  1. Like war eagle said the attachments are all universal and work on all brands as they all use the same universal quicktach plate anymore. Only thing would be possibly different hydraulic coupler ends if running any auxiliary hydraulic attachments or high flow. Now days all the skidsteers are pretty decent quality, find one you are comfortable with and have local parts and service for. Since these are hydraulic machines make sure to find one that has been serviced religiously. If you start having issues with pumps and drive motors these will hit the pocket book really hard really quick.
  2. I thought it should have 6 as that's what they always used to have but didn't reach up to feel the top side.
  3. Looked it over closer and it does definitely mount to the skid plate itself. Took some pics you can see there are only 4 studs mounting t-case to trans and you can see where it could break the ears off. The mount you see is under the rear of the tranny.
  4. OK Tyler I crawled under mine to check it out closer and you would be correct, it would be more likely to break the mounting ears off the rear of trans than anything on the t-case breaking. Full weight of the t-case and both drive lines hang off 6 studs. The cross member that the brace would mount to is the heavier one of the two so that wouldn't be an issue after looking at how the skid plate is mounted. All in all wouldn't be a bad upgrade just for piece of mind especially if one is running in rough conditions a lot.
  5. In the description it says nothing about the tranny cracking. I am not sure mounting it to the light skidplate mount is a good idea. My skid plate mount bracket is bent up quite a bit so that would not do good things for the housings either or the entire drive line angle all the way to the engine fan. I think it would be ok if it came with a more stout mounting place. Description 4WD transfer case housings on 2003 to 2007 trucks with 48RE transmissions often crack and this is typically due to the lack of support of the heavy 80 lb. transfer case. This kit has been designed to solve this problem and is easy to install.
  6. They do have a larger heavier drivetrain overall as well as a stouter frame versus the 2nd gens. My 05 shot box and my 02 long box scaled up very close to the same weight set up very similar. The 05 was a bit heavier by a couple hundred lbs if I recall.
  7. Going through Genos latest Magazine I came across something I had never seen nor had I ever read of this issue before. Has anyone seen or heard of a t-case housing that cracked due to lack of support? https://www.genosgarage.com/product/adapt-a-case-transfer-case-support-bracket-tc48reac/transfer-case
  8. Did you drive it with them installed yet to see how they rattle your bones when empty lol? At least they are easy to remove and install, just keep the threads lubed up so as not to get them rusted up or keep the bolts installed with anti seize or something to keep them from seizing in. Don't know what the winter road conditions are out there in the winter or what type of cancer causing slurry they put down on the roads out there.
  9. Ugh!!! slant load horse trailers, never figured out that system as have a lot of other old time horse folks. Very unsafe for two and four legged critters.
  10. I tried those and took them off and resold them after only two trips and i didn't have a load on it. just the everyday road bumps made it feel like it was hammering on solid blocks on every single road crack. In fact it was so bad on my 02 I had to pull over a hundred miles into a road trip and take them off along side the road. They are more so designed to be used if one had a load on it all the time to where one would have some compression on the springs already definitely NOT for unloaded driving. I bought mine used as the first owner had the same issue I soon learned this and resold them to someone else that wouldn't listen to reason lol.
  11. You have every right to know what you are breathing and if a primary compressor used for shop air and for respirators needs to be filtered before it is sent out for respirator use. They should have to have some sort of inspection and testing of the air quality posted for the employees to see.
  12. One would need to know what type of compressor and filter system it has on both the intake and output side of things.
  13. Ceramics are the absolute worst choice for frequent stop and go driving for that reason.
  14. Yep ceramic clutches are very aggressive and hold more power but are not the best for a daily driver. My experience is that they grab harder and tend to chatter a bit too. The wear on the pressure plate and flywheel are normal running ceramics and is intensified if a dder. For an over the road load tugger there is no better.
  15. Like stated above medical coding is a big thing for my area as well. Lots and lots of people do that from home full time. Thing is to make decent money one has to be dedicated to lots of keyboard time and being able to double as a hieroglyphics translator to decipher doctors hand written notes a lot of time which takes up valuable time as well as they get paid by the amount of line code info entered.
  16. Do you have a Facebook page? I have loaded videos to facebook and then share that single post to public for all to see. If you do not make the post public only friends or FB users can see it. Is your elliptical new and under warranty yet or did you buy it used?
  17. Just need to be happy with any time spent with her at all. My wife only knew one of her grand mothers and she too passed when my wife was young, my wife is the youngest of a generation and all were gone before she was born. I was lucky enough to know my grand parents. Lost my Grand fathers early when i was in my teens and my grand mothers until my 30's.
  18. On my 02 with auto and 3.54 gears I had an Edge Comp hot unlocked HRVP44 BD 155 injectors and an II silver 62 dynoed @ 560 hp and it was a riot on the street. No need to be any higher I had limited slip and could easily get sideways on the highway even from 60+ mph romps. I towed heavy and daily drove it at that level for over 100K miles did a few drag races and Power pulled it a lot. When I sold it at 150K it still had the OEM head gasket and head bolts in it, she was a virgin yet gated @ 42 psi. You can see a video of it in action in my signature below.
  19. He never worked for redhead, his dad started the Bluetop company here in ND doing truck steering gears and Ryan took it over and has expanded and is growing his business which has included doing some sideline work for redhead gears. He told me what he does for them but can't remember right off.
  20. I am just way to picky and anal about my iron to let anything get anywhere close to deferred. I am making the comparison to my 3rd and 4th gens for comparison. Its all the little things and improvements I was always doing that cost the most. My 3rd and 4th gens I just drive especially the 2010 hemi best pickup I have owned from a maintenance and reliability standpoint...............so far lol They are both low mileage in the big picture with near 120k on the hemi and 130 k on the 05 cummins.
  21. Little known secret is that Bluetop steering does some work for redhead. http://bluetopsteeringgears.com/
  22. I used to be more involved here when I owned several 2nd gens over the years which did nothing but drain my bank accounts and take up a lot of time maintaining them. My 3rd and 4th gens have been great other than basics to date. We still chit chat here but most here are on a whole lot higher level of critical thinking and problem solving heck a lot like to make up issues for fun I think lol. There is a place for different types of chit chat here to keep it separate from the main tech forums and most are pretty good about keeping things in the appropriate spot.
  23. Our short 1-2 week max morel season is just about to hit now that night time low temps are climbing into the 40's this week. Don't usually find them until the nightly temps stay at or hover around 50* for a bit.
