My Multiple Sclerosis has progressed... about all MS is progressive... and I am 13 years into the Secondary Phase. This is all background. Both legs are affected, the left side is nearly non-functional & the left arm too. I despite my best efforts, I've had falls... I used to bounce back up... then I had to work to get up... A couple of days ago, I fell off the low stool trying to put a belt on the lawn tractor. I really tried but in the end, I had to use my cell to get help. I'm afraid my right (good) knee may have been injured (ACL is tender). I have to climb stairs with my right leg (and right arm strength)... and the same to get onto my truck step…

Hey guys and gals, I have been asked to help get a tractor running again. It is a 2007 JD 6430. The problem started with what is believed to be bad fuel. It had a steady miss and was a bit harder to start. We drained all the fuel and refilled with good fuel, and changed the filters. It started, but had the miss. It progressively got harder and harder to start. Finally it got to where it was backed into a shed to hook up the baler and it quit. Since that time it has not even fired on one cylinder. Another guy started on it and at this time it has had a new transfer pump (think lift pump) and all new fuel lines (the old ones leaked slightly). The closest John Deere dealer i…

So, I love old cars. I ran across the suit site 365daysofa.com where a guy documents his year of using a Ford Model A as his only source of transportation. I may be getting old, in my early 30s, haha. But I got really tired of driving my 72 Challenger daily a few years back... granted, the challenger didn't have a heater, air, or stereo at the time. Nevertheless, I love driving modern cars. I thought I learned my lesson in daily driving the hotel rod e body, but I have never driven an old 20s or 30s flat head daily. I kinda want to check it of my automotive "bucket list" someday. Anybody have much experience with these ancient cars... or have similar poor …

Sorry gang... I hate delaying the site update but... I've got called out to look at a job last night. After meeting with the owner of the truck and doing some basic diagnostic I had to condemn a CR engine Cummins. For sure got piston damage in one hole. You can hear the loss of compression during cranking. Needless to say after talking awhile I found out he's got 4 trucks in his fleet and looking for a diesel mechanic. He's been hunting around the valley for diesel mechanics and my name was brought up more than once. So I ended up with the job. So I've now got a CR engine to pull out and replace. I've also got a 12V 1995 Dodge to go straighten out after a hotrod shop …

Of offering a sale when half of what you sell is excluded from being priced lower than what the product supplier sets? Takes good ol competition out of the equation. Here is what I found while playing around on a vendors site offering a 10% off sale, go to check out and 2 of the 3 things in my cart are excluded from being priced lower. read the fine print and deleted my order........ Below is a copy and paste of the fine print and the co's that do not allow competition. Coupon Codes *Due to manufacturer restrictions percentage off discount codes exclude the following: AEM, Airaid, Applied Performance Products, American Force, Amsoil, ATS, Bedrug, Bestop, Boste…

Ok, so I heard y'all mention wanting photos and stuff on cutting open filters and checking for materials/debris inside. So, I thought I would put together a little how to for everyone. So, here is my filter cutter and an old knife that I use to cut out the pleats of the filter. I know it's not a diesel filter, but it will suffice for this how to, I place the filter in a vise to keep it stable while I am using the cutter. I remove the o-ring from the oil filter. I do this because it interferes with the cutting tool and has a tendency to roll up and get in the way. I place the cutter on top of the filter and tighten it until it touches the filter, th…

In reference to another post here recently on the site about apples to oranges, this story fits the theme to a tee. Not sure how or why they even thought this to be an equal comparison. http://www.autoguide.com/car-comparisons/2015-ford-f-150-2-7l-ecoboost-vs-ram-1500-ecodiesel

Sorry I've been absent for a while. Guess I was just lazy... I'm computer dumb, and fought adblock for a while, but finally figured it out, but I was hanging out on Cummins Forum too, and never took the time to hop over here. I missed the family-friendly atmosphere.
