Life style change
Normal diet other than cutting out grain and most junk products that have wheat byproducts in them which is almost every thing on the shelf anymore and cutting WAY WAY back on my dairy intake, lots of nuts "other than peanuts Which are legumes and not nuts anyhow and need to be limited because of high 'bad fat' content", eggs meat cheese vegetables and some fruits although fruit needs to be limited to keep sugar intake under control and berries which are better and have less sugar than fruit. Wife and I eat and cook whole foods back to basic single ingredients made from scratch foods from non GMO organic supplies like our own garden and local farmers markets and a local grocery with an awesome health food section in it. and do not buy anything processed and or most packaged commercial products. One has to stay away from any and all starches like corn ,rice, barley wheat ect. It all comes down to the lie of whole grains being healthy which they are not but are being pushed as such by the gov, fda, usda and all health advocates. One must read the book wheat belly to learn all about it. I could type all day and not scratch the surface of why to go grain free. The human body was never meant to eat the seeds from grass plants we are natural foragers and most of our intake needs to be protein and not carbs from whole grains as all entities try and force us to believe now days and it especially bad as most grains are genetically modified to the point our bodies can not properly break it down be it natural genetically altered through hybridizing or mans intervention in lab GMO franken foods now days.. Cattle have 4 rumens to eat and break down the grass itself not the seeds of the grass plants such as corn oats barley and all the other stuff fed to them in place of grass now days.

Life style change
Almost 9 months and I have given birth to a whole new me, I am down 78-80 lbs and holding steady at the 202-203# mark for the last couple weeks, I never knew how big I was and that it would have even been possible to drop this much weight in less than 9 months. I even broke my elipticle a couple weeks ago after putting a little over 700 miles on it in 8 months so waiting on new parts to come so I tried jogging and was able to do 3 miles non stop and have now been doing about 4 miles every day for a couple weeks now and a friend gave me a total gym and I now do about 15 minutes with it daily as well. I have never been in this good of shape in my life even in high school. Feels awesome. I did my first 5K run with my wife last weekend and did a 28:34 minute run and that was half uphill against the wind at 50* f so not too bad for only having been running for a few days before trying it. I have gone grain free and this has made a huge difference, everyone thinks I look 10+ years younger. Relatives who have not seen me in some time don't hardly recognize me. My wife is loving it more than me I think. Anyone wanting to change their life for the better needs to cut out all wheat and products containing wheat from your diet. I have sat through several seminars and read several books in the last few months and it is mind boggling the difference it has made in my life as it has in others, I am working on some of my family members to cut out wheat. All need to read the book by Dr. William Davis called "Wheat belly". I guarantee it will change your life for the best as it has me. Wheat consumption can and has been tied to almost every health condition of modern times and by cutting it out can eliminate many health issues in a short period of time. http://www.wheatbellyblog.com/ Another great red about the history of wheat and grains and why it kills our health is "Ancient Einkorn Today's Staff of Life" written by D Gary Young. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/22918039-ancient-einkorn-today-s-staff-of-life

Motor Oil's cuss and discuss
Last mining conference I attended a year ago oil reps talked about all the new oils coming down the pipe for the new emissions standards, not just fuel that needs to meet these standards just in case god forbid an engine actually burned an ounce of oil or something. They also talked a lot about your previous post about sampling new oils and fuels for contamination when it arrives on site and many large mine who do this find many differences in quality of oil and fuel directly from the same refiners and manufacturers within days of each other.

Winter front
Once it drops below freezing temps and will stay there for the season if driven as a car. Anything at or above freezing or even close I would not run one personally if it gets worked regularly.

Brutus is down :(
I would find a different machine shop if they think they can clean and inspect it with the valves in the head and why don't they have the tooling to do this, something very fishy there.
-
Brutus is down :(
The machine shop should have had the tooling to pull it apart and it must be pulled apart to mill it anyhow as it would need top be cooked and cleaned for any "Proper" crack inspection which means it would have had to be stripped down anyhow so I am still confused as to why you needed to buy the tool.

