  1. View from my t-day hang out.
  2. You look like the herds of paid rioters that are causing all kinds of trouble around my area with the NODAPL pipeline BS. And what makes your picture even worse is it would appear you are on some sort of bus as well. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-11-13/blocks-anti-trump-protest-buses-caught-tape Not funny from my perspective.........just sayin.
  3. Having run both the BD super B with 90 hp injectors and edge comp and then running an II Silver 62 with 155 hp injectors and an HRVP44 with hot unlocked comp with an auto and 3.54 gears if I shifted it manually to keep the rpms up a bit higher as would be the case running lower gears then the power would come on a ton sooner versus running it in automatic it would dog and spool a lot slower and smoke a lot more if the rpms were not as high to start with.
  4. With his 4.10 gears it should be very happy and not as lazy as it would be with 3.54 gears.
  5. On my old 02 i ran 150 injectors an HRVP44 edge comp and an Industrial injection silver 62 turbo for several year with stock gasket and bolts and regularly sled pulled and drag raced on rare occassions. was @ 560 hp with an auto which had only a BD VB and a single disc BD converter that held my power for over 100k miles. With your 4.10 gears I would go with a 62mm turbo as well along with 100 hp injectors and you would be one happy fellow. But even just upgrading a little bit like going from the HY35 to an upgraded hybrid HX35 or a super B turbo would make you really happy with smaller injectors like 75 -90 hp max. Click on the link in my signature to see it in action. Sold it @ 155K and the head had never been off and the trans had never been rebuilt. was going strong yet after years of fun and abuse.
  6. He needs to let justice play out and not let Hillary and the corrupt Clinton crime cabal continue its deep rooted corruption in our government, he needs to bust this up in order to "drain the swamp". I feel America getting great already.
  7. I used to be a hard core Ski Doo/ Sea Doo man, gotta love the Rotax power plants. Have not owned or ridden a sled for 18 years or a PWC for about 9 years since upgrading to a pontoon in 07. Still got out on some friends PWC every year yet though. I used to think I was made for winter when I was younger and then fat and out of shape but now that I am 80+ lbs lighter and older I hate winter more and more every year and we have not had a real winter for 3 years.
  8. Have not seen -40 in my area for many years probably 90's. 20-30ish is the yearly norm but the last 2 years i think -20 for a few days was the most. I can remember a spell in the 80's where we did not get above 0 for about 6 weeks.
  9. According to this some of us need to be prepared for something harsh. Here on the Northern plains we are pretty much always prepared, just a way of life for us. https://weather.com/news/weather/news/snow-siberia-russia-united-states-cold
  10. Just set a new record high here @ 78 yesterday. Some of the wifes friends were wake boarding on the Missouri in Bismarck area today too but was only mid 60's today and windy they are more hard core and younger than i am and all had full wet suits on too, Florida here we come in a few...... Today I was actually doing a final mowing of the mother in laws farm yard before doing the end of season service and maintenance on the mower so its ready to fire and go next year. Worked on my kubota engine swap project for a couple hours this morning in a tee shirt, Awesome for first week of November and all this coming week still highs of about 60+-.
  11. We have light plants at work with Kubota engines with 20K+ hours with nothing but basic oil changes, I know for a fact not a single one has ever had a valve adjust even. Getting fired up and running a set speed its whole life is a lot different than getting varied and heavy loads put on them like in a tractor scenario. Much like comparing a Cummins in an over the road life where a million miles is easy peasy versus a daily driver life where half a million miles would be an extreme stretch.
  12. I requested he not bead blast, pressure wash and then prime and paint it as that is what he was going to do before he shipped it out, I asked him to ship it as is so i could see first hand what i was dealing with plus i didn't want the issues of having bead blast media stuck in seals and everywhere else to cause issues nor water inside any open intake or exh ports.
