Trying to decide on what tires to buy...
I have TransForce HT's and I like them much better than the Dayton timberlines I had before. Real quiet and wearing quite well with all the towing and the occasional burnout. The con would be snow and mud are a no-go. But I am on pavement 99.9% of the time. Can be a little squirrely in the rain if I am in hurry and am getting on it. I am hoping to get 45k out of them. I have around 30k now. Overall I will be buying another set when these are done.

Tractors
x2 on craigslist. There is always something on there. Otherwise checkout the implement dealers around the area they always have trade-ins on the lot. My friend rents a compact tractor once a year to do feed plots from a local guy who is a dealer for a few brands. I drive past his shop on my way to work and he always has a few new ones, demos and used stuff. What kind of tractor are you looking for? Row crop, utility, compact, new, old?

Possible lift pump fix teaser
My next project is a going to be a fuelab lift pump. I have been reading as much as I can find on the forums(which isn't much). I like the 100's price, but the 200 has the air separator too. Not sure if that is needed, but that is the only other big difference besides the GPH. Is that going on your truck or someone else's?

My OBA system install (including exhaust brake & air horns)
Very nice write up. You will like the brake. After you get a couple hundred miles on it check the v-band clamp. I was able to get another 2 almost 3 turns tighter. I like your air gauge you install. I have one on order and is suppose to be here any day. I want to install a tee in the tank and install the sensor and put in a valve to drain water. One other thing I am going to install on my brake is a breather relocation kit, which comes with a fitting and a hose to move the cylinder breather to a dry area. The brown truck dropped it off yesterday. Edit: Double spaced on accident.

What to do w/ 30 gal. of Waste engine Oil?
The o'rielly near me takes it for free along with the filters. The other place I go is the repair shop down the road from me. He uses it for heating the shop. Since I bring him oil he also takes any anti-freeze I have and disposes of it for free. It's a win-win for me.

Free Floating Manual Hubs
With the Spyntec kit, on one of the pages it gives you all the part numbers from the manufacturer. They used Timken, Chicago Rawhide, and Spicer parts with Dorman studs. The instructions are sometimes a little hard to follow, but they give you a nice exploded view.

Free Floating Manual Hubs
Another thing is the Spyntec kit fits '00 up to the 4th gens. Not sure if they go to current year, but when installed mine it was up to the '12s I think. I know it fits all 3rd gens, just haven't kept up with the latest 4th gens. So you can install the same kit on it if you decide to upgrade to a newer truck.

Free Floating Manual Hubs
I have the Spyntec shorty kit. I saw a little mileage increase as a result. You should see more since you have a '02 non cad axle. The only special tool I had to buy was a spindle nut socket. I bought it at autozone. A good torque wrench is needed, I used one rated to 250 ft. lbs. The install isn't bad, just time consuming. I put in new u joints right away too. The biggest thing I noticed is better steering. Less feedback coming through the wheel on bumpy roads. Also 2 low is great, I use it often with trailers. The mile markers work good and are easy to engage. Overall I am happy with the kit and don't miss the unit bearings at all.

sealing battery connectors
I used some of those on my truck and I soldered them to avoid corrosion issues. Worked good, but needed a propane torch to do it.

Guage installation
The Isspro are a good brand, I installed a triple pillar last night in a friend's truck. You will need a snubber for the fuel pressure sender. I like to wrap the wires every 6 inches or so with a few rounds of electrical tape. This way when you run them in the cab it is easier to identify which sensor is which and it is not such a mess. A good 1/8 NPT is critical, last night we bought a new one just because we wanted a new one with good sharp cutters. On my 2000 the dimmer circuit on headlight switch is a tan wire and I tapped the cig lighter for power. Heres a link to Mopars gauges. http://articles.mopar1973man.com/general-cummins/38-interior/105-gauges

Chainsaw sharpener..
I had the same problem, I wasn't consistent from tooth to tooth. I do hand file the depth gauges when it needs to be done. I also make a little cash by sharpening other peoples chains. When I go out to cut I bring along a few extra chains for all the saws. A cheat sheet with the saw chain angles is handy to have.

