  1. A good but longish read. Of course it is ignored my The MSN. http://www.beliefnet.com/News/Articles/Harvard-University-Study-Reveals-Astonishing-Link.aspx?p=1
  2. I will have to dig as well, I think as a 1971 baby I saw B&W photos of me but as a toddler on up all I remember are dull instamatic color photos and polaroid photos of me in Plaid pants.
  3. Don't forget about the 2 faced anti gunner celebrities and other civil servants who have armed body guards as well. Michael Moore comes to the top of my head at the moment.
  4. Thanks, welcome to the site and good job on the write up, I forgot I was going to do this but you did it now so I am off the hook. lol.
  5. Both 1500 chassis, I guess that was good enough for them.
  6. My wife has been getting flack from a lot of folks now with this stuff going on, she laughs and tells them "mine does 45+ mpg what does yours do?" that is a usually a conversation ender.
  7. In reference to another post here recently on the site about apples to oranges, this story fits the theme to a tee. Not sure how or why they even thought this to be an equal comparison. http://www.autoguide.com/car-comparisons/2015-ford-f-150-2-7l-ecoboost-vs-ram-1500-ecodiesel
  8. Just read a story a couple days ago where the EPA is now going after "Big sun" saying sun light is bad for plant life now..........................and then they tried to back peddle on their own words and made themselves look even dumber than they are.
  9. Ha Ha that pretty much describes 90% of the conversations on this site which I point out as such and then get the cold shoulder for or key board lashed quite often, so if I can't beat em I just join in. Damned if I do Damned if I don't. Hope the Full throttle switches work out lol.
  10. At least not since the late 70's and early 80's Diesel Rabbits anyhow, I have been around many of those over the years and the pics are not far off for those old dogs when they were not timed or tuned correctly.
  11. Is that spray on or roll on stuff?
  12. Don't forget the heat disipators or heat sinks then if soldering that small of stuff. Basically like an alligator clip, may save yourself some headaches going forward if doing that many with small resistors.
  13. Looks great, silver could be from a number of sources but most likely from bearing wear, zinc additives can cause silver to show as it is kind of corrosive to silver.
  14. Sounds like my 02 did for the 135K miles I put on it B4 selling it.
  15. Wheel to housing contact or damage and oil as stated above.
  16. May want to pop the down pipe off the turbo and inspect the exhaust side of the turbo as well as long as you are looking at things.
  17. Not just the grid heater gaskets, it could be the intake cover gasket itself as well.
  18. That is what we are trying to say, by checking all the hose clamps from the turbo to the intercooler all the way to the intake horn. It will cause a whistle or screach if there is a boost leak caused by a blown or loose hose or clamp.
  19. After running three 2nd gens another cause for a clunk under the driver side floor boards that all 3 developed was a dry automatic shift linkage ball socket near the frame, need to pump grease into the ball socket every so often, took me forever to find that one on my 95 1/2 ton and then my 99 2500 V-10 and then my 02 cummins all did the same thing over time..................Man I love my 3rd and 4th gens now after looking back at all the work I put into the 2nd gens I had over the years.
  20. You may have a warped air filter housing not letting the filter seal properly. Not an uncommon issue on 2nd gen air boxes. And to add to Tylers post time to check all the clamps from the turbo and make sure the hoses are not cut or slipped back a bit ect.
  21. "Elevated Idle or fast idle" to be correct, governed speed is technically "High Idle". But hey if folks want to run their rigs that fast who am I to judge?
  22. Other than being filthy and showing signs of dirt erosion on the blade tips it looks ok otherwise. What are you running for an air filter? Does it spin freely or have any resistance while turning it?
