  1. Any tips for heating a big shop?? 45x55 is a lot of area, and the ceiling is high! High enough a 103 bale stack wagon can be dumped easily.
  2. Ah that makes sense. They spool a ton quicker! Especially when the engine is warm. You need to come drive mine to actually see the difference. It's hard to quantify the numbers
  3. What do you mean?? I'm not sure what you're asking
  4. Smaller wheels and tighter housings give better spool. Here's the 75 I have. If you call them you can talk them down too! I forgot what I paid but it wasn't as much as the link provided. http://www.ebay.com/itm/291207922664?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&rmvSB=true&autorefresh=true Heck I'll help you install if you want. Just buy them while you're out here! If not, you can always call me or text me.
  5. Unless you're above 25-2800 all the time, I don't think the cam is worth all the hype. That's a lot of work and money that can go elsewhere. I run the smarty on 1 because it's the least smokey and my mileage is the best. These injectors are HUGE, but I can definitely try different settings for the heck of it. Might even start looking for a TS MVP as it's one of the few I haven't run. Really wish I still had the power puck though What are you looking for s400 wise? I'm assuming a 75, but what about the exhaust side? I MIGHT start looking for a larger primary, but I'd like to set it on the dyno first.
  6. I finally got a DP gauge installed and am not experienced in this area. As you'll see in my sig, I've got tight housings and small wheels on both turbos to keep fast spool (elevation ) I expected a very high ratio, but it isn't as bad as I thought. So onto the results.....Smarty only on level 1Boost: 50overall didn't look at primary DP 60Opened the gate wide openBoost: 42overall primary at 25 DP 55The next test was a bit more difficult because I kept breaking the tires loose in 4th on dry pavement and didn't want to be doing 90+ in 5th.TST on 7 smarty on 1Boost: 70overall didn't look at primary DP 90Opened the gate wide openBoost: 62overall primary at 35 DP 80So, given that what do you guys think??I will say EGT's are sky high with the TST on and the exhaust is less than clear. The gate on the secondary could be opening early as well because the gate is set to open at 25ish on shop air. (meaning drive pressure might be opening it) The secondary's gate doesn't seem to be an issue though.Discuss......
  7. Our arms go to about 6'3 at the bottom. I'm 6'2 and can stand for almost everything.
  8. Correct. I should have been more specific. My bad! Yes, you can run it with the cover off. The worst thing that will happen is oil running off the back of the head. Not a big deal
  9. Pull the filter and cut it open.... hope to god there aren't any shavings in it.
  10. That's too definitive to be a timing knock IMO. Loosen them until you hear the engine start to missfire. You'll know when it's loose enough.
  11. That is painful to listen to... Start cracking injector lines and see if you can narrow it down to a single cylinder.
  12. 0217 is an engine overheat... weird. I know unhooking the batteries doesn't erase codes, but maybe unhooking will reset something. Worth a try IMO
  13. Sounds more like a vp issue to me. I'd pull the cables overnight just for the heck of it. Can't hurt!
  14. The 6.0 was a real winner of a motor.... Yes, those engineers need to be beaten with a big stick!!
  15. EASY there Mike some of us engineers have actually worked on things!
  16. Here's a couple more pictures. Headlights, headlights and fogs, headlights fogs and light bar. Finally got the fender liners cut. I'll throw up a better pic when it's washed.
  17. Does anyone here do any snowmobiling / off-roading, or have any cool "wilderness" pictures to throw up? I like to see nature so throw some pics up! Here was m adventure from today.
  18. Sounds to me like the pilot bearing is sticking. I wouldn't drive it too long the way it is either. You don't want it to tear up the input shaft.
  19. Picked up the bumper the other night Started working on the coolant line that goes to the heater core. It had 5 or 6 zip ties holding it in place, and that's not how I want the truck held together, so things had to be re-done. Ended up removing the intake, intermediate pipe, and taking the cartridge out of the secondary.... all to get the line out. It was actually easier than expected. I just ran a longer hose straight up, and put a longer, straight hose coming off of the heater core. I also welded a tab onto the metal pipe to secure it to a manifold bolt. Got some work done on the bumper too. The two fogs are wired in using waterproof plugs. They're wired into the stock fog light switch, and they draw less amperage than a regular bulb. I've still got to wire in the light bar, make a mount for the switch, and make a mount for the MPG fooler. I think it's looking pretty good though.
  20. Thank you. Yes it's Raptor Liner http://www.amazon.com/U-Pol-Products-0820-RAPTOR-Black/dp/B00N4WIAE4/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1451974665&sr=1-1&keywords=raptor+black
  21. In the end, it comes down to what YOU want. If you really like the truck, fix it and roll on. If you want something new go for it! What I will say is these trucks are easy and cheap to fix. Everything you have listed above MIGHT cover the cost of a set of injectors in a CR. If I were you, fix one thing a week, and in no time it'll be the way you want it.
  22. That would look cool! Too bad I live in Colorado.... Epoxy Primer Bed Liner
  23. I mix them. get the benefit of the 2 stroke adding lubricity and the benefit of the fuel not gelling. Adding just the PS doesn't help with the lubricity enough. The 2 stroke doesn't make the fuel gel, right?
  24. Bumper DONE. Sanded and sitting in the paint booth
