im demanding. It's a lightweight plow and can be quickly disconnected from the vehicle when necessary. It's a floating blade design. Last year, because i live off the county road on private, its not maintai…
