How do you keep the bugs out of your radiator ?
Hmmm... maybe that's why The Beast is straight piped 4 inch. Then Thor I'll be looking for a good 4 inch exhaust with muffler. I've gotta put a muzzle on this one. Mainly where I work I've gotta be quiet.

Thinking about getting a 3rd gen.
I'm now in the 3rd Gen family. I've got an 2006 Dodge 3500. A bit nicer truck but they are more expensive to repair. if doing any 3rd gen up make sure to find out how many miles on the injectors. 100k to 150k they are done. If OE are still in the truck you have roughly 2,500 for a set of stock injectors. I just sent the injector cores back on 2015 Ram I just done the swap that had 188k and plugging up the DPF.

I just power wash the bugs off no screen used. Be aware any metal screen can eat the cooler and tubing.

Boeing 747 in flight burns ~5 GALLONS of JET A FUEL in ONE MILE (5280 feet is a mile). Again just remember even diesel vehicles don't even burn that much fuel that fast. Just simple math here if your traveling 20 miles for a gallon of diesel and the flying a Boeing 747 is going to burn 100 gallons in 20 miles. that is 100 times more fuel being burnt compared to the diesel truck this means there is 100 times more CO2 and CO. So how is all the gasoline and diesel vehicles responsible for global warming? Now think about all the planes (private jets, passenger planes, Amazon, UPS, USPS, fire operations, etc.) In Idaho right now there is a full on shortage of JET A fuel now. With all the planes and helicopters flying for fire efforts they are burning up all the fuel here locally. Which I've been seeing this info of the local news. As for me seeing $4.00 plus now for fuel. If you find me on the highway you WILL NOT find me doing speed limit any longer. I'll get up earlier and get going early and get to work on time but reduce the fuel consumption. Been here before and no problem I know how to pull 27.2 MPG with "The Beast". Been there and done that...

Ummm... You wonder why we have GLOBAL WARMING. The CO2, smoke, particulate matter is making all the way to you now so did the Gov't forget that WILDFIRES create CARBON DIOXIDE and CARBON MONOXIDE. The gov't is going to charge us for carbon taxes. How about we all start charging the Federal Government Carbon Taxes for all the wildfires burning every day. Then charge the federal government for all the jets travel. Now that would be fair point the finger at the real problem. Let's start with a look at the most famous of jets, the Boeing 747. The Boeing website states that this model, with a gas tank capacity of 63,500 gallons, may burn five gallons of jet fuel per mile of flight.

In my medication-set. I've got multi-vitamins, Vitamin D, Fish Oil, and even an Aspirin. The last time I was down with even the simple cold was nearly 4 years ago. Don't get me wrong I get up in the morning sneeze several time, drippy nose etc. till a allergy pill in me. No biggy. I even take a hawthorne berry 520mg for blood pressure. 90% of the time I'm working outside in the sun so I get plenty of vitamin D. Since I get up at 5:30am to roll to work most days I don't get much for breakfast (not really hungry) but by the time I get back home I typically do eat a good meal. Soon as the weather cools the times will get later in the morning which is fine too. The biggy for me is shutting down early enough for rest. I'm going to say sorry to some that have been trying to call me after 5pm. My cellphone is set up for DO NOT DISTURB. From 5pm on to 6am the next morning. I hated to do this but I need to get rest and down time too. Like last night a close friend called up about the Chevy project and wanted my thoughts. Fine but I didn't get back till 9pm that night. Take it from me you need good quality rest no matter what to help with stress and keeping your energy up to fight off illness.

Random charging and not charging.
As for the charging system I've made a short down the road to a neighbors place and jump started there Honda Van and brought the van to the house. Then walked back and got the truck no problem charging at 13.9 volts this morning. As for warning labels... Just the last few I remember... Social media bringing out the stupid people. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consumption_of_Tide_Pods https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cinnamon_challenge just Google it there is plenty of "stupid sheeple"...