  13. If anyone is interested in following along I just started a thread over on the Kubota Forum which will document the project along the way. http://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27513 Well here are some teaser pics of the new to me newer version V2203 di engine I got from member cviola for my L2850 engine swap project. For those in question of this project a quick update is I purchased the L2850 with known bad engine for a song and dance price with numerous attatchements. Found out the crankshaft had broken and upon doing some research found that the V2203 enginges would be a direct swap so the search started. Took a couple months to nail down an engine which took me off guard. Was being picky and wanted a lower hour engine and this one according to cviolas supplier cam out of a wrecked trucks refer and "Supposedly" has roughly 3k hours on it unlike the norm of 10K+ hour refer engines. Here is a link to my original post with pics of the engine damage of the v1702.Now the fun begins. i will keep things updated but will be a few weeks before getting too deep into it as work and vacation schedule the next few weeks and then getting a parts list of basics like gasket kits and seals ect ordered for it will take a bit.http://www.orangetractortalks.com/fo...ad.php?t=25377First pic was having it loaded up yesterday afternoon in back of my pickup at work where I had it shipped to. The little B2250 got put to work unloading the engine this morning. There was a question as to wether or not the exhaust manifold from my old V1702 would fit and work on the V2203 so I did a quick fit test and it will work perfectly. When I swap the oil pans and drill the block for the dipstick i am going to pull a main and rod cap to inspect the bearings and crank journals before going any farther in case this engine is in need of some deeper work which I hope not. Then I am going to do a valve adjust right away as well. And then pull the injectors and take them to the injection shop for a quick pop test and clean and adjust if needed and do a compression test at the same time. Not going through this much work to blindly install a used engine of unknown maintenance and history without doing some investigation of my own.
  14. I'm sure winter will hit eventually. Someone will be ready..............
  15. 69* here today 22* warmer than the daily average highs, not one single complaint to be heard..................Went for a 6 mile run in shorts and short sleeved shirt and had a good sweat going, usually would have at minimum of 2 layers on and gloves doing a run this time of year. Last 3 Thanksgivings either here or in Bozeman MT. have been below zero so this is awesome for as long as it lasts. This year turkey day is going to happen in Florida somewhere for the Mrs and I.
  16. Largest single contribution that "Man" has done to change the world climate is modern farming. The destruction of millions upon millions of acres of rain forests world wide is the single most destructive thing reshaping the way this world works not to mention all of the toxins from the chemicals mused in modern farming. Not nearly enough emphasis put on this fact where its easier to blame fossil fuels run by big businesses but turn a blind eye to the primary reason.
  17. "Like with a cloth or something?" New product release, the comments are priceless in the link. https://www.bleachbit.org/cloth-or-something
  18. Why does this scene from Dr. Strange love come to mind reading this?
  19. Nitrogen filled tires is a huge safety item and especially in large tires in certain industrial areas where one doesn't want any more oxygen from a blown tire feeding or fueling a fire or even a tire fire. I would bet that in 99.9% of the automotive tire shops they are wasting time and money if they are filling with nitrogen. Having had training in tires and tire safety coming from the mine industry where tires can run up to the $250K each price range for some tires longevity is key. To properly fill a tire with nitrogen the correct way is extremely time consuming and unless one has access to a bulk liquid nitrogen supplier is a waste of time for those who claim to fill them with nitrogen. To do it correctly requires the tire be seated to the bead and aired up to ensure it is sealed and then aired back down and pulled into a slight vacuum but not to unseat the bead, then the nitrogen filling starts and it needs to be filled with nitrogen and drained down into a vacuum 2 times and then a final fill of nitrogen to get a near pure nitrogen fill. See the issue here? It is much more stable and does help tires last longer and the pressure doesn't change with temp differences like normal atmo air plus like I said it is the safety issues as well when it comes to fire ect. Back on track.
  20. Sweet if I ever get out your way I will bring my shot gun. http://shootexplodingdrones.com/
  21. I was just out there about 4-5 years ago, I have a cousin we visited who had a house In Arlington which she just sold last summer not far from you and she moved down to Seattle.
  22. What? I have traveled a lot of the USA and Hawaii and next to the island of Kauai Hawaii the pacific NW is the most beautiful area of the USA I and my wife have seen to date. I have not been to the Appalachia region of the eastern USA yet but hear it is awesome as well.
  23. Good way to call out those in society who think they are "Oppressed", they need only take a long hard look in the mirror to see who is actually oppressing them.
  24. Yeah for 400 bucks i couldn't say no to the deal, tires are Cooper STT 285-70-17 and if I get about 5-10K out of whats left of them I will be happy. He even had one extra brand new center cap for me along with a full set of security lug nuts with the key socket, the chrome paint has flaked off the center portion of the center caps but I am thinking about painting the center of them black.
