  1. You have an auto as well..................putting a pattern together here. Have you checked the shift linkage rod like I posted about above?
  2. If its an auto tranny I had this issue with all three of my 2nd gens and it wound up being the shift rod that runs between the body and the frame on the driver side gets dry and makes a very annoying clunk in the floor board area by the sheering shaft. It is a simple ball socket type connector that just needs lube and it has taken care of it on all my 2nd gens. Man I do not miss chasing constant issues of the 2nd gens anymore.

  4. I need links to such evidence, I have yet to read any bad reviews like that about them. Not saying there are none i would just like to see the links to the info. Talk without pictoral and failure analysis report from treadwright on why the tires came apart is worthless.
  5. Guys I know who runs them here get crap for miles out of those tires. 1200 OMG ................Treadrites look better to me all the time, I am loving the wardens on my 1500 Hemi and can't wait to get the set waiting in my shed on the cummins. I had under 1200 invested in 8 tires to my door. $560 each set of 4 delivered.
  6. I'm sure the VW Touareg 4.1l V-8 TDI would get the trailer rolling quite well. might be a bit light in the suspension end. 340 hp and 590 tq isn't too bad. http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/2014-volkswagen-touareg-v-8-tdi-first-drive-review Lots of towing videos out there.
  7. The above spells VW TDI right there!!!!!!!!
  8. drain the diesel out of it and fill it up with gas lol..................sorry couldn't help myself.
  9. Ha ha, reminds me of deer hunting with a buddy years ago, he had just bought a brand new Winchester rifle and on his first outing with it after doing a drive got back to the pickup and he sees his bolt is missing. Needless to say we covered a couple miles in the snow once he unloaded his gun and left the bolt open rather than lock it shut. We back tracked looking for it for an hour or so realizing it was a lost cause. He was mad as hell. had to send the rifle back to Winchester because the bolt is fitted to the action so had to have a new one made, took over a year to get his gun back. I can still see the veins in his head popping out lol.....
  10. Fall colors? heck I wish we had that much green in the height of summer lol.
  11. I can't wait to see pics of them prepared and how they will be served on a plate CSM.
  12. So who pays the wages and buys the tools for the techs there, do they live on welfare? Who works for free these days?
  13. My experience with the three 2nd gen I owned over the years is that the multi function switch's always made the head lites do funny things and no other issues.
  14. Is it new or used brass that seems to be rubbing? Did you do full length sizing before loading them or just neck them? I just picked up some of Amsoils new Gun cleaner protector the other day and will try that out here really soon to see how it works. Need to see how it does on the horrible powder residue build up on my revolvers which is always a test for a gun cleaner. http://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-product/other-products/cleaners-and-protectants/firearm-cleaner-and-protectant/?code=FCPSC-EA
  15. Have you thought about a resonator from FTE? And yes Resonator as far forward as possible and muffler to the rear for best results.
  16. Ah, got it, you don't have another rifle?
  17. Did you buy it new? if so i would be taking it in for some warranty work.
  18. Hoping for the best for you two. Most important is to just be there for her, other than to let family and close family friends know what is happening "stuff' can be put on the back burner.
  19. Also remember that relays come as constant duty cycle and intermittent or short duty cycle as well. I have been bit in the back side numerous time chasing ghostly electrical issues and found this to be the case where folks buy a relay off the shelf for constant duty use and it winds up being a light duty relay and they have issues where an accessory works for a while and then just quits for no reason.
  20. Pickle forks are worthless and are good at only destroying things you may want to reuse. Best is a good heavy hammer and some good hard wraps against the housing itself not the actual tie rod. They will most always pop loose by wrapping on the housing that the joint is stuck in rather than trying to get the joint itself out.
  21. There are unicorns here in ND. http://www.bismanonline.com/williston_nd/29_500_obo http://www.bismanonline.com/grand_forks_nd/2011_dodge_cummins_laramie_3500
  22. What year is it? Since its a crew cab assuming its a 4th gen, how much?
  23. My 05 is entering the unicorn category as time passes "My wife loves that thing and would never let me part with it" . I have put less than 10K on my 05 over the last 3 years, just sits in the shop collecting dust most of the time and now that summer is over where its main use is pulling my pontoon now days and its going to bed for the winter next week too. Only has 125K on it. Not bad for 12 years old. My 2010 1500 hemi is my dd'er and has 108K on it already she gets around 20K a year and I use it for pulling my other goose neck trailers now for the most part depending on what it is.
  24. I was wondering the same thing but thinking he is referring to the last year and a half of having a 6.7 in a 3rd gen. Sort of like the coveted 1998 quad cab 12v 2nd gen. Nice thing about the 6.7 is they pull so much harder and make tons more power a lot cheaper and easier than the 5.9 along with the OEM exhaust brake on the 6.7. I have not heard of near as many injector / engine issues with the 6.7 either.
  25. If he wants a mega cab then he has 2 engine options in the 3rd gen 5.9 in the 06 to mid 07 and then 6.7 mid 07-08. 4th gen all 6.7.
