  1. So maybe using that expensive Honda oil is a little wasteful on my part? I've got 825 hours and 4350 miles.
  2. I'm with you on this one. I have an 09 Rancher and feel the pain with the oil changes. If we can figure we can extend the interval I'd be pretty happy:thumb1: By the way how many miles do you have on yours Mike? Dave you say you run Rotella. Does it have the SJ rating (i think that's it) needed for the wet clutches on these ATV's? My neighbor tried cheaping on his quad oil but it came back to bite him because it wasn't spec'd right.
  3. My Scangauge shows my best fuel economy is running in D at about 2000 rpm. But the actual numbers prove otherwise. Why would it not show accurate numbers on my truck but on yours it does? Seems like the greater the load on the engine the more accurate it is.
  4. I was just thinking the same. I'm running 16-17 psi with the same pump.
  5. Do these bushings fit the oem arms?
  6. Who makes the best valve body for a 47re? I'd like something with 2nd gear lock-up. I noticed that there's a major price diff between BD and ATS (with BD being substantially more) so I'm wondering which to go with when the time comes. Or maybe a different brand, depending on what you all think.
  7. So the bushings are replaceable on the oem arms?
  8. Mine was really hard to pinpoint. I actually discovered later that it was easier to see when someone moved the truck a bit then hit the brakes. Rather than using a block in front of the wheel.
  9. Did you check the control arms for loose bushings/bolts? I had the same thing happening and I finally had Dad move the truck back and forth over a block that I placed in front of one front wheel. I was able to locate it then.
  10. Just looked at mine and they're 950 cca.
  11. Well I don't really understand batteries too well but the battery store where I got mine said they would have more capacity than group 27's and I liked that idea. They won't crank any faster but they will crank longer.
  12. I agree with Russ. I actually had to cut one end of the trays to fit mine in but the clamps still work. I'm pretty sure I used group 31's.
  13. I have the same gauge and the same trouble! I have a needle valve and have it just a hair from being totally shut and my gauge still fluctuates a bit. So I hope someone can help.
  14. It's in the pump behind the fitting that leads to the engine. I've got a problem with mine that the fuel pressure swings a good 4 psi. At idle it's not too bad but as soon as I put a little power down the gauge needle is swinging pretty good. I've ordered new springs but just wondering if anybody here has had this problem.
  15. I have no outer wear and no bracket. I put a piece of wood over the studs and the filter sits there like a good boy --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=49.595283,-101.462774
  16. Check the connection where the plug connects to the speed sensor on the rear diff. Mine jiggles loose all the time on rough roads. Sometimes it just puts the lights on and sometimes the speedo quits working.
  17. [*] It's an 09 McCormick xtx 165. We're trading it in for a ttx 190 in March but I'm pretty sure the engine's are the same. I know they're both 6.7 Iveco's so I'm sure the fuel system is the same.
  18. Anybody on here have experience with performance upgrades to agriculture equipment? A rep from the manufacturer of our tractor told me about a chip from Europe somewhere that is the best one out there, had 3 settings, etc but he wouldn't tell me the brand because our tractor still is under warranty. Just wondering if anyone can tip me off on what this unit might be called.
  19. Is it hard on any motor or just these cummins? Just thinking about my days of truck driving and there's guys out there that are pretty fanatical about idling their big rigs till 120* or even higher before even starting to drive easy.
  20. Mine hits 90-100 according to my scangauge. Ambient temp doesn't seem to make a huge difference actually.
  21. Thanks for the awesome info guys:thumb1:
  22. I have the HX turbo. Pepsiocean could you please explain your calculation figuring out the boost requirements? Thanks for the help, I feel pretty dumb when it comes to the turbo/injector aspect of my truck:duh:
  23. So how do you like the 60 hp injectors? Any mpg improvements like the guys see with the 275's? i'd like to go as big as I can with my stock turbo and still not have egt problems.
  24. Just curious about your opinion on the quality of dyed fuel? Here we run a ton of it through all our equipment through-out a year and have had no issues whatsoever with it in years. I know in some provinces they just add dye to regular clear fuel so it's really the same stuff. Or??
