Looking for a new truck
Any reason for not looking into a 3rd gen Cummins? Just curious, Having had 3 second gens over the years I would never go back to one unless it was just a project rig for pulling or mud running ect something that would not be a road rig. I have sooo much more time on my hands and money in my pocket not having to be continuously working on the 2nd gens over the years. Lot more solid rigs than 2nd gens.

4th Gen Door glass replacement
Forgot to take pics but oh well, got the window in and after going slow and inspecting as I went it wasn't too bad a job, it is a neat way they do the regulator unit. One takes the inner door panel off then inside there is a second door panel that mounts to the inside of the door, there are several electrical connectors one needs to unhook for various things, the regulator unit is actually part of the inner door panel and comes out quit easily once I figured what all to unhook and how, even the door latch assembly and mechanism comes out with it, only thing that needs to get un hooked it one snap linkage for the outer door handle to the latch mechanism and they supply a hole just the perfect size to get in to do this. All in all it went well, took about 2.5 hours in total and about an hour of that was cleaning up all the broken glass off the floor as it fell out and vacuuming out the inner door ect.

Front bumper
One doesn't even need to go the full bumper replacement anymore, most of the companies have extremely solid bolt on grill guards now as well. I would not be afraid of going that route seeing some of them the last couple years, these are not the cheap chrome plated tinny junkers. They are even more reasonable at 3-500 used.

Just cleaning house on the suicidal critters..................trying to keep the roads safer for those without. Rut just started and deer gun season opens at noon tomorrow and runs through 3 weekends and 2 weeks so they will be out even more for a couple weeks around me, I live in the middle of heavy Mule and White tail deer country so twice the amount of critters to watch for.

Front bumper
They "Heavy duty front bumpers" have been around for so long now that I find tons of used ones all over the net on various classified sites for half of new. Especially for 2nd gen Dodge pickups. I have bought 3 Ranch hands and absolutely love them, for 1100 bucks each they all have more than paid themselves back with saved deductibles for deer collisions on all 3 rigs especially my 05 Cummins, I have taken out probably 6 deer over the years already. My 2010 Hemi has taken out 3 I can think of as well.

Not enough details released to make any judgment calls but hopefully there are enough there that witnessed it to make a fair case into what exactly happened.

4th Gen Door glass replacement
Well guys hopefully this weekend I will learn how to install a door glass in my 2010 1500 Dodge hemi. Was doing yard work and had the bagger vac on the zero turn mower and it must have slung up a rock and took out my passenger side door window, ordered one right away from Rock auto and hopefully it shows this week and I will put together some pics as I learn myself how to do it.

What are your gas prices
I quit paying attention...................but I did get a 300 dollar dividend check back yesterday from my fuel coop. Filling everything we own including propane tanks adds up over time and its nice to see the result of belonging to a coop. Driving through a local small town which usually has the cheapest fuel in my area glimpsed 3.05 for premium gas which is all I run in everything gas powered I own.

is my AFE pro dry air filter still working??
I would install a filter minder first as well before going with another filter. I ran The same filter for about 100K in very dirty conditions with the outer cover and it was still like new when I sold the pickup. There should be no reason to replace that filter other than if it is damaged, blow gun is all I ever used to clean and my UOA were clean as a whistle.