Random charging and not charging.
I know the difference between the sharp end of a knife or chainsaw. I say remove all warning labels and let natural selection to kick in and deal with foolish ones.

Random charging and not charging.
The best I can say in the ASD relay either had bad contacts inside or the plug in the PDC was a bit corroded from moisture and standing a while. I'm going to be working on getting the pine pitch of the windshield and waxing the paint up. Gotta make it shine again and look good. Finally got my wish a good 2006 Dodge for a work truck and then retire the 2002 to the weekend warrior hauling trailers (wood haul, RV or both!) Just talking to another buddy about getting firewood this weekend I might get super smart and haul the RV up the mountain near the spot and just camp out while wood hauling. Be right in the area then then just truck the pile home back and forth. Be able to get up early and start cutting quicker in the cool of the morning.

Chevy Sonoma 500 HP build
Waiting awhile... My buddy is doing this with an extra funds he has. So like we are waiting for exhaust headers, carburetor, electric water pump, electric fans for the aluminum radiator. Still got to have a driveshaft made for this truck. But we've been working on it after work in the evenings.

Chevy Sonoma 500 HP build
Just a bit of fun... I was talking to my buddy last night and we are talking about spots to do a bit of drag racing. There is a few of us gathering up and starting to look at the thought of street racing for a bit of weekend fun. Find an quiet road somewhere and do a few 1/4 mile or 1/8 mile runs. Bring out the beast and run against this little Chevy might be a handful. But well see.

Amen brother. I made to 50 years old by thinking with my own mind. I've might got another 20 to 30 years left on me. I'm sure not going to shorten my life with an unknown or unproven drug. I'm not going to diminish my energy or abilities with a drug that might damage my heart muscle, or shorten my life. Just think we have a country that is have a war on drugs. Not to side step the conversation but just look at the prohibition of Cannabis and how the entire world shut down a medically good drug Made cannabis illegal and kept the chemo going for cancer treatments. Remember I'm a cancer survivor not because I listen to my doctor and took chemo and radiation but used my own mind and chose to use cannabis to save me from cancer. This is just one great example in my life that I found out that feds are keeping cannabis illegal because big pharma is making money on the dumb people willing to do "anything" to survive cancer including dying form the treatment. Just think Dec 2019 I was diagnosed with bladder and cancer and by Jun 2020 I was completely clean. (Nothing found in 2 OR visits). As for COVID there is not enough data or facts out there for anyone to make a good choice. To much polluted information just like @Threadzypointed out there to get sheeple to come in and take there shots. Hmm... Something about the good old Germans that where gassing Jews. Seems too much like old times over again giving shots to people that might live or die from said shot. Population control? Yes I think outside the box... Right now my family requires me to stay health and working to keeping the bills paid. I go down everyone goes down with me.

Dead truck
Little secret all main computer ground (factory wiring) are in the passenger side terminal. Now all the other stuff like ABS, lights, etc are grounded to the body either near the headlight on the driver side. I've seen a few near the fender too. Check out the ground map on the 99 Dodge map will give clues to where your grounds might be.

Head Leak
Since my gear case is weeping behind the case and below the VP44. I pull the front cover off and tighten all the bolts I could reach and slowed the weep to near nothing. The only thing it cost was a tube a grey RTV silicone and a front crank seal. Dig in and clean the block and gear case good before starting. Then do a front cover reseal and while open just tight everything up the best you can.

Yeah FDA Approved vaccines. COVID vaccines are NOT FDA approved yet! I'm not going to be a test subject. They barely released the vaccine less than 1 year. Are you willing to let medical science test drugs and vaccines on your body? No I said the fly...

Chevy Sonoma 500 HP build
I've got a friend just down the road from me with a Chevy Sonoma truck. We pulled the factory 6 cylinder out now stuffing a 500 HP Chevy 350 V8 in this body. We are in the stages of fitting the engine and transmission last night. We had to cut the cross member a bit to fit the 7 quart oil pan in there. It going to be a tight fit but one hell of a quick truck. Little two wheel drive Chevy Truck super light. Chevy 350 CID... Got lots to do yet. Still got to mate up the transmission after we get a torque converter. We got custom exhaust headers coming. We've got a built TH400 trans going behind this. Yup I was there working on this beast.