Brutus is down :(
So why did you need a valve tool if the head is off and already disassembled at the machine shop?

Oil smoke
My buddys 03 which was totally dusted out and using a gallon of oil every couple hundred miles and actually pushing half of it out the breather didn't even flutter the oil cap on the valve cover.

I need some advice on turbos
I would assume the Jeep would need low end power and torque thus furthering the need for a supercharger versus a turbo.
-
custom hauling this weekend
You know what the grinder weighed? I know they are fairly heavy, just so every one has a reference. You redecorating Petes office already lol? I know you want that spot.
-
I need some advice on turbos
I am not sold on turbos for gassers myself, there are so many great options for superchargers for gassers, I wouldn't even consider a turbo.

Oil smoke
I keep reading in posts over and again where folks claim "My engine doesn't have any blow by"...................BS................every engine on the planet has a certain amount of blow by.

N2 or not N2 - That is the question ?
Not worth the extra money if indeed they charge extra for it, many tire shops just do it. Reason it is not worth it in reality. To get a near complete charge of N2 in the tire it has to be seated with air and to do it correctly they need to pull a vacuum on the tire and refill with N2 at least 3 times to get a nearly complete N2 charge, other than that if they just seat the bead and then let the air pressure equalize and fill with N2 it is at best 50% N2 50% air. They are more stabil if done correctly and temp doesn't affect pressure like air does and it is also nonflammable if one catches fire it will not blow and feed more air to a fire. This is a bigger deal with larger off road tires on heavy mine equipment but I have not seen any company anti up for the time and down time of doing it the correct way. I have been through a week of Off road heavy equipment tire service a few years ago at the Michelin plant in Greenville NC, that is how I learned about this.

Axle identification?
It is rare to still have any tags on them but yeah from the factory they will have tags on the bolts that hold the cover on and or a factory sticker on one tube or another.
-
Axle identification?
Front axle is a Dana 60 all across the board on 2nd gens and rear axle is a Dana 70 since you have a 2500 auto. if you had a manual tranny or 3500 you would have a Dana 80 rear. They should have a cast number on the pumpkin with 70 or 80 as well.

Brutus is down :(

duplicate keys for jeep
I just spent 270 bucks 2 days ago for an extra smart key and fob for my new to me murano that came with only the one as well "Gotta love buying used, save a few bucks on the purchase price to spend it on the back side of the deal" smart key is a dealer only programmable item. Could have gotten the key and fob a bit cheaper other than the dealer but for time wise it only cost me an extra 25 bucks or so.

Jeep in 'on the way'!
I had an 03 Liberty Renegade for about 6 months, awesome little rig but mine had the 3.7 V-6 which is why I only had it for 6 months, traded it in on my wifes 03 TDI Jetta. 15-16 mpg with a little jeep up to 45+ mpg with the jetta. I looked for a liberty diesel before we traded on the Jetta but I couldn't swallow the 20K plus price tag of the then used ones at that time yet.

Brutus is down :(
You going to have the machine shop static balance the piston and rod assemblies or make them so they are all the exact same weight, hear it makes a big difference in how smooth they run after its done?

Help, installed NV4500, won't go into gear
Holy wow ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^should be a DRY housing, that is way too wet to put back together that way, fix the leak before reassembling or you will be doing another clutch very shortly if it is still an active leak, unless it was the slave or trans input that leaked if so take the bell housing off and spray it down real good with some brake cleaner to dry it out a bit..

Cruise control issues
The only time I could use my cruise was with a heavy load on/behind it, driving empty was out of the question it was just too much surge
-
Cruise control issues
My 02 had a vacuum controlled cruise unit, must be an auto / manual difference. I did the straw reducer trick inside the vacuum tube to lessen the surging resulting from adding edge and everything else, it did lessen the surging a bit but didn't eliminate it by far.
