  3. I'm assuming that the comp is on? If so what power level? I had a similar issue with my edge comp when i first hooked it up with my stealth plate. I didn't tighten the allen screw tight enough to make a good contact with the terminal and i was set on 5x5 with the comp. I tried all the settings and it didn't change anything till i tightened the allen screw. I would suggest turning the edge box off and try it again see if the truck acts normal. I'm not real sure if you what kind of power you will get out of the comp with out the tap though.

  5. I run an Airdog 150 on my truck. I have replaced the motor 6 times in the past 2 yrs. It's not hard if you send in your warranty card its just that they don't care that there product is broken. Thank fully they do warranty the pumps and every time I have called they send me a new one. After the last event I tore the old gear motor apart and repaired the o-ring and front seal my self so I have a spare on had at all times. I have heard that they are starting to charge people $150-$200 for an upgraded pump after you already spent $600...   7. we have 2 early 04's that have had the injectors fail 3 times each. After the second set the shop we get our injectors from said they usually see this due to lack of fuel? after the third set we installed a second CP3 pump in each truck so far they have made it 10K further than the last set... whats really bad is that these truck only have about 165K on them...
  8. As for the most of the issues I have had to deal with was bad injector bodies due to lack of fuel pressure and or firing. I guess the 2nd cp3 isn't necessary...

  10. check your TV cable. make sure it's snapped in on the trans and also check the other end where the APPS sensor is. If the cable came loose this would cause some funny shifting and locking problems. When i rebuilt my trans I didn't get the little screw tight on the TV linkage and it wasn't opening the valve all the way and it was shifting hard.
  11. I keep as much of my money and ALL my guns in my house with me and my family. CT I know you don't have any gauges but I think your surging problem is dealing with drive pressure/boost pressure the so the goal that guys are trying to get to is a 1/1 ratio of boost pressure to drive pressure... low drive pressure = low boost high drive pressure = high boost pressure fluctuating drive pressure = surging on the turbo with your 4" exhaust is it straight pipe or does it have a muffler?
  12. I picked up an 1/8npt 0-30psi gauge from Napa for $20 It will install right on top of your filter housing. Remember to use the yellow Teflon tape on fuel lines the diesel has a tendency to eat away the white stuff and cause leaks...
  13. We need to come up with an idea on how to keep the injectors from failing(with out having to add a second CP3) in the third gens...
  14. Ive seen a lot of off road equipment (tractors specifically John Deere) with worse cracks than that in the exhaust housings. There not growing or causing problems as of the last 3 yrs.

  19. It's a good upgrade to the 2nd gen trucks. I just read an article on Diesel power mag about turbos and upgrading. The HE351 is very comparable to the ATS Aurora 3000. As for parts you will need the outlet pipe to the inter cooler I think I've seen them on cummincperformanceparts.com for $125 and free shipping. The oil line fits I believe but you may need to re clock the turbo get the oil line to line up where it needs to be. You will need his down pipe to make it easier.

  22. My kid was helping me do an oil change about 3yrs ago and while removing the oil filter he somehow broke the boost elbow. I just plugged it off and ran it that way for 2yrs never once got a cel on any of it.
  23. So I'm running my stock turbo and I have the ability to get a turbo out of an 04 5.9. Would it be an upgrade over my stock turbo if so what else would I to do to make it work.
  24. The body control module is located between the ashtray and the cover below the steering wheel. It is also referred to as the CTM (central timer module) the key difference is do you have radio controls on the back side of the steering wheel? As for the shifting of the Trans. Take a volt meter and measure the voltage between the negative terminal and the cable on your battery.