Summer time heat
I always love the guys with the desire to have 35 to 37 inch tires without any planning. When I do find them I always challenge for race and typically win. What good is it to go to the gym for leg day if your shoes are both tied together at the track? You still lose the race. When I might have a mere 30 inch tire (3.69:1 ratio) but product more power and torque to the ground that anyone with 35 to 37 inch tires with 3.55 gears which is 3.00:1 final ratio for 37 inch tire. Then flip it the other way those same guys with 35 to 37 inch tires will be parking there trucks because low teens MPG. (12 to 14 MPG) and the price of diesel heading past 4.00 a gallon. McCall ID is 4.109 a gallon today at Maverik. I'll go back to hypermiling and still twist out 20 plus MPG. Physics simply states you can add more spinning mass and gain power and torque. The bigger mass spinning on the axles will take a percentage of power and turn it into heat. (axle oil, tires, etc.). Since I don't have all the spinning mass I gain more for the power output and the MPG's too! I'm like that skinny buff fighter that just beats everyone. David and Goliath who took down the giant with a slingshot. Hmmm...

Hot water heater pilot light issue
Is it electric ignition? (just for info value...) Like my water heater is electric ignition and the ignition probe is used for whats called Flame Rectification. The ignition module can sense if there is flame contact with the ignition probe and it will continue burning. In my case I've got to clean that tip of the igniter of rust and it will continue to burn. Is if old school match light? The themocouple has to have to have good contact with the main valve assembly to release the fuel valve. It could be a main valve issue since you replaced the thermocouple. But double check the connection to the main valve. If no love you might need a main valve. It would help to know what manufacture of water heater too. Atwood, etc. Example... https://www.amazon.com/Atwood-91602-Control-Valve-Thermostat/dp/B002UC18HU/

Actually the common flu virus there few strain I heard are no longer with us wearing masks. As for you @Silverwolf2691you already are immune to the COVID-19 because you had it. I'm not sure about new strains of COVID-19. As for out west here the COVID numbers are low from the extreme heat. I'm just waiting for the cooler weather to come and BAM get COVID rolling all over get with shut downs and mask wearing again coming is my feeling. We got to a low of 60F and now is 61F this morning it will creep up to the mid 90s for sure today. Had just a small touch of rain here not enough to slow fires but got some rain and humidity. As for the power problem in Cally... That is plain stupid don't charge your car and not turn on your A/C till 80F are you serious? All those crazy democRATS wanted electric cars and less fossil fuel now they don't have any cars again because you can charge the battery? Personally I'll just keep my diesel truck and tune it back for high MPG being its $4.00 a gallon for diesel. Lots of hyper inflation. Just like I hit the NAPA store for just engine oil 15w-40 and there is nothing in stock I had to order 10 gallons of oil and wait a day for it to show up. No matter how you look at it we will always need petroleum products what are you going to lube your axles with? How about bearings for axles your going to need grease. Even electric cars are going to need lubricants. You'll still have people up here burning heating oil for heat. Still a petroleum product (red dye diesel more or less). Still I got to say the biggest polluter is these forest fires that flood the valley here with smoke for months. Now tell me that a petroleum power vehicle can compete with all these fires. Nope 1 forest fire create more CO2 pollution in a mere hour than all the vehicles in Idaho could in 1 day!

Personally... Global warm is caused from all the forest fires which pollute more than my truck will in it entire life time. Don't give me the diesels are the cause crap. All I got to do is look out my window and see all the smoke and smell the smoke every morning.

Random charging and not charging.
So after lunch I went out and started it up and no charging. I remember the error code for the ASD relay so I swapped with the ASD relay it started charging. Weird. Drove 30 miles to Riggins and back stopped at few friends and came home. No issues.