The thing with Vitamin D3 is there is no such thing as too much, it can not cause any issues even if taking more than necessary like some vitamins, one needs calcium along with it to help the body utilize it better too. It has been proven again and again that Vitamin D3 can help prevent a lot of modern diseases the more they learn about the deficiency a lot have. Trace minerals are another thing every one need more of with our crappy food supply now having little to no nutritional value as the land producing it has been raped of all its natural nutrients and enzymes already as well which is why commercial fertilizers and chemicals need to be so highly used otherwise the land would hardly grow weeds anymore. All comes back to the fact we as a species were never designed by nature to eat seeds from grasses AKA Grains.- MS Progression... think I'm F*
I truly feel for you Russ. I do not have any constructive advice other than seeing what worked for my own mother and what got her through her 40+ year fight with the disease. She was diagnosed with MS in 1970 @ 19 years old and passed 2.5 years ago from other issues on top of the MS. I saw her stay extremely active and take all of her vitamins and supplements for 25 years and keep it at bay for the most part. Then my folks had a terrible split and that consumed her mentally and she gave up in a lot of ways and she took a turn for the worse from there and never could recoupe. She had the most vibrant smile and sense of humor she was known for over the years as that was her main medication, once my folks split that went away for the most part and I saw how the depression and lack of activity took its toll in a very scarey fast pace. Stay as positive as possible and as hard as it may be try and stay busy and active if possible. I am a firm believer in vitamin D3 deficiency as being the main culprit of MS. I take two 5,000 IU's a day. living above the 48th parallel is a main cuprit of vit D deficiency with our long winters and lack of sufficient natural sun light exposure for months on end. There are numerous studies that back this as well.- Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!
Happy belated B-day Mike. Live everyday like its your last........... But keep the bills paid and wear a condom just in case its not!- Teardown and Rebuild
I just look back at the numerous times he used this as an excuse on not doing this and that during the overhaul but then a couple months later spends more and more on the exterior of the engine after the fact.- Site Update & Jobs
Cleared cache on my puter and did f5 thing and it works for me now too. had to paly around trying to find where the new posts were and found this otherwise I would still think the site was still down.- Site Update & Jobs
Had to do the F5 thing a couple times after deleting stuff and now it works but the font size seems very large overall.- Whats the popint?
Of offering a sale when half of what you sell is excluded from being priced lower than what the product supplier sets? Takes good ol competition out of the equation. Here is what I found while playing around on a vendors site offering a 10% off sale, go to check out and 2 of the 3 things in my cart are excluded from being priced lower. read the fine print and deleted my order........ Below is a copy and paste of the fine print and the co's that do not allow competition. Coupon Codes *Due to manufacturer restrictions percentage off discount codes exclude the following: AEM, Airaid, Applied Performance Products, American Force, Amsoil, ATS, Bedrug, Bestop, Bostech, Bullet Proof Diesel, Bushwacker, Bullseye Power, CFM+, Cummins Tuner, Cognito, Diablo Sport, DDP, **** Cepek, Diesel Performance Converters, DualLiner, Dynatrac, DTT, DTECH, Duramax Tuner, Edge Products, Empire Diesel, EFI Live, FASS Fuel, Firepunk, Fleece, Fox Shocks, Ford/Motorcraft, Garrett, GiftCards, Husky Liners, Hellwig, Hypertech, H&S Performance, H&S Motorsports, Injen, Industrial Injection Stock VP44, K&N, MADS Smarty, MBRP, Mean Green, Merchant Automotive, Mickey Thompson, Mag-Hytec, PacBrake, PPE, Pureflow, Pusher, ProMaxx, S&B Filters, Snow Performance, Suncoast, Superchips, South Bend Clutch, Spyder, SSBC, Swamps Diesel, Transferflow, Turbonetics, USA Standard Gear, Volant, Valair, WeatherTech, Yukon.- Big Line Kit
That lil ol 3/16 steel line just doesn't cut it between the filter and IP.- Big Line Kit
Where are you tapping pressure reading from? I did 3/8 from tank through inline screen to FASS 150 HPFP "no filters, pump only" from pump to stock filter hsg then larger banjoes at OEM hsg and 1/2 inch from there to IP and had dead even pressure at all times running 155 injectors and an HRVP44. Tapped in the 1/2 inch line between filter and IP. Reason I am not convinced that 1/2 inch line is needed throughout on our little 5.9L is the engines we run on the mine are 60-70+ litre V16 Cats and Cummins that are burning 70-100 gph @ 1800-2100+ HP @ 1800-2100 RPMs all day long through #8 1/2 inch lines fed through an engine mounted mechanical driven gear pump about the size of a soft ball that has to scavenge its fuel in some cases up 20+ feet.- Big Line Kit
The only place I see a benefit for a big line is between the OEM filter canister and the IP more so to get the enlarged banjo fittings and to replace the very small metal line. 3/8 from fuel tank to aux transfer pump and on to to OEM filter housing is all that's needed.- John Deere 6430 Tractor
We have a JD 6230 at work and it has been the biggest POS on the mine site and fuel system issues and tranny issues have plagued it nonstop, The injectors and HPFP have been replaced several times already 2 times due to bad/dirty fuel not to be blamed on the tractor though. - MS Progression... think I'm F*
