  1. Still deciding whether to pick up a cheap tablet as well.... decisions decisions
  2. Never seen a shim in the two I've had open. When you say forward... you mean push the shaft indo the carrier correct? Could it be because the axle was from a 3500? Not sure what the differences are. If you don't want to mess with shims you could always take a bit of material off the face of the collar.
  3. I've though about it, but for the price of the aftermarket system I couldn't justify trying to make the factory one work. You can pick up an aftermarket one for 25 bucks and wire it in yourself. I do understand wanting the factory one though.
  4. So the collar physically won't push far enough to disengage? Only way that could happen is if the two shaft surfaces have worn each other down.
  5. Back on topic.... mount for the phone. Any other ideas?
  6. HEY it still gets the job done You know Golden.... Turning radius
  7. You shouldn't be testing it often though.... Unless you bought POS gauges
  8. Thanks! I got it from a buddy but it doesn't have a brand on it. Looks just like this one though http://www.amazon.com/Pypes-Exhaust-EVT406-Polished-Stainless/dp/B00CIMABMU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1456182392&sr=8-1&keywords=4-6in+exhaust+tip Thanks! PITA to build, but I really like the extra protection it provides the front end.
  9. You could unhook the full time gauge and use that port to test.
  10. Dad's friend took his mom out for a plane ride on mothers day.... engine dropped a valve over some pretty rough terrain, but he was able to nosedive it and get enough speed to land it on a random dirt road in BFE. I had to go help take the plane apart and get it back to the hangar. Sooooo I don't like to fly much
  11. That's why I've got both. The Quad does data logging which I really like too.
  12. When you're likely pushing over 600hp.... it's a good idea to have lots of tools. RUN IT ON THE EDGE OF DESTROYING ITSELF. That's how I keep mine scared straight
  13. Most would cut the line about a foot before the VP and put a T in. From there you can test. Most would prefer a full time gauge though, not just a test port.
  14. I'm not a big fan of that either... I'm not too worried about the analog gauges but more where to mount the phone and possibly a new tablet. That's near where mine is too! I was going to remove it but it makes clearing those 2 pesky codes easier than busting out the smarty. Nice setup! I like to keep mine in pods though. Really trying to find a spot for the phone / tablet though. Thanks! I just want it in a decent spot that doesn't block too much view. I'd like to try a tablet because they're easier to read but not sure how yet.
  15. When I'm at school I like to have one.... It's come in handy helping friends change U joints and such
  16. Reflection on the camera... dang thing. I've got the three on the pillar, my phone suction cupped to the windshield, drive pressure by my left knee, one on the steering column and a scangauge II by the ash tray. I think I need more cab! I do wish they made a dual steering pod like the 3rd gen's have.
  17. Correct they are universal. Here's a list. I bought the baby one to keep in the truck http://www.harborfreight.com/catalogsearch/result?q=grease+gun
  18. Let's see your gauge setups! Need ideas where to put my phone / gauge thing
  19. Spiders and snakes... they scare the living chit out of me!!
  20. Still seems really low, especially since CR motors are supposed to have more compression than the SO 24v. I way 400+ on all cyl @170K or so. If it doesn't have blowby though run it and don't worry
  21. Same as CSM. I keep one in the toolbox
  22. I think I could set a frying pan on mine and cook some eggs. Summer project...
  23. There's a screen in the pump if you want to pull it apart and see if it's plugged. Mine are always screaming hot as well. @Mopar1973Man How hot do yours get??
  24. I highly doubt his engine was hot, considering the body of the injector was cracked. If he drove it there that wasn't a good idea either.... If he had said 350psi I could live with that. But being 100psi down across the board isn't good. To me that would mean either something wasn't sealed when testing or the truck would have quite a bit of blowby.