Chainsaw sharpener..
I just looked at them and they raised the price. Here's a link to what I have. http://www.fleetfarm.com/detail/timber-tuff-electric-chainsaw-sharpener/0000000004449

Chainsaw sharpener..
I have the one you have pictured on the top and used the one like the picture below. Both work fine. I paid $100 for mine.(Fleet Farm). Different brand and paint but the exact same thing, right down to the knobs. I love it, it works great for what I have to do. I can sharpen a 25 inch bar-chain in about 10 minutes. Could be done faster, but I am picky.

start/no start I thingk it has a mind of its own...
Do the autos have a switch on the shifter that prevents it from starting unless it is in park or neutral? The reason I ask is we have tractors with switch's that will not allow it to start unless it is in park and/or neutral. As they get older sometimes you need to wiggle the shifter to start it.

PacBrake question
I installed a Isspro 100 psi EV2 exhaust backpressure gauge(PN. R17155). My drive pressure is a little over 1 to 1. It read 5 psi backpressure to 4 psi of boost. Quite happy with that. The brake works better than I thought it holds 60 psi until 1600 rpms then falls down to 25 at idle. Holds around 45 to 50 until 1000 rpms. The Lazarsmith TIP kit is very nice. I will have to get a longer EGT probe because this one doesn't reach down far enough to accurately obtain a reading. Any suggestions.... Edit 3-14-14 Looked around for a longer EGT probe and could not find one. I bought the one Lazersmith sells on their site. Kinda spendy, but it is made especially for the TIP kit. So if you buy the kit, buy the probe right away and be done.

High Idle Kit Is Here
I cut them into 1/2" segments.

I Want!
That looks nice W&F that has to run over 2k easy. I don't have problem working under hood. I agree it is nice platform to work from and tool tray. Now since I have onboard air, air horns are tempting. That would be my deer whistle.

Air Dog Ii 165...yay Or Nay?
I have been watching fuelab since they came out and I haven't seen any problems posted. Everyone who has one likes them it seems. It is on the my list of upgrades and I think I am going to pull the trigger soon. I like the idea of a wet brushless motor.

I Want!
Not sure if that question is for CTD or me? But mine weighs somewhere in the 240 range. Had to use an engine hoist for mock and the installation.

Any Suggestions On An Aftermarket Fuel Filter
I am not quite sure on how they do it. The one we were looking at doesn't have a heater and installs between the factory canister and CP3. You have me curious now I will have to take another look.

I Want!
Thank you Dripley, it turned out better than I thought. I wanted it for protection first and foremost. I am still trying to get my insurance lady to give me better rate since deer are not as big of problem anymore.

I Want!
I wonder how thick the aluminum is? It looks nice, I like the ones with polished finish and no lower rake. My buddy has a ranch hand, it is built pretty well and looks nice. I always thought the hoops that go around by the headlights were not as beefy as they should be. He still said mine is heavier built. The thinnest thickness on it is 1/4". I would hate to hit something without it. With the flat stock on top laying across it and on top on the engine is quite comfortable. Last time I did this to get at the ECM installing the PacBrake spent an hour during that, it wasn't fun getting back up.

When Will The First *** Dodge/cummins Owner Come Out?
I wasn't trying to be @$$, just meant watching the news in general raises my blood pressure. My sis has *** friends and I have no problem with any of them. We don't talk about that and we respect each other. Everything is ok between us. I respect other peoples views, beliefs and what have you, all I ask is you respect mine.

When Will The First *** Dodge/cummins Owner Come Out?
It took me a while to figure out what you meant. Yes, the liberal media makes me want to throw up on a daily basis when I watch the news. I don't care if you are straight or not, but don't push it off on everyone else and I will do the same. There are bigger problems in the world that are pushed to back burner.
